  1. Well done GM11. A milestone for sure. It was nice to have met you a while back at the very first social that I ever went to.
  2. Well, after throwing and stacking wood for a good part of the day I am now making pickles. One batch bottled and one more yet to do, and that will be the pickle supply for the year. Funny thing is that I don't even like pickles, but lots of others do. :) Then a long hot soak and I'll start to think about wins and losses in the NFL tomorrow. It was a good day.
  3. T'is the season. Winter wood was just delivered so 7 cords ready for the basement. I'll putter at that over the next few days. :) Love that job, especially once its in and stacked and knowing that my winter heat is all paid for and its WAY the frig warmer than any oil furnace too! It's shorts weather all year round in my house!
  4. EASY one. :) Atlantic! Thunderstorm or snowstorm?
  5. Hi All. I'm sending thoughts from afar to everyone that is getting to the social this evening. I know that it will be a good time. Let's see - virtual drink to all the ladies and I'm sure that Lee and mistert will give out non-virtual hugs and kisses for me. Have fun!!! MN2
  6. Happy birthday Someguy. I hope that you have a GREAT day!
  7. I like Midnight-Massage because she always seems so upbeat and positive. I have certainly not been that way of late and she tends to calm me down and that's a pretty nice thing! I've also been fortunate enough to meet her a couple of times and that has been a privilege. She is supportive I know of so many members on this board!
  8. Terri Jean Bedford has caused a stir and issued a threat as may be seen HERE, and isn`t it of interest that the hearings are back on the news again. I sincerely and respectfully disagree with the comments that were written about that article arguing that her action is wrong and unprofessional and unethical. I gave this opinion once before when the topic was in the news and the silence was understandably deafening, but I shall repeat it. IF someone truly believes that Bill C-36 will cause physical harm and or death to even one sex worker, then I argue that taking whatever legal action is required to prevent that from happening is not only acceptable but also a responsibility. If that includes naming a client then so be it. If I threatened a sex worker with physical harm then the fact that I had been a paying client should NOT give me immunity. Threatening to release the names of clients who are planning an action that will kill women is not enough. Doing it after the bill is passed is irresponsible. I argue that if her statements are true then the information should be released immediately to the press before the law is passed and then let the press do the job that they have thus far chosen not to do. Their are ways to do it. In 1974 Deep Throat, whoever he is is unknown to this day, along with press investigation brought down a presidency. I do believe that the hypocrisy of some of these government members, NOT their use of legal sex workers, could cause this government to fall, and this bill along with it. I am writing a totally politically incorrect comment that most will disagree with. I know that. There is no way that any sex worker or perhaps any client should publicly agree with this. All I ask is that all sex workers ask themselves where does client privilege stop and protecting your own life and lives of fellow sex workers begin. Sorry if I made anyone feel uncomfortable. I don`t think that this is just a game if lives are on the line. MN2 (who apparently is not such a nice guy.)
  9. I like Angela for her being so welcoming to me back when she was organizing and I attended my first Cerb socials. The odd little PM that she sends is always a little pick me up!
  10. - Sitting around a bonfire. - Friends - Good memories - Looking ahead. - Chocolate cake with chocolate icing!
  11. Well done Pete! I enjoy reading what you post.
  12. TOUGH question. But, and I have thought about this a LOT, I am content to be single. Like a few others who have written, I lost my wife and truthfully would give the world to have her back beside me. I guess I just believe that I was very lucky and had my soul mate. Yes, I get lonely sometimes, but have also learned to appreciate alone time, and aloneness. However, it is terribly freeing to be able to do what I want, when I want, without having to confirm schedules or coordinate with someone else. Still feel guilt about that though. I REALLY miss sleeping beside someone. That is a biggie. It's been a very long time.
  13. Nothing fancy, but my kind of meal. Hot roast beef sandwich with fries and tomato from my garden on the side. I don't eat desserts.
  14. The role of Senate hearings may appear to be a further investigation into "facts" of the matter however their primary role is in looking at wording and grammar and legal/parliamentary language of the bill. In THEORY the Senate has the power to defeat a bill but in reality it cannot happen as it would cause a constitutional crisis as these are unelected officials. I expect that the hearings will be a farce, as were the hearings at the Justice Committee. It is clear that logic and sound argument will be ignored and the people that deliver the sex workers message will continue to be ignored and ridiculed. This is now in the hands of the political system. The ONLY way that this bill can be tossed out is for witnesses to throw away their logic and sound studies and use their time to call out the evangelicals and the Tory puppets to a degree that it will force news and media to look at this legislation. The public has no idea of the implications of this legislation. Anti Bill C-36 witnesses should use shock value or boycott the hearings entirely, because to appear with their message only empowers government to say that they have in fact listened and gives Conservatives validity. My two cents worth.
  15. I have always been surprised, very pleasantly surprised by how often when seeing one lady she will say,"Oh - You REALLY should see ********. You would really like her." My experience is that the women here are quite supportive of each other. When I do contact someone new, I will suggest a couple of ladies that I have met that I would use as a reference and then say that I have not asked them yet for permission. Very rarely do they ask me to get permission. So perhaps they contact the ladies anyway or maybe the screening doesn't always take place. One aspect of this discussion that has not been raised, and I foresee becoming critical in the very near future, is a client asking for references FOR a potential provider. That can be a thread on its own.
  16. Joyeux Noel mistert. No, wait, that's not right. How about bonne fete. :) It's been great to have met you at several socials and though I will not be at the next one, then perhaps another in the future. Have yourself a great day. Happy Birthday. MN2
  17. It's the first NFL Sunday and my usual routine is underway. I'm checking which games are on which channels and at what times. I'm prepping my Proline bets, big better that I am, $2 here and $2 there. My tough call is finalizing my fantasy football lineup. Cam Newton is my #1 starter but his cracked ribs and questionable status will cause me to take him out in favor of my very very second string Andy Dalton. Even if Newton plays they will keep him in the pocket and there will go his strength. Reggie Wayne was my gut pick in the draft as a secondary receiver, and my newborn grandson gave me a smile when I mentioned Reggie Bush so he's on my team.:) Have a great football Sunday everyone. Go Miami.:)
  18. Best wishes for a very Happy Birthday! Have a great day and evening. MN2
  19. Miss Savannah Lane I recently met Miss Lane in Moncton on my return home from an extensive trip and it was a delightful way to bring my vacation to an end. She made it very easy to make arrangements about the when and where and a few communications beforehand helped ease my nerves, which I ALWAYS have when I meet a new lady. She had a lovely suite in an easy to access area of Moncton and upon my knock on the door it was opened immediately for me to meet her wearing a delightful summery dress. A beautiful smile and a welcoming hug made me feel instantly comfortable. We sat and chatted for a bit in the living room area while enjoying a glass of wine and nibbling on some cheese and grapes, and the conversation covered multiple topics that moved from one to another. She is very articulate and with me being on the shy side she made it very easy for me to converse and we both learned a lot about each other. Somehow the conversation transitioned into some remarkable intimate time and that is all I shall say about that because I always keep those times private. Oh, that lovely summery dress was ALL that she had on. If I had realized that we may not have talked so much. :) I am really happy to have met Savannah and am so glad that her travel schedule coincided with my own. She is yet another remarkable lady that I would recommend that any gentlemen meet if you have the opportunity. Thank you Savannah for meeting me. It was indeed my pleasure. MN2
  20. Here we are. The first game is this evening and as with every season every team right now is undefeated and full of optimism. I became a Seahawk fan a couple of years ago and I shall keep my allegiance with them. I also have a weighted fantasy football team with a lot of hopes pinned on Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush and the Lions are my second favorite team. Anyone except SF, GB and mostly Tom Brady and the Pats. Let the games begin. :)
  21. For those who have today as a holiday, enjoy a pleasant day with family and friends.
  22. - Crossing the bridge to come back home. - Picking flowers for bouquets in the house. - The picture or video of the day of my new grandson. - Friends dropping in. - Drafting what I think us a GREAT fantasy football team.
  23. Bill C-36 is many things. It is an imposition by government of their morality agenda. It criminalizes sexual behavior between consenting adults. As we pause to celebrate Labor Day, we see that what Bill C-36 really is however is the antithesis of what we are choosing to celebrate on Monday. Many sex workers choose this work. It is real work and as with any other paid employee they deserve legal protection under the law. They should have the right to work in a safe work environment. They should have the right to personal safety. They should have the right to work together. They should have the right to advertise freely and openly. Despite the ruling of the Supreme Court of Canada whose unanimous decision was based on providing for the safety of sex workers, all of these rights are being withheld and removed by this government. This segment of Canada's work force is being consciously and with forethought and I argue even with malice, sacrificed at the whim of a minority group who have put their moral agenda ahead of the lives of women. On this Labor Day when you hear Members of Parliament applaud our Canadian landscape, recognize that not all Canadians have cause to celebrate this day.
  24. Congratulations Fortunateone on the 3000 post mark! I always enjoy reading your opinions and have appreciated the many links to news stories that you have posted for us in the last few months. Keep it up. MN2
