It was real lazy journalism at it's worst. A rehash of Joy Smith's Senate speaking points dressed up as "a new study". CBC isn't even trying anymore, so disappointing because they used to be very good. Posted via Mobile Device

How could it possibly be considered not negative? Even the original poster said ge could not be sure she was the one who gave it to him. This is definitely negative and abusive. You are spreading an unfounded accusation which was weak to begin with. Posted via Mobile Device

Last thing You want to hear, 5am news repeating all the nonsense. Paraphrasing:a new study says girls as young as 13 are recruited in the thousands, and the handlers make 280k a year off each of them. All a rehash of the Joy Smith melodrama in her Senate presentation last week wrapped up as new. I expect better from the CBC. They should not be regurgitating this nonsense!

Safety - How do you all stay safe?

You should meet up with another local SP for some mentoring. What ladies do is their own private business in my opinion. Welcome aboard and good luck. :motion: -
Am I sitting too close to my TV?

55 inchers at costco today $1677 for Samsung and $1700 for LG and they have RCA ones at Walmart already. The improvement is obvious but like you say there is not much media available. Once you see it though.... I'm waiting til Christmas 2015. A co-worker has a Sony phone that records 4K video! -
For me and most guys, this is a hobby. If I have to do without for a while it is not the end of the world. For a lot of women this is their livelihood. Losing this income is going to really hurt them. I really feel bad about this, I know a couple of ladies personally who really count on this for extra income. They are not buying fur coats or Benzes, they are feeding their kids. How does C36 "help" them? Frankly it pisses me off that Conservative politicians can play games and exploit vulnerable women just for a few votes.

I feel Harper knows the next election he is out, or at least his party. Very much like Hitler in the movie Downfall. Hitler went into hiding near the end, so has Harper. Hitler pursued a scorched earth policy, Harper is doing the same. C36 may alienate some voters. His disgusting disrespect for democracy and other human beings goes on regardless. He will do what he wants and screw the consequences. No doubt there are high paying directorships at many Calgary oil companies waiting.

The intent of outing someone was to expose them as hypocrites. Bedford implied that she knew of politicians who dealt with escorts. If those same politicians support C36 there is a conflict of interest and hypocrisy as well.

That same girl has been advertising for years under a couple of names. Also advertised as an agency with the same pics. Nobody has ever brought back a good report so who knows? -

Before you buy any TV check out the 4K models. My friend got one yesterday. Wow. Brazzers in 4K. -
Yet the police press release is carefully worded to make it look like a huge success. Careful re-reading and fact checking reveals it to be a bunch of baloney. It is closer to patting themselves on the back than being honest. Everyone who travels for work knows that you can get huge discounts for booking lots of rooms on a regular basis. Cops spend a lot of money on travel junkets and know this. There is nothing wrong with a bunch of people getting together and booking as a group. The Winnipeg operation was run in tandem with an operation tracking down children missing from foster care or on probation. The BS artists in the Durham police carefully omitted that to make themselves look good. Stuff like this really makes me lose respect for the police. They have a tough job and most are decent people. It seems their management are the problem. There is good reason our own street level cops call Chief Clunis "Chief Clueless". He's a political flunky parachuted into a job he is unfit and incapable of performing. That is an insult to the several other candidates who would have done a far better job.

Why don't stores play those barking dog Christmas albums? Those are the greatest thing ever! Dogs barking out "Jingle Bells" woo hoo!!!!

Yeah I saw that...interesting but quite a downer. That girl only cares about how much money she can extract from her customers. She also has a lot of contempt for them, reading between the lines. I wish I had not read it to be honest. I try to be a nice guy but well I guess all those ladies are laughing at me behind my back. Could be a long time before I try pooning again.

^ I agree with cat. If you have a relationship with a provider odds are you know what they want, they know what you want, chances of a good out come are very high. There is no need for haggling over the details. Just call them up and invite them over. And as I said before, the true professionals have a lot invested in their business. Websites, clothes, pro photography, a large and loyal customer base. They are not going to ruin it by doing something stupid. I fear someone whose only investment is a five dollar ad on bp and is doing this on a whim or worse.

I do not think a serious long term SP like Zoe for example would be outing clients. Professionals have a "brand" that they create, market, and protect. They would lose everything if they were shown to be outing anyone. Professionals are easy to identify. Some come on here and you can see that they are thoughtful and intelligent people. Fear those who have nothing to lose.

Maybe sit on the sidelines and see how things go for awhile. IF, and that's a big if, I see anyone it will be someone I have a long term relationship with and that I know and trust. No way will I be seeing anyone new.

Canadian Police Focus on Women Coerced Into Sex Trade
cinelli replied to Escapefromstress's topic in In the news
Durham police interviewed 31 women and only 9 were under some form of control? That means 22...more than two thirds...were doing it on their own free will, and not being exploited. Why does the news writer not emphasize that fact? It disproves everything C36 stands for. -
C36 has passed in the House of Commons
cinelli replied to Kathryn Bardot's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I very strongly disagree. ANY form of communicating for the purpose will now be an offence. It does not matter whether it is on the internet or face to face. Your confusion stems from the old law. It used to be an offence to communicate in a "public place", and not an offence to communicate in a private place. C36 makes it illegal to communicate by any means, in any place, for the purpose of purchasing sexual services. -
Things that make sessions so great.

Not worrying about whether it is the greatest session ever or the wildest sex ever. Just relax and have a good time with no expectations. -
C36 has passed in the House of Commons
cinelli replied to Kathryn Bardot's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Sceptical, but will give her the benefit of the doubt. That is indeed ignorant, but typical of a politician to put campaigning ahead of everything else. That was a good turnout for a vote. MPs spend time in their ridings and doing other government work that takes them away from Parliament. It was a lot closer than I expected. It is a very contentious issue and I expected a lot more "Didn't Vote" from the non Tories. We have to remember that there a lot of other things going on besides C36. Obviously everyone here thinks it is very important but I have never heard a single person at my workplace mention it, none of my non-pooning friends have ever mentioned it, and it has barely been mentioned in the media. Disappointed that it passed even though it was inevitable. -
Gang rape warning issued for St. John's sex workers
cinelli replied to TashaTush's topic in In the news
This is disgusting. Sadly I heard about it elsewhere so it is not the first time it has happened. Nothing is more dangerous than a bunch of drunk guys, seriously. -
I get ladies to come to my house. They park in my driveway, knock on the door and walk in. I only see a couple of ladies, yeah I'm boring! One has her own set of keys and my neighbours think she is my sister. A tip for the ladies: I used to see one lady who always asked visitors to park in a specific spot in her apartment's parking lot. The client was to call for further directions from there. She explained it was actually HER spot. She could sit on her balcony and watch the spot. First, it allowed her to make sure the guy was actually there when he was asking for her apartment number. Second, it was a way for her to check the guy out before giving him her number. She had problems with one guy and he kept changing numbers and emails trying to set himself up.

It will be years before it goes before the Supreme Court. Two or three at least. C36 will be the law for some time, probably a few years, whether we all like it or not. Only possible way out is if a new Parliament rewrites it. But there are a lot of other things besides our hobby that the Government of the day needs to pay attention to. So don't count on that happening anytime soon either.
