I am fine with just email. Like you, it's nice to track the conversation. It is also a nice way to "start the process." I think with email, you both get a better sense of the other person BEFORE you meet. It seems that texting is like tweeting...just a stream of conscientiousness going directly from the brain to the fingers and then press send IMHO.
