  1. Oh wow I gotta find a pair of those blue suedes Lee. I am practicing and my dance card is almost full. too. :)
  2. I am so content and excited about some future plans that are being made. :)
  3. I personally believe that you are on exactly the right track in wishing to communicate to some degree prior to meeting an SP. Your introductory email, or PM or text should be polite and serve as a brief personal introduction. Reading posts in the forums will give you a pretty good idea of how a particular SP thinks and I believe that you can get an appreciation for the person and make a somewhat informed opinion about whether the two of you will click. That "click" is important and can make a good experience become an amazing experience. Everyone is seeking the best experience possible and prior communication can make that first hello upon meeting become much easier and even more eagerly anticipated. At the same time I have read more than once about 'timewasters,' so there is indeed a fine line that you must walk. Follow the lead of the SP and if you don't get enough from her prior to meeting to give you that comfort level then it would be OK in my opinion to not make the date and even explain why. Good luck and enjoy your time on Cerb.
  4. We are now almost a month after Christmas and as I sit in readiness for the first football game of the year to begin, I am also anticipating delving into my ongoing Christmas gift. One of my kids knows that I enjoy trying different varieties of beer and for Christmas I received a gift box containing eight different varieties of my favorite alcoholic beverage. Each bottle or can is individually wrapped and each is labelled as Week 1, Week 2 and so on. Also included is a matching envelope with a written description of the beer and its history. So for each of eight weeks I have a new gift to open! I thought how unique and thoughtful was that gift! So, did you receive any unique and very thoughtful gifts this year? Perhaps there will be great ideas for some of to use next year.
  5. So, who watched NHL last night. I see the Sens and Leafs won and my Canadiens did not. :( Yes, I watched.
  6. BBQ hamburgers. Winter BBQ's are the BEST!
  7. This is simply a public note meant to wish Roamingguy all the best on his trip south to visit with his Dad. RG has been very open with the Cerb community about what is happening and although it is very difficult to help in any tangible way with something such as this, I know that Cerb members wish him well and all the best for his Dad. Take care RG and know that many good thoughts are with you.
  8. Happy Birthday to you my friend. I had arranged for a birthday cake to be delivered but there was a slight accident. I am sure that it is still good when one licks it off. Have a great day Old Dog.
  9. I probably should let someone who knows for sure answer RG, but I have heard real horror stories. I know I will not even take mine across the border.
  10. My renovation project is now going in a different direction. Instead of taking things apart I am beginning to put things back together! The electrical is done and next step new drywall for the ceiling and two walls. A corner has been turned. :)
  11. There are lots of theme songs from many contexts but the very first that came to mind for me is the theme from Rocky, Gonna Fly Now.
  12. My project to renovate a bedroom is now well on the way. As is always the case with a 100 year+ old farmhouse it involved more than anticipated but as of this moment all of my ripping out and tearing out is complete and cleaned up, so the focus will be on putting it back together again. :) Wish I could pay myself the going hourly wage!!!!! Go me. LOL
  13. My first ever flight on Porter Airlines.
  14. A picture is worth a thousand words.
  15. Congratulations Angela, but no worrries. Your secret is safe with me.
  16. My first response would be what Emily said. I bet Cerb will meet your need. This is an area I know little about other than hearsay, but it seems to me that I have read things similar to this on Cerb where a woman may negotiate a contract with you whereby they are on a retainer of some sort, a business agreement. I would be interested to know more of how this works if indeed it is something that does happen.
  17. Beef stew leftover from what I made on Sunday. It`s one of those meals that`s even better after reheating. :)
  18. Angela your socials are always a strong lure for me to travel! I believe that you must be eligible for an Ontario tourism grant of some sort. :) This trip is now under consideration.
  19. Welcome to Cerb. All I shall say to your post is that in my experience the photos that are posted on Cerb are indeed accurate. The board is run in such a way that should that not be the case then the member in question would not be a member for long. I also suppose that I hesitate when I read your statement about pictures not always telling the truth. Probably I would agree in the sense that the women almost always are better looking in person than what they portray in their albums. I trust our Cerb ladies and if you read the reccos and for a first encounter stay with a reputable woman then I can virtually guarantee that you will be a very happy man.
  20. I doubt that there will be a consensus on best city in Canada but certainly there are many cities with their own unique benefits. I know that I really love Montreal as a place to visit. Ottawa has become a more recent place that I have visited regularly and I love its energy while it has so much history and all sorts of green space along with walking and biking trails. Halifax is a beautiful city and my minimal time spent in St. John's will be treasured. However for me, there is no city that I would choose to move to at the moment. I love my little rural property that is only a half hour from Charlottetown and a relatively short hop to Halifax or Moncton so I have the best of both worlds.
  21. I like mistert because he started the food and cooking social group. I was also fortunate enough to have met him at several socials in Ottawa and know first hand that he is a good guy.
  22. My renovation project is well underway and all of the ripping and tearing is done. The ripping and tearing are my favorite parts. :) So, that's done, I am all cleaned up, and ready to sit back with a beer and a steak to watch NFL playoffs. Life is good!
  23. My advice would be identical to what everyone else has said. There are times when one ends up in very difficult circumstances through no fault of their own. There are life's realities having to do with basic human needs and intimacy is one of those needs. What is more difficult is what it appears as if you are struggling with. You did not use the word guilt as you described your dilemma, but I am reading that into your question. You obviously care a great deal for your wife and this lack of intimacy is leaving you in a very difficult position in your mind. Guilt is sometimes an irrational feeling that comes even when it is not deserved and when it is not a valid emotion. Geeze I still feel guilt at times for seeing SP's and my wife passed away almost 2 1/2 years ago. Totally irrational and illogical but real none the less. Your wife need not know about your liaisons with SP's and this is a situation that is not simply rationalizing away an action but is important for both her and for you. You require your intimate moments somewhere and she requires your devotion and support. Those two things are not mutually exclusive. You can do both and be very proud of what you are doing. Best of luck to you and don't let this detract from what pleasures you derive from SP's and neither from your devotion to your wife.
