  1. Happy Birthday to you and here is a special cake with you in mind. :)
  2. Only once ever did I have the opportunity to frequent a swim up bar, but have to say, I loved it! Swimming in the ocean or a pool?
  3. A leather Apple iPad cover on Quibids. LOL
  4. There is no obligation at all. For myself this has become a part of my daily routine and when I do choose to write it could be on something frivolous, something serious, something possibly helpful and usually something positive and those things ultimately all help me in some way. What I do miss are the posts from some people who were prolific in the past, who always wrote so positively in the public forums and who have become only occasional posters or in some cases non-posters. Each member has their own reason to post or for choosing not to, and for them the reasons are 100% valid. I also miss the joke section, or if its here I cannot find it!
  5. Lily Munster Stephen King or Dean Koontz?
  6. What scares me more than anything are things that are unseen but exist only in the mind. Several of Stephen Kings novels were beyond - The Shining and believe it or not, Christine. How could a book about a haunted car be so terrifying! In film, an older movie named Poltergeist is one that I would never watch again, at least unless someone was here for me to hold onto!. Modern films tend to include lots of blood and gore and that doesn't do it for me. Alfred Hitchcock and the old TV series Twilight Zone call upon your imagination, and that's where the suspense and truly terrifying things lie. If you can find this short story, be prepared to shiver inside. http://www.enotes.com/two-bottles-relish-salem/two-bottles-relish "What evil lurks in the minds of man?"
  7. Sexy Vampires! Scary faced pumpkin carving or funny faced pumpkin carving?
  8. I am reviving this thread in which directions for this trip were last updated in May of 2012. Bottom line is that I would prefer to get from Quebec City to the Ontario border without having to cross onto the Island of Montreal. It appears as if there is a Rte 30 that I might use on my way up to get to Kingston. The last time that I used it there was still a great deal of construction and I had to use 138 and 201 to eventually get to Hwy 20 and eventually the 401. Is that still accurate? Coming back East on this next trip I expect that I will be leaving from Ottawa. After you cross at Grenville, Hawkesbury is Hwy 50 complete now right through to 15 and from there I could take 640 and 40 and stay north of the river all the way to Quebec City? Amy advice based on experience is welcome. I see it all on Google Maps but don't know how updated they keep them. Thanks again. MN2
  9. From coverage it appears as if we in Canada are going to escape the brunt of Sandy. We have high winds and rain coming or snow in the case for Mighty Finn, but it looks like just a good fall storm. Yesterday watching the track of Sandy I kept waiting for it to make the left turn inland that it eventually did, as forecast. I hate to wish bad luck on others but I really did not want a direct hit on the Maritimes either. It looks as if there is a lot of damage to our friends to the South so wishing them well and I hope that it does not get too bad in Ontario today.
  10. Betty. Christmas holidays or summer holidays?
  11. Pepsi for sure. A beautiful sunrise or a beautiful sunset?
  12. I am sooo excited! Does this mean that you are taking me to a secret destination? Surprises are always so much fun! Additional Comments: My highlight today was getting leaves mulched outside and a good chunk of my Christmas lights up outside, and I did not even freeze my fingers off! December the first they go on!
  13. Well, well, well. So much for statistics and as they say, that's why they play the games! The nice thing about baseball is that there is always next year. Within days people will be looking ahead to spring training and Stevecurious will be touting his Red Sox. For once an underdog came through. Congratulations to the San Francisco Giants!
  14. Mais J'aime mons pays, l'est, l'ouest et tout entre les deux. Aussi, j'aime l'hiver est c'est tout le francais pour mois!
  15. MacDonalds! When you as a client or an SP meets the other, do you anticipate the sex or the person?
  16. So true. The Prairies? Is Manitoba included? Western Canada? Is Alberta in there? Perhaps it is just accepted in modern terminology that Eastern Canada refers to Ontario and Quebec, and despite the fact that to me it is illogical, I will get used to it. We are a funny country. :)
  17. Oh no, does that mean that all of Canada revolves around Lee Richards? Soleil, OK. :)
  18. Alright, I have to ask. What is this Eastern Canada stuff? I turn on the radio or TV to the CBC national news and I hear about this massive storm that may hit Eastern Canada. Geeze, I was getting worried as I remember Hurricane Juan! Upon further investigation I see that they are talking about Southern Quebec and Ontario.?????? I thought that was Upper Canada or Central Canada? What are we here on the East coast? The far east? Insignificant? A Canadian footnote? Does Canada stop at the Quebec - New Brunswick border? That's OK though, I will figure it out. For me, I love the Maritimes and Atlantic Canada and if we are Canada's best kept secret that's good with me. By the way, if the big storm in Eastern Canada is making you nervous come this way and enjoy the lovely fall weather. My B&B could be open. My good natured vent for the day. :) Good luck to you all in Central Canada.
  19. Waffles. A snowstorm or a long warm rain?
  20. A hug just for anyone who would care to receive one today. :)
  21. Partially covered. Planned things or impromptu things?
  22. The Romulans Gray Cup or Super Bowl??
