You guys cannot fathom such behaviour because of this website. You are familiar with each other, proper etiquette and behaviour, and can appreciate both parties desire for discretion and safety. Not everyone is a "hobbyist". Not everyone keeps track of references or even knows such a world like this exists online. Some men just randomly will call up an escort to get laid. Despite giving clients the "benefit of the doubt" - Not everyone has admirable intentions or behaviour. I mean blackmail in the sense of threatening to out the woman if they do not do __________ acts etc. It might seem harsh to be suspicious but like I said, not everyone has good intentions. And @ The thread for questioning "legitimacy" - Why? Of course I am "looking into" this in seriousness and asking questions. Why else would someone make an account and actually inquire about serious issues in this industry? Even if I wasn't serious and I changed my mind about doing this - What would that matter? It means I would have researched, found out this wasn't for me, and made the right decision for me. The hostility is quite irritating and unnecessary.

I was reading a PDF file from Power Ottawa June 24th, 2011 The Toolkit: Ottawa area sex workers speak out and now I have a question about incalls that was brought up in that PDF. It mentioned how escorts will get clients that show up at their HOTEL incall for an appointment, and during the appointment they will threaten to "out them" and call the police and tell them that the escort is working from a hotel room and is then "running a bawdy house". The escort gets essentially blackmailed and is told to do what the client demands or else he will tell on her. WHAT would you do in that situation if you are in a hotel and are supposed to be there for a day or two and they threaten to rat you out? If they call the police and tell them what you are doing - do you lie? do you pretend you have no idea what they're talking about? How OFTEN are independent escorts working from a motel / hotel get harassed if they are discreet? Thanks.

I just wanted to add, at the 2-3 people that addressed my comment about safe/quality services and providers in my area: I meant no disrespect to anyone or their ability to provide services,I had used the word clean in the context of being naive or more conservative (ie. always using a condom in every way available). I am not willing to just throw myself out there and offer Bjs with no protection just because clients would prefer it that way because it "feels better". Hence my thinking it is more "conservative". I wouldn't want to offer something like a PSE that many (younger) clients would be looking for.

I literally have read and re-read entire blogs written by escorts for escorts. And I still have questions =/ Deciding to become an escort is a very big decision, and I know it shouldn't be taken lightly. I find it is difficult to find current information / answers to questions, and there is a lot of vague answers and misinformation. Canadian laws are very different from the USA when it comes to escorting...and I want to make sure I have ALL of the information before making a decision. Q's about INCALLS: Should one ONLY do Incalls at a hotel if they have reviews / some regulars? I understand it is hard to get clients to visit you if you have 0 reviews because you are new. Is working out of a hotel worth the risk of being caught, exposed by a potential angry client or by a rival sp in the area, etc? I don't do drugs / I rarely drink / I don't smoke / I have no habits to support. I am educated, intelligent, and if I went through with this decision - I would only want to offer SAFE services, EVER. I know a lot about the misconceptions and myths about this industry - but I am unsure if I could market my "clean" ways in such an industry that is rampant with competition to do "unsafe" acts for cheap prices.
