I'm back in time for the holidays
mrrnice2 replied to SamanthaEvans's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
A sincere welcome back Samantha. For those of us who have come to know you through your writing it is not a surprise that you would have stepped up and helped others in the way that you have done, even as it took a personal toll. We also know that you are strong. There are many kinds of friends, and I am certain that in this community there are many who are proud to call themselves Samantha's friend, and who are there should you wish to call upon them. Now, while you were away Lee Richards has posted some outrageously bad jokes that you probably don't need to look up and you may or may not be pleased to know that you made it into my Christmas Dream poem. :) May peace and joy come with the ushering in of the holiday season and with 2013 being just around the corner. -
I spent a good part of the day today touching base with friends both inside and outside of Cerb, using email, PM's and the telephone. I am absolutely delighted this evening to see Samantha Evans back with us and for many of us I am sure that it is like an early Christmas present. We missed you.

Best Christmas songs
mrrnice2 replied to mahcus00's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Old Friends, New Friends from the Muppet Family Christmas. The entire show is a family tradition and treasure but the song may be heard at 45:00 in this youtube video of the show in its entirety. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OYV_PA0WHAw Merry Christmas. -
Well, just a differing opinion, but I virtually always prepay and sometimes LONG in advance. It is my way of budgeting. The other side of that coin is that I generally see very well respected and established women, and I have never felt that I was taking an undue risk. I am a trusting person but that trust is also tempered with the fact that I know who it is that I am planning to meet. Sorry that this happened to you. MN2

Best Christmas songs
mrrnice2 replied to mahcus00's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
My first contribution to this thread is from probably my favorite Christmas CD, by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton. Once Upon a Christmas. -
I recently was on an extended road trip and as I have tended to do of late, I included a stop in Ottawa on my journey. At that time I was fortunate enough to have been able to spend a significant period of time with Nathalie. This was our third meeting and it was ever so comfortable to see her again. It was simply as if we had had a slightly extended period of absence between friends. Nathalie was, as always, her usual personable and intriguing self and we caught up with each others lives as we pursued an extended day. She introduced me to a place called the Nordik Spa where we did the baths, and it was something that would be wonderful experience for anyone, be it with a special SP, a significant other, or even alone. It was fun, sensual, even very much spiritual, and all at the same time. Thank you Nathalie for bringing that experience to me. I shall treasure it. On our return to the city we had a delightful and fun meal. When she said to the server, "I kicked his ass in the eating ribs department," it was true!!! And she did! How can a woman who is so slim and physically fit eat like that? :) One day a dream will come true and Nathalie and I shall be trapped in an elevator for many hours. She is an amazing woman to make out with and our elevator experiences have been far too short! We concluded our time with an incredibly intimate, and for me, incredibly erotic experience. There are many words that can describe an experience of an intimate nature but for me with Nathalie they may be the words erotic and sensual yet at the same time fun and playful. When we did move to the bedroom it was as if time stood still. There was nothing else on the table at that point other than a mutual desire to provide pleasure, ever so slowly (which I love), with laughs at just the right times, mutual exploration, learning each others bodies and wants and her incredible smile throughout. Once again I will say that if you are in Ottawa and can arrange to spend some time with Nathalie she is an amazing person in addition to being an amazing woman and is someone who I truly hope to see again. Thank you yet once again Nathalie for a wonderful time. MN2

We all know that there is lots going on in this world that is bad, that we perceive as bad, things that cause us to throw ours arms up in frustration, that may cause us to waver in our faith of others , be it individuals or groups or countries. Two days ago it was the shooting in Connecticut, a month ago it was the Israel - Palestine conflict, a year ago it was something else. We live in a media controlled world, a media that thrives on bad news and the willingness of people as a captive audience to sit and watch and listen and absorb it. That news is real, but it need not be all consuming as they wish it to be. But, and it is a huge but, there is a LOT of genuine good in the people on this earth. Take the time to look at and focus for a while on what you know is good about people. There is a lot to see if you let yourself do so. You know what? I am good. I am not perfect, by a long shot, but I am good. And ultimately, the only person that I can control is me. However, I can stay inside the Cerb world and name person after person who is good. I can step outside to my family and friends and name person after person who is good. There are many many more people who are good than evil and I say that with my own personal strong degree of confidence. There are people who care about others because it is their nature to do so, and don't do it for personal gain or for ulterior motives. Yes, all of us have been burned probably at one time or another, and being burned causes caution and often causes unfounded mistrust but don't overlook the obvious either. So if you are good then stand up and be exactly that, recognize it and embrace it. Look for the goodness in others because I expect that we are all surrounded by it and sometimes won't let ourselves see it. When you see it then recognize it and embrace it and let it help to restore your faith in humanity. My little rant of the day.

Go with the flow
mrrnice2 replied to Serena Blake's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I TOTALLY get that Serena. There was a time when that would have been Greek to me and beyond understanding, but now,"Go with the flow," or, "Que sera sera," are the order of the day. It is rather a freeing and empowering feeling to have! -
What an interesting thread and I don't know how it has escaped me for all of this time. It is an interesting thread but, not an easy one to do! There are a number of women who I have not had the pleasure of spending time with and there are many who do intrigue me Local for me would probably be Lexy Grace in Halifax. For travelling SP's or SP's who are for me women that I would travel to see, the list could be long, however I shall stay within the rules and select two. I hope that in the future I might get to spend some quality time with Cat from Ottawa and Soleil in Winnipeg.

At this time, and with her permission, I would like to let all of her friends in CERB know that Penelope Davis has had her baby - a healthy and big bouncing baby boy. Mother and son are both doing well. I spoke with her this evening and it made my heart feel two sizes too big to hear the joy in her voice for her Christmas gift. Congratulations Penelope! :)

A Christmas Dream :)
mrrnice2 replied to mrrnice2's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Well Katherine, I hope that you have been a good girl this year because I bet that Lee is on many women's Christmas lists. Or perhaps you have made it to his naughty list. :) -
A long preamble to a highlight. I got home last Sunday from a wonderful trip away. Great driving weather both ways, lovely visits with family, reconnecting with some old and new friends, and a very important life lesson began to take shape in my mind. I was home for one day before receiving word of yet another death in my family, so I am back home again tonight after having been out of province yet again. I was sitting here just feeling blue and down when a good friend gave me the following simple reminder. We can be thankful, at least in my case, that I have a home, I have heat and food, I have family and friends, and I am alive and well. Thanks for that important reminder that puts things in perspective, and this is my highlight of the day.

Got ya beat Lee. Been there done that. LOL All my one single small little tattoo did is teach me an appreciation of just how tough Sara and Cleo and Malika and others are!!!!! So for you, I'd recommend the full collage of all of the Austin Powers characters. Have fun and Merry Christmas to yourself. :) -

'Twas shortly 'ere Christmas, when all through Cerbland Not a client was stirring, not even Cometman; The research was done by many with care, In hopes that SP's soon would be there; The men were all nestled all snug in their ways, With visions of SP's coming their way; And Mod sat in his den, and I in my home, I just settled down to write a silly old poem; When out in Cerbland there arose such a clatter, Mod sprang to his office to see what was the matter. Away to the keyboard he flew like a flash, Threw open his windows and called up the cache; The peace in Cerbland from the newly written posts Gave him pause to reflect on Cerb, coast to coast, When, what to his eyes on the screen did appear, But a cute little image with eight tiny reindeer; With a little old driver, Lee Richards he thought, But surely it can't be, it must really be not? But more rapid than rep points, Lee's coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name; "Now, Gabby! Now, Katherine! Now, Emily and Cat! On, Meg! On Angela! Penelope and Nat! To the East coast we go! Let's go all the way! mrrnice is awaiting ,we mustn't delay!! As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky, So off to the coast the coursers they flew, Some an acquaintance to make and for some to renew. And then, in a jiffy Mod saw on the screen, Good golly not eight but t'was really eighteen Samantha and Sarah, VJ, Sophia, Isabella and Cleo and could that be Malika? mrrnice dressed in fur, from his head to his feet, His arms opened wide so all he could greet; A bundle of toys he flung to the girls, The vibes and the eggs they each had a whirl. His eyes -- how they twinkled! his dimples how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry! His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And both he and Lee had a toast to the show; He was happy and smiled, just like an old elf, And Mod laughed when he saw him, in spite of himself; A wink of his eye and a twist of his head, Gave Mod to know he had nothing to dread; MN spoke not a word, but went straight to the flock, And hugged each one tightly while having a talk, Then waving his hand he laughed and he said, Have a great flight home its time for my bed; Then Lee sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew like the down of a thistle. But Lee heard from behind, ere they drove out of sight, "HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD-NIGHT!" Apologies to Clement Clark Moore, original author!

Real or artificial
mrrnice2 replied to CristyCurves's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Real for sure. A great family tradition to go get the tree and most often we cut our own. I get to put on the lights and then the kids carefully place each ornament after discussing where it came from and when and then carefully place them in just that perfect spot. Hot rum for me, rum and egg nog for them and it is an all day affair. :) -
I wonder if it is possible for people to accept that, "Where we are is where we are?" In terms of ownership of the land if we go back far enough, to biblical times, the land was Jewish land. Recall Moses and the parting of the Red Sea as they were driven out? By the same token all of our Canada was once native land. Are we obligated it to restore it back? We are where we are and we cannot ignore present day realities. I am still not overly optimistic but there has to be a day when this dispute is resolved in an intelligent way.

How has Cerb changed your life
mrrnice2 replied to someguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
How has Cerb changed my life? That is an interesting question and in fact one a question that I ponder over on a very regular basis. I really cannot say that it has changed my life, however it has become an important part of my life over the past couple of years. I will be very shortly leaving Cerb behind, for a while, and at that point I may better be able to answer the question. What Cerb has brought me is a way of meeting women that is totally opposite to what one comes across in everyday life. Here when I meet a woman a sexual encounter is virtually guaranteed and the social/personal aspect is something that perhaps may develop. In my other world when one meets a woman one knows that a social/personal encounter is virtually guaranteed and that a sexual aspect is something that may develop. Two polar opposites. It is a lot easier in the Cerb world because I am so much more confident with my social skills than with my seduction skills!!! Has it changed my life? I think the answer has to be a yes because anything to which I have devoted as much time to as this has to have an affect on my life. It has a filled a void and whether that void will be filled outside of Cerb is yet to be determined, but truthfully, I think not. I know that I have met women that have accepted me exactly for who I am. I believe that for the most part the interactions have been honest and without judgement and I ever so much appreciate being a part of a world that does not require the games that are normally played in traditional relationships. It is very refreshing. Some of the women that I have met have helped me in more ways than probably some of them realize. Two years ago being a part of this world would have been the furthest thing from my mind and it was a world that I truly did not even know existed. What I thought that I knew about this lifestyle was shattered with the first woman that I met and I am still learning a great deal about this world and about myself as I navigate my way. The story is not yet done. -
Up for grabs. :) Did we miss Notch's puzzle? I am stuck on that one. H I J K L M N O
