As a general rule I avoid ads where a basic spell check is not done. Like the ASAIN ads.

It's back again. Can't imagine why someone from Hawaii "new to the business" would come all the way to Winnipeg to start working for the first time. Some might even suggest it was unlikely.

I am really impressed that someone had a raffle idea, even more impressed that punters went along with the idea. That shows how much trust there was between the SPs involved and the punters. All of which having been said, there was a hotel on Pembina Highway that had a bad rep for a while because of dodgy people using it to lure punters in for something other than what they were advertising. Independent travelling SPs will tend to use the ones nearer the airport. A few agencies use condos for their travellers. I am somewhat more wary of small budget hotels, which might be what the OP was thinking of.

Let's look at the new reality from an average new john's perspective. By average I mean a guy making, oh let's say 30K or less per year. While he could afford to call an agency now and then, he's new at this and scared of calling anyone advertising on Backpage, the first such online connection he learns about: what he's doing is illegal for HIM but not the lady he wants to call, so she can blackmail him if she comes to his house, or trap him if he goes to hers. From his perspective that is reality. He doesn't know about LYLA or another board. He doesn't know who he can trust or can't trust. Someone on the street he picks up in the dark, at least, doesn't know him. Lately there have been a lot more "Asian" ads. There cannot be that many agencies sending that many ladies to Winnipeg. They are being mimicked by people who figure someone can "pass" for Asian--long enough to get you and your wallet in the door, anyway. The EC post is gone. The second ad's pics might well be real but they don't say much to me other than BBW with brown skin. As for her being "Punjabi"... Well, I guess it's possible, but I'm not inclined to trust the word of anyone doing "car calls", and about 99 percent of the girls in Winnipeg who do that are ... not East Indians. Taking this ever so slightly off topic, I find it odd (and annoying) when TS escorts place their ads in the main escort section of BP rather than the TS escort section. Granted there may be a *few* people open to both on any given day (not like I've researched this) but I am willing to bet most guys are not, and the other section exists for a reason; I'm sure the TS escorts would not appreciate non-TS escort ads in their own section.
