  1. Thanks for the post Kilt Boy. I was kind of thinking this as well. As much as i love going to the strip clubs, I was thinking that the chances of getting Covid-19 is fairly high if I go to the strip clubs. I have had two vaccines but i was reading that it is still possible to get Covid-19 as 20% to 25% of the cases are with people who are double vaccinated. For example there were 75 people in Ottawa that had Covid-19 on Saturday Sept. 11th so that means that between 15 and 19 people still got it even though they were double vaccinated. I would definately wear my mask in the Champagne room but covid-19 is airborne (and the delta variant is more contagious) so while I am drinking my beer, i could get it while my mask is off. I kind of figured that the dancers would all have had covid-19 and are probably passing it on to people. I don't think 5 days is enough to be over covid-19, i think 14 days is what the experts have been saying is the required time. Maybe you should get tested, just in case, so you know and you can protect your friends and family, if you get it.
  2. Thanks for the information to everyone who posted. What are the rules with vaccine passports? Quebec has some sort of vaccine passport that came into place on September 1? It is my understanding that they do not want non vaccinated people to go to most places in Quebec but what about residents of Ontario who have been vaccinated twice? What about if we have a mix of vaccines i.e. - Pfizer and Moderna? Do they still count or do they have to be the same type?
  3. Have the champagne rooms opened at Bare Fax yet? Do the dancers dance with masks in the champagne room and are the dances there back to where it was before covid-19?
  4. That seems pretty good, because there is no social distancing in the champagne room. I am assuming that the dances in the champagne room are the same as before covid-19. What about at the stage? Do you have to wear a mask there because if every seat is taken, you will be only a couple feet away from the next person.
  5. Are they allowing dances in the champagne rooms yet? Is it back to normal with these dances, like before the pandemic?
  6. Ok, that is bad news. I have a feeling that things are probably going to be closed until May 2021. We are just getting into flu season and things are probably going to get worse before they get better.
  7. I don't know about that. I suppose if the price dropped alot but if it is the same price as before the crisis, i would wait. Buying distressed assets at bargain prices are another story.
  8. Anybody know whether Pigales is open or have they been shutdown?
  9. Maybe during regular times but these are anything but regular times. A person would have to be nuts to open a restaurant, bar, hotel, retail business during the covid-19 pandemic. I think times are changing too for retail stores and restaurants. If you have gone to any malls recently there are retail bankrupcies all over the place. I think those valuations are a bit steep because there seems to be a shift to buying things online. Companies like Amazon are kicking ass and causing all of these bankruptcies.
  10. Good move by them because, i am sure their rent still needs to be paid. They may have to lower their prices per beer as they will have no entertainment other than sports on TV. They will also have to remove their cover charge too.
  11. I think this was a miscalculation by the owner. He should have raised the cover price a few dollars and then add an extra dollar to the price of beer. People don't notice small increases so the trick is to get people in the door. Anyways, the owner may not realize that the $12 cover charge is dissuading people from attending his bar until things return to normal after a vaccine for covid-19 is found, manufactured and distributed. The owner has no analytics to look at and compare the number of customers during covid-19.
  12. I think they picked on Strip Clubs because it is an easy target. I hope the government rules don't bankrupt any more strip clubs.
  13. If the governments were serious about stopping covid-19 transmission they would clamp down on gyms and force people to wear masks. Most people at the gym don't use masks, during exercise or walking around. Its like they think they are immune because if they pretend than covid-19 does not exist, then they will not get it.
  14. Ok, thanks for the info. I do like to mention the numbers after every song if i don't know the girl. If you are a regular, at the bar, you do you have power as the manager/staff may recognize you. I liked the contact dances, not sure i am that crazy about paying $20/dance and have the dancer 6 feet away from me.
  15. How much do they charge for dances in the champagne room?
