Never forget that sexual exploitation is a serious problem. It is not pleasant to think about and it is out of sight so many prefer to ignore it. There are current cases of women in Winnipeg who were beaten, provided with drugs and pimped online. Anyone pimping and exploiting women deserves whatever they get.

Reality is a lot of guys do leave when the actual product is way different than the ad. Patronising those who mislead only encourages them. I admire the ladies who are honest and work hard at looking their best.

I talked to a porn stare once about this. (I had a couple of porn star sessions years ago) She said many intentionally try to have an entirely different look for the camera than their natural look. That lessens the chance of them getting recognised in public. And of course they need makeup for video or their features will be washed out by the lighting. Many of these before/after galleries are from makeup artists' websites. They want to show how creative they are, or how they can give someone a "look". It is obviously in their interest to have as much of a difference as possible with and without the makeup artist's work.

Cristy your pics were awesome...sigh. Nudes are generally a better guide than fancy costumed studio shots. But they are also subject to photoshopping and other enhancements. I wish there were some kind of standard poses and costumes to make pictures of different people more directly comparable.

Before going on a week long trip both parties need to be comfortable with each other. Seeing someone once for an hour is no guarantee. I took a lady to Banff for a few days, I thought it would be great but it was a disaster. I'd seen her for lots of one hour/two hour sessions. Sleeping together, eating together, arguing over leaving the toilet seat up or down...whole different ball game. Just got back from ten days in Mexico with a great gal. Had a wonderful time, so it can work!

FWIW there are independent medical examiners in the USA that do testing on a commercial fee for service basis. I have done this for another issue. (long story, please don't ask) The explanation of the results was very good, as good as any Canadian doctor, and not rushed. They also go into FAR FAR greater detail on several parameters than Canadian doctors.

To be precise, it costs the lady money if you change your mind on the doorstep. Even if you do not proceed she has already done a lot of prep work: she travelled to her workplace, cleaned it, dressed up, maybe wasted several dollars' worth of makeup (jeez that stuff is expensive eh?) etc. All for nothing. An hour of revenue lost. Are you going to make it up to her? How do you back out without hurt feelings? "Sorry lady nothing personal but you are too ugly for me". If the face is a deal breaker then go with a face you like.

A few years ago my favourite lady spent a summer in Vancouver. Rather than visit a stranger I flew from Winnipeg to Vancouver just to see her.

Meanwhile others have left the comforts of home behind, they have travelled to the other side of the world for months and months, sometimes years. Going to dangerous places where evil people roam free and prey upon others. Trying to come between those evil ones and stop them from hurting others. Getting shot at, driving over roads that have land mines. Seeing friends injured, killed, knowing it could happen to them. They come back. They look like everyone else. You wil never know them. But they have done and seen things you cannot imagine. Do not make so many assumptions about everyone else.

Charlie lampooned everyone, politicians, the Pope, celebrities. So why was it not a Catholic who shot them? Why was it not Angela Merkel? Tom Cruise? Some of us accept our shortcomings and can laugh at ourselves. Others are so insecure and filled with self loathing their only reply is violence.
