  1. Which hobbyist is willing to have cbc interview them as a good example?
  2. Is she still allowed to be an escort, run agencies, and collect money from now on with impunity?
  3. It might not be that bad. I get the feeling Mackay may be thinking of Nordic Model for street workers and New Zealand model for everyone else. He can't say he supports anything but the Nordic Model because Joy Smith will jump all over him. I'll wait til the bill is tabled and take it from there.
  4. This was a cross Canada phone in radio show regarding what the government should do about the sex trade industry. I listened to half of it and most people were in favour of decriminalizing or legalizing prostitution. You can listen to it here. This program gave me hope. I'm listening to it again now. The host seems pro sex worker. http://640toronto.com/syn/123/308/canada-talks-national And there's a poll too! So far decriminalizing option is winning!

  6. Summer, I don't know if this ethical but, have someone you know who's in favour of The Nordic Model email Peter Mackay tellung him that they endorse it and hope the government passes it as quickly as possible. If they get a personal response (other than a canned one) then you'll know there is a bias. I was going to suggest someone - anyone - send that email but it really should be a Nordic supporter so that the government can't say we're playing games with them
  7. Regarding Winnipeg: The girls put on good shows and we have great feauture dancers who come to town. The local features are good too. Each girl puts on a twenty minute stage show and will hopefully get tips. Minimum tip is five dollars, coins (loonies and toonies) are not allowed on stage. Some of the girls sell tickets. Not sure how that works. Solid Gold: private dances are $30. No touching, but you get to sit up close to the dancer. She dances in a pit and you sit outside the pit. The club doesn't start going until at least 9:00 PM though, so if you have to work the next day you're in trouble. Features are usually on at ten. Teasers: private dances are $40. On Monday nights they cost $25. No touching, and you're not as close to the dancer. The mini stage consists of a pole on a small elevated flight of circular rings. The dance you get depends on the dancer. Some girls will use the pole more than others. No touching in either club. Each club has their good and bad points. Maybe I should write a thread about it.
  8. Not that I know of. A dancer told me that some were being done at 3D but she is a new dancer and I seriously doubt that's true.
  9. This is actually old news, I read it a couple weeks ago. I think the Conservatives would roast Justin Trudeau over the coals if he argued in favour of legalization or against the Nordic Model. No party wants to be known as the prostitution party (I got that from an article by Neil MacDonald). This is one of the most important topics of 2014, and for The Liberals to not say anything about it IS avoiding a hot topic.
  10. Let's assume the government either does nothing or implements the Nordic Model (I wonder if she's blonde). From my understanding, procuring for the purposes of prostitution is still illegal. If that's true then how could you open a brothel? You wouldn't be able to hire anyone! Nevada hires their brothel workers as independent contractors. With careful wording, I guess hiring could be done. Otherwise an undercover officer could go for an interview and arrest them for procuring.
  11. So it's a bad idea to schedule an appointment to my apartment even though it is in a discrete location even witha reputable lady - I have one in mind. I refuse to do incalls because they are technically illegal and I really don't want to get busted - it would ruin everything. How about this: I schedule an appointmenr at a hotel, and for the next apointment she can come to my place if I trust her. I don't want the additional expense of a hotel because it would drive up the cost of this.
  12. I've read this article and Mr. Swan's letter to Peter Mackay. It seems like Andrew is only concerned about street prostitution. In his letter he leaves out the part of the SCC decision referring to bawdy houses.
  13. Thanks you guys. I feel the warm vibes already.
  14. Hello Everyone, I'm Cloud and I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I used to post on terb around the early 00s and I was a respected member. Well, life happened but I'm ready to play again. Besides, the recent SCC ruling and fallout has me concerned so I've been logging on everyday looking at the news and legal sections. I don't know if I'll become a regular poster. Winnipeg is done a huge disservice by not having a reputable agency in town. You guys seems like a nice bunch. Sincerely, Cloud
