There are so much ignorance, so many limiting beliefs and biases floating about society that sex work is an easy target. People making judgements that no one would ever do this willingly or with enjoyment because of the way it's portrayed and the way we have been brought up to view it. There has definitely been a shift to presenting it more openly and honestly as real and legitimate work, chosen by those who do it. As has been mentioned, read some of the sites designed to positively promote sex work, the blogs that speak about it honestly and the ladies who chose to be in it. THOSE are the views that should have the most impact on how the industry should be viewed not those who chose to react from a place of ignorance. If you step back and look at it as work and then step further back and look at work in big picture terms, there are those jobs that people would and wouldn't do. That's the thing about work, if everyone was geared to only do prestigious high paying jobs or only financial or only retail, there would be a whole failure in society. There are jobs for everyone and it takes many different people to make society work effectively. Sex work is included in this. Some people want to do it and some don't. Those who do, should be allowed to just as those who wish to enjoy that, should be permitted to. Just as those who chose to be garbage men or fish cleaners or bankers or lawyers should be free to do that and people free to chose to enjoy what is being offered. If people could simply look at many things with a different perspective and not attached personal "crap" to it, we would all be living in a much better world. Thankfully, there is at least a bigger stream of varying perspectives than there used to be.

Safety and security are a huge issue and usually the reason why many don't show full face. There have been a number of people outed on different sites, real names revealed, personal lives impacted from close minded judgemental and vindictive people. There are those who take great glee in causing drama and chaos in the lives of others. Some is personal, some is business but either way, it's still an issue. Not everyone is "out" in their regular lives and discretion is a must. There can be many issues in regular lives where this type of work could greatly impact life. Unfortunately society is not at a point where "work is work" and everyone is concerned only with their own lives. Many people have no clue the impact one bit of judgement or gossip can in lives outside the person they are griping about. As has been stated, if a face pic is a deal breaker, then find someone who shows their face, don't complain about it. It's highly unlikely someone will create potential utter chaos in their lives for the sake of someone unknown. There are ALWAYS reasons for everything: rates, face or no face pics, hours of availability, locations etc. Most are not in this business to upset people for no reason. Just as those who partake have lives and responsibilities that limit when they can see people or how much they have available. Respect is needed on both sides.

I also believe guilt is a taught/learned behavior. Through generations we have been taught a long list of things we should feel guilty about and many of these things are judgements from others on how we should behave. I believe we have to honestly look at many of the things we feel guilty about and determine if it is programmed/learned or if it IS truly coming from within ourselves as a guiding point. So many people feel guilty when they "self care" yet this is one of the most important things we can do for ourselves. Life is not black or white. There are so many nuances and intricacies to it and every situation is unique to the people involved. if we approach our lives with love and respect and in doing what's best for ourselves and those involved, I feel there will be a lot less guilt and a lot more love and happiness. In regard to the aspects pertaining to this industry, there is SO much judgement and guilt flung about from so many sources. If it adds to your life, makes you happy, fulfills a need and isn't hurting anyone, why feel guilty? If someone is guilty because of someone else's opinion or judgement, the true issue is why does someone else's opinion have the ability to steal power and make them feel that way. If it's because of a relationship, where does the guilt stem from and is it because we should or shouldn't do this or that (learned behavior) or are we ignoring something we are not open and honest about looking at. Having the thought of a Universal Standard is a learned concept. It implies everyone has to fit into the box and everyone is the same when that's very far from the truth. Each and every person is unique and what bothers one, doesn't bother another. If both have the same experience and society judges that experience as negative or bad and something you should feel guilty about, if one feels guilt and the other doesn't, what does that say? It says that it's a taught/learned behavior. I think we unnecessarily suffer a LOT due to learned behaviors and limiting beliefs.. including guilt!

I think this term came from necessity. BBW as defined by most of the clothing and advertising industries, starts around a size 12 and goes all the way up. A small BBW would be someone on the 12-16 end of the the range while a SSSBBW would be on the much larger end. The fact that they are using this term to describe most of the "normal" population and treating size 0-4 as "normal" just says how screwed up things are. Too many people get hung up on labels which in and of themselves are fickle. What is small, large, curvy, solid, voluptuous etc to one person, can mean something completely different in another. It's one of those things that requires too much energy to keep up with and even then you'd be wrong.
