  1. Oh dear. This makes me think of what to me now is a rather funny story but originally, not so much! I was married to the same woman for almost 40 years and luckily as the years went by sex became better and better all the time. I know,I know,I was really lucky! Anyway, it got to the point where I could make her orgasm fast, like really fast, and stronger and stronger all the time. Well, I figured that I had it all worked out, nothing to this, but it sure was fun. Then, after she was was gone and I saw my first few ladies on Cerb I walked into those encounters thinking that well, maybe I wasn't God's gift to women, but at least that, "OK she's going to have a REALLY good time." Like wow, really confident. Ah, nope. Not the case. Ain't true. Wasn't true. And sure as hell still isn't true! It was and still is the fact that what worked for my wife was not the same as what works for someone else. I was actually pretty depressed about it at first. Now I am sort of a slow learner I guess because it took me a while to figure this little fact out. Every woman is different. They will each have their own little buttons here, or places there,or touches around, or kisses in a certain way that is what works for them individually. So I guess the answer is that it comes with personal experience between two individuals. But now I just accept that it is really fun to practice and learn, and sometimes I even get it right!
  2. It's a steady rain here today so this morning I spent quite a while in my greenhouse. Not a plant left out there because they are all planted outside but it was bright enough and warm and the sound of the rain on the top was a great backdrop for reading. I'm on Book two of the Outlander series. This afternoon I am watching World Cup soccer and trying to learn the game. I have everything ready to cook myself a pot roast for supper. A VERY lazy day for me but I'm really not sure I like lazy too much.
  3. I have never really been a big fan of football (soccer), but have watched bits and pieces of tournaments at times in the Olympic games and at the last World Cup in South Africa. I have watched most of the games thus far and each game I become more impressed and more interested. As for favorites, since I really have no prior knowledge I have for the most part been hoping for the underdogs, so I thoroughly enjoyed the victory by the Netherlands over Spain and then yesterdays win of Costa Rica over Uruguay. Mexico got off to a good start with a win and I may choose them as my sentimental favorite. I have a question for knowledgeable fans. It has to do with the obvious faking of injury, taking dives and that sort of thing. It has happened multiple times in every game that I have seen. Is that considered to be truly a valid strategic part of the game? I would be pretty embarrassed if it were me putting on acts such as these or even if a teammate did so especially as each player is representing his country. Just a curiosity for me. Back to the game........
  4. Ah, if those names brought up nostalgic memories then you are also a long time fan. :) I had not realized that there was such major work being done on the stadium and in the park, so it appears as if you are going to have a great venue. However for me it's still, "Go Als.)
  5. Thanks RG for sharing that link to the article entitled, "Lies, damned lies and sex work statistics," by Ms. Maggie McNeill Compare her premise with the words of Mr. Peter MacKay. This is a direct quote from the debate in the house on Bill 63 on Wednesday, June 11, as documented in Hansard. "We know that 75% to 80% of those involved in prostitution are women. As I mentioned earlier, many come from the most marginalized groups of society and share common vulnerabilities, such as childhood abuse, neglect, poverty, and addictions, and they lack the education and skills necessary to exit prostitution. Research indicates as well that a large number of those who provide sexual services entered prostitution when they were mere children, and that they experienced sexual abuse prior to their first prostitution experience. Furthermore, aboriginal women and girls are disproportionately represented among those who are exploited through prostitution. There is simply no getting away from the fact that prostitution is an extremely dangerous activity. Studies before the courts in the Bedford case have shown that prostitution is multi-traumatic. It regularly involves physical violence, sexual violence, forceable confinement, and drugs, and involvement in prostitution often causes post-traumatic stress disorder, which can result in permanent harm." It is so unfortunate that a man of his position has the platform to spout this without having to justify it, table the statistical reports, answer a question or be accountable. Should I use the word lie?
  6. I am SO with you on this. If I could do ALL my shopping online I would. Except, at this time of year stores and malls are great places for watching pretty women in skirts and shorts.
  7. I am a huge sports fan and for me, THE sport is football. The CFL preseason has started and the first league game is being held on June 26th. As always I am excited about the kick-off to the season but more so this year because of the return of Ottawa to the league. A couple of years ago I spent a few days in Ottawa and while biking around the Rideau Canal I quite unexpectedly came upon Lansdowne Park. The mere sight brought back so many memories - Russ Jackson, Ronnie Stewart, Whit Tucker and all of those incredible games against Ron Lancaster and his Roughriders. In three of the last four seasons Moncton has hosted a CFL game, sold them all out and I was at them all. There is renewed talk of an Atlantic team to be based out of Halifax or Moncton and if and when they do put that together then I will be in line to be the first season ticket holder. This morning I looked at the Ottawa home schedule, thinking of a multi purpose visit of course, and when I selected the buy ticket option I was terribly impressed with the number of tickets that are already sold for this seasons games. My reaction is easy. "Good for you Ottawa." Many of us on the East coast are very jealous that your team is able to return while we still wait. There are so many Cerb members from Ottawa and surrounding vicinity that I write this hoping that all of you will support the Redblacks and the CFL overall. It is an iconic Canadian tradition. You have a chance now to build your own memories. Congratulations on having your team back this year. I am quite confident that I shall see you at a game this season and if I book two tickets I would love to have someone accompany me. :)
  8. Thanks Pete. Your contributions are much appreciated!
  9. Congrats RG. For this you get........ Then you can trade it for......... And then take some of your favorite ladies fishing. :) Well done and well deserved RG!
  10. Yet another Supreme Court decision has gone against the Harper government. I still believe vindictiveness vs the court is largely responsible for this new bill that is the topic of this thread. Today's decision will only make the Conservatives dig in harder on this. They broke no contrary opinions. :(
  11. Well, first of all the initial question is a moot point because this is not the Nordic model. It is way way worse and for sex workers as well as clients. One can always change their minds, as I have done in the past, but I believe that I have decided upon a course of action. Whether it is in fact practical will be determined by what this new proposed law REALLY means, and what the police do with it. My rationale for what I am thinking is multifaceted but primarily two fold. First, as much as I respect what many have said about the police not doing serious enforcement, and not having budgets to do so, in my situation I do not believe that to be the case. In a larger city such as Ottawa then I probably would agree with that. I am in PEI however, a very small place with a very conservative population. ( I don't mean politically). Under direction of Charlottetown city council I could see the city police being directed to take action. It would make a lot of people VERY pleased to see that PEI is indeed upholding its, values`, and is nothing but a family vacation spot. Whereas we are such a small market and there are very few women that travel in here, it would be nothing for a single officer to track her from our little airport and from there get to her clients. I`m not a cop and I am sure that I could do that simply by following the advertised dates of availability.` The second factor in my tentative decision is based on the advertising provisions which are really yet to be clarified. Mr MacKay was very clear at his press conference that he considers the internet to be a public space and therefore will be inaccessible for advertising. IF, and that may be a big if, he is correct, then really it will be impossible to know when a lady is planning a trip and even then illegal for both of us ìf we communicate. I honestly do not accept that new code words or offers of free sex are going to hold water in a court room. Finally, I went about fifteen months between Cerb dates, so for me celibacy is a viable, though not preferred, option. :( After all of that preamble what I am thinking is a variety of things. First, any encounters I may have will not happen on PEI. If ANY of what I said above is true then PEI will neither be a safe place to be a client nor a safe place to be an SP, in a legal sense. Secondly, because of the communication ban, even presuming that advertising is allowed, it would be impossible for me to clarify ahead of time with someone that I don`t know and who does not know me what my preferences are, what her preferences are, and so on. Therefore it would be walking into a situation blind which is not something that I would enjoy and I`m guessing that the SP would not enjoy. Finally between now and the time that this law really appears that it is going to become real, then it would be nice to communicate with a few women that interest me and have our chance to talk while it is legal. That being said, how many SP`s are going to be interested in emailing and communicating with some client named MN2 when there is no date fixed, no time period planned and all only on the chance that I might follow through! Women that I have met before will probably be the ones that I choose to contact. The whole thing sucks. And yes, this image is for what all of you are out there thinking. :)
  12. I had an amazing day. It was another perfect outdoors day and I took great advantage of it. Grass cutting, sitting on my ass weeding and a few outside chores that had been postponed just too many times were accomplished. While doing those sorts of things it becomes an opportunity to talk to oneself without distraction. I had some GREAT conversations and that included a few arguments and I won them very convincingly. :) I actually spoke by telephone with someone else involved in this business about the political debacle and it was SO nice to do that. Threads and posts and PM's are fine, but there's nothing like real communication to help sort ones thoughts. I have thought of this quite a bit since my return to Cerb, but I really miss WIT and Samantha Evans right now. I miss their insight and wisdom and since I have met them both in the past I wish that I could have a conversation with each of them. I am not a huge soccer fan but I just cracked a beer and will begin right now to watch the first world cup game and hopefully find what it is that is so compelling to so many people around the world. This is long enough to be a blog entry and not that anyone would want to read my blog posts I am thinking of starting one. If you are a blogger and know of an easy to use, user friendly host site that you would recommend, then please PM to share that. Anywooooooo, it's been a really good day! AND, CFL pre-season games have started! Go Al's. :)

  14. In case you need them , here they are. I did have to copy and paste them all from their individual webpages, but its available to share now. It was too large for one thread post so its in two parts. Please note that I corrected three errors today, June 12. If you copied the list before this evening there were three web addresses rather than email addresses. This is now up to date, I think. 15. Thank you! I had no idea about that! I have now copied the email addresses of all of the A - H members. LOL
  16. The road to hell as they say is, "Paved with good intentions." I have written a rather lengthy essay/letter with the intention of sending it to each of the 308 Members of Parliament. It contains some thoughts and suggestions about the recent newly introduced legislation. So let's see. First of all I cannot find a spot where I can send in one click that same email to all of the members. Therefore I can foresee having to go to 308 separate MP webpages and then copy and paste each address into my email. As I wrote earlier today on another thread, I am looking for a compiled list where one copy and paste will do. If you have one, then please let me know! Secondly, I thought that for this email it might be wise to send it under an anonymous email address. Unfortunately I really do believe in Tory vindictiveness. Off to gmail I go and figured, hey, John Smith would be a great name. :) Guess what? It is taken. So is John Smith 1 and 2 and 3 and all the way up to johnsmith 207010. Wow, there's a LOT of Johns out there! Third my intention was to send it as well to the Globe and Mail and several other newspapers as an opinion/editorial/letter to the editor. None of them will accept a document anywhere close to my 1200 words. And I thought that I was being succinct and concise! Fourth, I am a Luddite when it comes to social media - Facebook and Twitter. I haven't a clue! I may have to get with the times! Finally, in all of the approach to this legislation after the Supreme Court ruling I was not really too concerned, thinking that reason and logic would prevail. I did send off a couple of letters and dutifully filled out the public survey. I was certainly not the voice of doom and gloom. Now however, I am certainly more gloomy, as I appear to see so many here that are resigned to let them do it and then the SC will overrule it. Ten years it took for Bedford. I'm afraid that I'll be dead by then! I read today that the bill has second reading on Wednesday which tells me that they have it on the fast track. In the for what its worth department, I guess I better figure out a new gmail name and start 308 copy and pastes. Sure would like some wisdom on a better or easier way to do this. :) All suggestions welcome!
  17. Further to what I wrote at the beginning of this thread,I have already written to the four opposition parties. I am in the process of writing an open letter that I would like to send to all 300+ MP's Does anyone know if there is a simple way to send that en masse rather than 300+ individual emails. I am also sending a copy on to a number of newspapers. There are a number of points in the letter but a new one for me is reminding them that when it comes time for a vote in the House, each member has accountability for their own vote and will hopefully choose to vote right over wrong, rather than follow the puppet line that no doubt will be expected of them. If you know an easy way to do this mass email then please let me know. Thanks, MN2 PS. Again, I urge you to do what you can and what you are comfortable with.
  18. My answer right now would really have to be that I am unsure at the moment. I am still reasonably confident that reason will prevail and that this political foolishness will be withdrawn. If not, then I suppose as the saying goes, "Where there's a will, there's a way."
  19. Mr Prime Minister Harper, Oh Ye, Oh Great One, Following the direction of the Supreme Court but first and foremost at your direction since you are so much more powerful than the Justices, I have been working to rewrite the legislation regarding prostitution in this great country of ours. I have determined that the model that we can use will be similar to the one that we follow in the regulation of marijuana. By using this model there is a precedent set elsewhere in our legal system that we cannot be challenged on and it will keep everyone happy. It shall be legal to sell sex and it shall be legal to purchase sex, but only in small amounts. We of course will be required to write regulations to define small. If a potential client is by nature well endowed then it would be impossible to have just a little bit of sex. That would be by definition a lot of sex and therefore subject to prosecution. This would be a winning political position for our party in the next election because in reality most men are not that well endowed. If you may recall, when a former President from our neighbors to the South had a blowjob from Ms. Lewinsky, he set precedent for us with these words. "I did not have sex with that woman." Therefore we can confidently assert that a simple blowjob is exempt from prosecution. Since I know how much you admire the Americans I am sure that you can accept this. Or perhaps we could allow a little bit of a blow job if you are more comfortable with that. Deep throat would certainly be cause for prosecution. In order to protect our youth it is critical that we regulate advertising from the "Ladies of the night." I propose that references to sex be prohibited, but that we create and charge for courses that will teach proper methods of writing in code. For example, an, "Introduction to Mr. Putin," would in fact refer to a Russian ending. Instead of using the term BBBJ they could talk about the "Triple B Ranch." These courses can also add to government income to allow us to further pad our Senators expense accounts. Mr Harper, before I finish I would like confirmation that I am on the right track. I would be pleased to do a CIM for you at your request. Sorry about the acronym - Composite Information Material. With Respect, Peter MacKay From the Desk of the Prime Minister: Peter, I'd like to stick it up your ass! Stephen From the Desk of Peter MacKay Stephen, Under the new legislation that response allows you to be charged!
  20. I don't think I have ever posted a Things That Suck before, ever. But today, I went to the second and then the third wake in the last week, and I don't go to many. Family members of very close friends of mine. This truly sucks.
  21. After two days of rain and very cold and wind the sun is coming out and it will be a decent day. I am in my work clothes, checking my list over. My begonias have been staked and tied and the hummingbird feeders refilled. It will be an outdoors day!
  22. Wishing you Sir a very Happy Birthday. I hope that you have a great day.
  23. If in fact we disagree with the proposed legislation Bill 36, then it is incumbent upon us to do what we can to prevent its passage or to have it significantly amended. As many have mentioned, quite correctly, there is a long way to go before it becomes the law of the land. In the meantime as Charlotte indicated in her response in this thread, "Women Will Die," there ARE actions that we all can take. We must follow process and procedure. This afternoon I sent the following email to Mr. Mulcair, leader of the NDP, Mr. Trudeau, leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, Mr Jean-Francois Fortin, interiim leader of the Bloc Quebecois, and to Ms. Elizabeth May, leader of the Green Party of Canada. Mr. Mulcair, I am writing with regard to the recently introduced proposed legislation, Bill C36. I am very distressed over this legislation on a multitude of different levels. I am hoping that you and your party will do everything in your power to either defeat this legislation or at a minimum try to have it referred to the Supreme Court prior to its debate in Parliament. My concerns are in many areas, however there are two that I shall mention primarily. 1. The Bedford decision overturned laws as being unconstitutional on the grounds that they cause potential harm and increase the threat to the safety of women engaged as sex workers. I believe that the INTENT of the unanimous decision was to protect sex workers by providing for safer conditions under which they can work. If passed, the newly introduced legislation will in reality drive the industry further underground and I believe that it will increase the danger and threat to many women who work in this industry. This applies in particular, but not solely, to street workers. 2. The Supreme Court of Canada should be inviolate. At times they may make decisions with which we do not agree, however, their status and their decisions should be regarded with the utmost respect. THAT is a cornerstone of our constitution and way of government. With this legislation, the present government is ignoring the Court and blatantly refusing to accept the sanctity of its decisions. This legislation is not about the safety of sex workers, but rather it is about the present government putting itself above the highest authority in the land. I trust that you will consider this issue very carefully and work not only to help stop violence against women, but also support the decisions of the Supreme Court of Canada. With Respect, My Real Name I have yet to decide whether to write a similar but adapted letter to Mr. Harper. Truthfully, I feel it would not help a bit. Over the past few years I have invested a great deal of money into seeing SP's and if I can do that then I can help to support sex worker organizations. I shall be making a monthly donation, probably to P.O.W.E.R., to help support them as they work against this legislation. I REALLY do not want to wait years for the whole thing to work its way through the Supreme Court once again. Once it is proclaimed as law, that will be what will happen. Do what you can do comfortably, but do it now. MN2
  24. There was the Supreme Court decision that repealed the laws. There was lots of talk. There was discussion. There was supposed consultation. Now there is a proposed law. Talk is cheap and its easy to be upset, to criticize, to vent and to rant, and many of us have done this in the last 24 hours either in print or with each other or just silently to ourselves. The real question at the moment is, "Where from here?" If we choose to be like the proverbial ostrich that hides its head in the sand then perhaps what we see is what we get? Last evening I heard an interview with Emily Symons who was representing P.O.W.E.R., an organization of/for sex workers in Ottawa. She did a fantastic job of expressing many common thoughts that most of us here probably support. I refer to P.O.W.E.R because one side of the equation may well be the need for a sex workers united front and I am wondering if P.O.W.E.R. is that organization? I have been negligent in not becoming familiar with these organizations because they may become one of the ways that this legislation can be fought. In order to fight this legislation prior to its being passed and then ultimately having to go through years of court battles all the way to the Supreme Court is there a way to do so right now? Emotion is good but what will be required is patience and a willingness to follow process and procedure, as slow and as painful as that may be. I titled this thread, " Women Will Die," because those are the words that Ms. Symons used last evening as did one other researcher who was interviewed. If there were such a thing as a PR campaign, those words as a focal point may carry a lot more weight than words saying, "Legalize prostitution." Why this thread? It is because I want to help and I don't know how. There are many men who really cannot be visible for personal reasons. Would I want to be publicly visible, probably not, but would I if I felt it would make a REAL difference, probably. However you can help, man or woman, client or sex worker, this is the time to step up. What is the best way? Thoughts? Suggestions?
