Not the funniest on earth but its what I came across in my feed this morning. Skip to 00:30 for the main event.

I use NordVPN and its amazing. Never once had an issue and I've been using them a long time. @asuran is right it has a LOT of servers all over the world so if u want access to something not available here (often happens with youtube) or if you want a news stream or see whats trending in another country, its great. The discount codes you get from youtube are amazing. If u sign up for 3 years it ends up being less than 3$ a month! No they dont sponsor me.lol Im just an extremely happy customer. Oh and it works for up to 6 devices which is invaluable for people like me with more than one cell phone and more that 1 homes.

There seems to be skin findings with Covid 19 and conveniently, it seems to be present in some otherwise asymptomatic cases! Watch this video to know what to look for. If you see this, do not go forward with the appointment and tell the person to get tested. Except in the first case where it could just be the person has had it their whole life. An even better idea is to ask the person to watch the video. If you are an Ottawa resident or somewhere that offers testing to everyone, why not get tested a few days prior to seeing the lady to keep her and everyone she comes in contact with, safe. This in no way means that all asymptomatic Covid carriers have these findings, it doesn't. Its just that IF you see this, its an indication. Personally, I am only allowing covid-respecting sessions. However, if you are going to play the old fashioned way, its best to know as much as possible. Plus... as I said, the Dr. is super hot lol

As many of you know, lyla recently held a contest where hobbyists nominate providers who they admire and who's posts have impacted them. (which was an incredibly successful campaign and made a great impact on more than just the winners) Lyla then tweeted asking for ideas on what the next one should be and I piped up with " Well how bout the opposite contest? Only issue I see is hurt feelings perhaps votes can B anon? I think our boys desrv som lov2. I think a contest like this will serve to help undo a lot of the stigma & stereotypes of what clients are like. So much has been done&still is for the SW side of things but not much for the clients &u end up w/things like C36 as a result I think the reason 4voting should be tweeted out but the name remain anon & sent by DM or PM to lyla. Theme song can be 'Lets Hear It For The Boys' or 'Its raining Men' lol although thats not fair to female and non binary hobbyists but hey its a generalization of the vast majority on the forum Idk just ideas...." Myself, Im from another city so when I came to Ottawa to work, I went with an agency and heard about lyla from them, though it was called cerb back then. If not from them though, I wouldve heard of it through the gents. Hey Selena, someone may have already done this but just in case, Ill do it too. I know Lyd already linked it for u but these days knowing basic tech is important to your independence so Ill give u a few tools real quick. Theres 2 ways to give someone your twitter link. - One is the way most have here, to copy/paste the URL. (URL simply means the exact web address.) So when you are signed in to twitter, go to your profile page. U can do this 2 ways. Click on either your avatar (that means your little profile pic. My avatar is to the top left of this msg. (A long haired girl with a star for a head). Or on the left you will find the word 'Profile'. Both will lead you to your profile page. - Take your mouse up to the URL (Web address) and right click on it You should see the option 'Copy' (if you dont, click on 'Select all', then again for copy) - Then all u gotta do is go to where you want to paste it, right click again and left click on paste and it will appear. You can do that with anything. you want to keep. If using a phone, u just press n hold your finger over it. Another far easier way is to just tell people what your handle is on there with the @ sign in front of it. So it seems like yours would be @SelenaDiamond2 Another great piece of advice I can give you is a saying "GIB" it stands for 'Google it bitch' lol Google is amazing and so is youtube. Just go on google and ask your question and google will tell u how to do stuff. If its something where a visual will help go to www.youtube.com and type in 'How to ....; and you'll find plenty of videos showing u step by step what to do and even some problems u may encounter and how to get out of it. This is true not only for computer stuff but anything. Wanna remove tarnish from jewelry? Its there, wanna fix a broken PS4 controller, its there, need a make up tutorial... good god its there! lol Google and youtube have saved me so many times! And Im not too bad with tech. I highly recommend taking some time to learn as much as possible as an independent SP. This is how we market ourselves right, so the more you can do yourself, the more you get yourself out there and the less u have to pay anyone. And we all know how hard it is to find good help when so many arent SP friendly and the ones that are know it and take advantage of us. I've had zero formal training with computers but when I started I built my own site and any time I need to change anything instead of texting and waiting to have it fixed and paying, i just go in and fix it. For photos, instead of paying someone to remove my face and tattoos and knowing someone will have the exact same pix but with my face and tats on there... im the only one who ever had it and I destroy the originals when Im done. Even when I get a photog, I insist on my own memory card. It saves me money and the piece of mind is invaluable. Then when the pandemic hit I needed to find a new revenue stream. I looked at options like Only Fans and found it a total rip off. So instead I did some research, chose and downloaded a video editing program and I now have my own porn site. Didnt cost me a single cent at a time that i would NOT have gambled money not knowing if itd be cost effective. I just picked stuff up along the way and its never too late to start. A friend of mine who is also an SP was very intimidated by tech when I met her. I taught her the copy/paste thing too. She didnt have a website but knew how important it was to business. Issue was, she had the same story Ive heard way too many times. She put something like 1000$ down and the person just dicked around and screwed her over. I encouraged her to just go on weebly, wix, squarespace or godaddy to build her own website. Basically if you can play a game on your phone, u can build a basic website. She said she never tried a phone game so I offered to build it for her at a far more reasonable price.And now she maintains her own site and I very rarely get so much as a question. Its amazing watching her blossom in independence and see the little things she creates online. It sounds dumb but u just have to believe in yourself. It seems SO intimidating at first. But u dont have to know how to fix a computer to use one. Its just that most find it daunting and also arent aware that there is free education out there. I really hope this helps you. Remember GIT when ever u are stuck or wondering something. These things will become second nature as u go along and youll learn more n more. I hope nothing here sounded condescending. Great minds think alike @roamingguy ! I was going to nominate her for coming up with the #LovedByLyla Contest (of which I was one of the winners along with @Sasha May & @Janebondage ) This was an extremely thoughtful content as it served in several ways. Bring the lady clout, recognition, exposure etc, obviously the cash prize and a whole bunch of compliments to her personality and love, letting her know she makes a difference in people's lives. And every1 nominated got that, the only dif between those who were nominated and the ones who won was the money. I spoke to a few SWs who were nominated and it really made us feel good hearing all this stuff. I think this was an amazing idea in terms of thoughtfulness but I also think it was a great idea in terms of marketing Lyla.ch to new potential members and to attract old ones who stopped coming, back. This thing blew up on twitter! So I think @lydiahardwood should win Member of the Month because this month, she really brought her game and served our community very well, in several ways!

Ya when i realized votes didnt matter more than once, I took to twitter and told people to stop voting for me and to try to think of someone who wasnt yet nominated so they could have a shot. I didnt realize we could nominate girls too or I def would have. Im too used to the anti shill rules and such. With old mod, I had asked and answered my own question saying i saw an MA as a client, not in a duo and asked if i could do a reco or would that open a can of worms of friends voting for friends and cliques eventually filling the board with reciprocal favors and got a note back 'exactly, sorry and glad you understand' lol So I just assumed the same applied here and didnt get back in time. I want to thank you Lidia, for coming up with this. Its not just the money its the exposure, recognition, esteem boost and repeated doses of love that counts too and it couldnt have come at a better time for all aspects. In line with what others are saying, karma applies to this business perfectly. This is one of the few businesses where clients do the marketing for you. That’s the beauty of these boards. Ppl like that get exposed for what they are. In my experience, the gents I know don’t like cattiness or cruelty. It turns them off. In terms of the other things u mentioned, they get reported. And sure they can try to reinvent themselves over n over but the gents are always there to expose their former identity and the misdeeds behind them. So I wouldn’t waste energy worrying about it. Maybe society at large rats us all with the same brush, just as they do the clientele and while that’s unfair it doesn’t truly effect us cuz we operate discretely anyhow. Just concentrate on your biz, on being a positive member of the community, find solidarity with like minded colleagues and let those who choose to live in negativity reap what they sow & hope they grow one day. Guys aren’t stupid, they remember high school and they know what ‘mean girls’ are like. They see through it. For years I just kept my head sown &did my own thing bcuz I was worried about precisely the things u described. Problem was I hadn’t no duo partners. But just as the gents check out a girls rep among others as well as her own behaviour on the boards or in social media, I learned who I did and didn’t want to be associated with &who to be around. In every business u have that 1 group u now, the few who screw it up for the many. It’s just an unfortunate part of it.
