  1. Happy birthday to you. I hope that you have a great day.
  2. Oops. Sorry RG Hagen Das or Ben & Jerrys
  3. Rainbows. :) (Over a rock foundation) One on one or a threesome?
  4. Jan Smithers! Sean Connery as James Bond or Daniel Craig?
  5. A leisurely stroll Football or hockey?
  6. When you buy a pair of Tacks for $10 that are well broken in and in great shape. They used to be (many years ago) the state of the art skate and were always way way out of my league for skates.
  7. I have had a couple of absolutely delightful days. Yesterday I began working toward achieving a personal goal for this winter, and that being to learn to skate again. At one time I was a very good skater and a pretty good hockey player. Just over fifteen years ago I had a medical issue that put my skating to an end, or so I believed. Well last spring my kids and a friend got me to rent a pair of skates and we did multiple laps of the outdoor Halifax oval. On the first lap I was thinking that this was a very bad idea, and was being pretty well held up by all of them. By the second lap I was gaining a bit of confidence and by the end of our time I was thinking to myself that "Hey, MN2, you can learn to do this again." On the weekend I bought a decent pair of broken in skates for $10 on a buy sell and trade site, and yesterday and today I started my skating program. No one was needed to hold me up, I actually did the turn sideways to do a proper stop, and I am on my way. :) It feels pretty good to be on skates again! So, when does the canal freeze over in Ottawa should I plan a trip up that way??? Any ladies want to hold my hand for a leisurely skate?
  8. Lee Richards is a great hockey fan but since the World Series is on he attended his first baseball game last night in San Francisco. After a Giants base hit he heard the fans roaring run....run! The next batter connected heavily with the ball and Lee stood up and roared with the crowd: "Run ya bastard, run will ya!" The next batter slammed a hit and again Lee, obviously pleased with his knowledge of the game, screamed "Run ya bastard, run will ya!" The next batter held his swing at three and two and as the ump called a walk Lee stood up yelling "Run ya bastard, run!" All the surrounding fans giggled quietly at him and Lee sat down confused. Sandimoon who was sitting beside him, sensed his embarrassment and whispered in his ear, "He doesn't have to run, he's got four balls." After this explanation Lee stood up in disbelief and screamed, "Walk with pride man! Walk with pride!!!!"
  9. Oh Meg that was a hard one! But, making out!! Overlapped. Sorry Porthos. Pepperoni. SF Giants or Detroit Tigers in the World Series.
  10. It is World Series time again and let the games begin. I am struggling with which team to cheer for however. As a long time Expos fan who always believed that the National League played a better and more exciting brand of baseball I am am leaning in that direction. They also have Scudero who I always liked a s hustle player for the Bluejays. Detroit on the other hand is a welcome relief to seeing the Yankees or the Red Sox so I am a sentimental fan for them. However, sorry Sandimoon, but Let's Go Giants.
  11. I like Porthos because of his contributions but also because he is a transplanted Newfoundlander, or at least I sense that he wants to go back. He is also able to distinguish between a Maritimer and an Atlantic Canadian as I noticed in one of his recent posts. :) A fine but very important difference.
  12. Thanks CdnTraveller. I am getting the same thing here with imgur as I was getting with Photobucket. :( Trying this out from imgur. Additional Comments: Hmm. Perhaps I have it now? Thanks CdnTraveller!
  13. I have been using Photobucket to store photos and then from there I post them on various threads and so on. Normally I would simply place my mouse on the image in Photobucket, and from the dropdown menu select direct link. It would say copied and away I could go to my thread. For the past week when I select direct link it says copied, momentarily and then goes back to the http direct link coding and it pastes the link text and not the image in the thread. Is anyone else having this issue or is it my computer acting out its own little fantasies? OR, perhaps someone has an easier method to use? I have a few hugs and celebratory wishes to send out!! Thanks MN2
  14. Alright RG, the trailblazer. Let us know what you think after a day or so and then it may be my turn. :) Good on you!!!!!!
  15. Well RG it appears as if you and I share a trait - that of being folically challenged! I have had thoughts exactly the same as your own, and curiously enough the thoughts were put into my head by two pretty awesome SP's both of whom suggested it and I did not even ask the question! It appears as if the consensus from women is pretty clear. I am glad that you put this question out there as it may be the incentive that I need! Keep us posted! MN2
  16. I like Mighty Finn because one can pretty well count on seeing a good morning from him everyday in the shout box, usually posted from NE Ontario. He gives Lee Richards and Roamingguy a run for their money in the jokes department and he has insightful posts on many topics.
  17. The choice of writing a review is entirely your own. Each member that writes a review does so in their own way, using their own personal criteria about what to include, what not to include or even if a review is justified. For me, I would not write a lukewarm review, but that's just me. I suppose that is based on the way that I write and no matter how hard I tried it would come across when you read between the lines that there was something 'missing" from the encounter. If I see someone and do not post a review, the only other person who knows that the encounter happened was the service provider, so nobody would be able to read a negative into the fact that I did not write a recco. A recco is exactly that and a lukewarm experience does not justify a glowing review. If you write reviews that are inaccurate then that creates a sense of doubt when you DO write that glowing amazing review of a mind blowing experience. That is perhaps unfair to the lady in that circumstance.
  18. Off Island for a couple of days which is always something I enjoy. Spending time with my in-laws and she is home from a two month stay in hospital, looking and feeling pretty good! I am closer to them than I was with my own parents and it is so nice that they are still going pretty strong and include me still as a real part of their family.
  19. Meg, corned beef and cabbage sounds like comfort food to me. My meal this evening will be very simple but for me its one of my comfort foods. Fish sticks, mashed potato and peas. :) Hardly gourmet!
  20. What a fun idea Sacha and I wish I had noticed the thread yesterday. Feel free to share some of the laughs with the rest of us. One can never have too many laughs! :)
