Merry Christmas Everyone!!! This being Christmas Day, two movies came to mind that are in my all time favorite list, that I cant believe I forgot to list here!!!! ELF is an eye-wateringly hilarious Christmas comedy . And one simply called Santa Claus.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkabahn (terrible movie, great book)

Just saw The Conjuring II and um... yup its up there on my list too! Although it did get a little silly a few times, it doesn't minimize how great it is. NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!!! Warning: Do not keep popcorn on lap as it will end up everywhere but in the bowl! I ended up like Garfield when Nermal sneaks up on him during a nap, several times. Jump-out-of-your-skin-o-licious!

Hi! I'll be available in Ottawa from the late-afternoon of Wed (21st) until 11am on Friday (23rd). I will be back the following Wed-Fri/Sat. One genre there is no shortage of BAD movies is the Holiday Movie genre. I started a thread for great ones and I'm going to try to revive this one with the bad ones. lol Before I go on, Id like to clarify something I said in my last post. I did not start the Great Spooky Movie thread. When I said 'my' I meant, one of the threads I contribute to regularly. Not meaning I started the thread, as with this one or the great holiday movie list. Ok for the first Holiday contribution I thought Id simply say ANYTHING WITH CHEVY CHASE IN IT!!! lol But that's too vague so I will start this off with the craptastic; 'Christmas With the Cranks' Please feel free to post any horrible movie. I'm just offering this theme to stimulate postings in my dying thread. Guys, my WHOLE EGO is wrapped up in this thread! Don't let it die! (I am of course joking...kinda)

Just saw The Conjuring and it was fantastically terrifying! If you love super-natural themed horror, this is a great one for you. It felt good to see a great horror film recently as Ive been plagued by epic fails in this genre imo. Odd title though, as nothing actually gets conjured. But whatever, its an amazing haunted house/possession/ghost story. And its allegedly a true story brought to you by famed paranormal investigator couple, The Warrens. Best known for helping with (and still in possession of) the infamous Annabelle doll. There is a movie for this story as well, simply called Annabelle which I have not yet seen. Anyone who can offer a critique SANS-SPOILER would be appreciated. :-)

RogueBMW: Yes!!! The Santa Claus is on my favorites list for sure! Castle: Nightmare Before xmas is def also on that faves list and yes I watch it for Halloween too! stillopendoors: The original A Christmas Carol HELL YES! nsguy76: Although I do enjoy the version where they added colour as well. I'll take it any way it comes. Although impo, I find the coloured version easier on my eyes and I can also make out more of the details such as facial expression. But hey to each their own. :-) Speaking of good ole scrooge you will find some of that in the ones Id like to add (and I will keep adding). Scrooged (80s I believe, with Bill Murray as the millionaire jerk) Bad Santa (I adore dark humor!) Badder Santa is even better, its the same movie, they just added some great scenes that were removed from the original screen version No list would be complete without How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the original cartoon, not Jim Carrey in a suit that scares the crap out of most kids and makes a mockery of the whole thing. Id also like to add the incredible One Magic Christmas which I would highly recommend to anyone but esp to those who may be feeling down this year. Just a beautiful story. There's more but I still want others to have a chance. Oh and there's nothing wrong with repetition. I think 'seconding' a movie, helps those who are considering watching it, all the more reason to check it out. :-)
