  1. It is with disappointment that I read of the cancellation of the social in June in Halifax. I have been following the conversation here on this thread from its inception and recognized the insecurities that were being expressed. Rightly and correctly, every person involved has to be aware of and have respect for discretion, confidentiality and personal comfort levels not only for themselves but for others. With the idea of a social being 'new' to the Maritime area those things appear to have caused concern and worry. Were these concerns justified? I do not know. I DO know that I had intended to go and that I was looking forward to meeting fellow Cerb members in a pleasant and purely social context. I have been busy and travelling for the past number of weeks and when I get home and think a bit, then perhaps I may suggest an alternative for June or for at some point in the early fall. For the moment however I will take all of this at face value and as I tend to do to I will look at the upsides. It is quite clear that there is interest in the idea and in most cases where there is a will there is a way. Therefore I am anticipating that this will happen in one form or another in the near future and in a very simple form. I want to thank Taloon for his valient attempt at trying to bring this idea to fruition, and I hope that the experience has not dampened his enthusiasm for being a contributing member of this amazing community. At the moment if my 'ticket' money can be used to offset expenses already committed to then please use it for that. If that is not necessary or required then Taloon please donate it to a women's shelter in Halifax. For the moment then, looking to a social in the not too distant future.
  2. Congratulations NJ. Well done and keep it up.
  3. My selection for today as Cerb Goddess of the Day is Carley Chase. Carley is a simply delightful young lady with maturity beyond her years and is a unique combination of being demure and incredibly sexy at the same time. http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/member.php?u=31598 Carley has of late not been highly visible on line but I believe that she is still following this career path in her life and for that many Cerb hobbyists can take great delight. Having met her in the past I can say with assurance that she is more than qualified to be a Goddess of the Day.
  4. As lovely as it is to be away on a holiday to visit friends and family it is equally lovely to be home again. :)
  5. I like Soleil because when she is on here she seems like a breath of fresh air. She is a positive and happy contributor and someone that I would love to meet at some point.
  6. Geeze Old Dog. I apologize! Just for a moment there I mistook your ass for Katherines - you know, tight, muscled and toned! Easy mistake to make eh. I knew when I tried the bounce a quarter off your ass trick that Lee Richards suggested and then it fell straight down that I had the wrong person.
  7. I consider myself fortunate to have met Penelope in the early days of my Cerb membership. She is a sweet and incredibly sexy lady who is the rocker chick and the girl next door all in the same package. She is sensitive and shy yet very into whatever happens behind closed doors. One of Canada's sweethearts. http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/member.php?u=35208 I see from recent posts that she will shortly be taking a break from Cerb for a while so I am indeed fortunate to have met her when I did. Her recommendations speak for themselves from the various cities across Canada. http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=33948 (Nova Scotia) http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?ltr=A&t=43409 (Ottawa) My choice as todays Goddess of the Day. - Penelope Davis
  8. I am just at the end of two days in the beautiful city of Ottawa, so this is a two day cumulative highlight. I could have been found sitting on Parliament Hill, or maybe you saw me when I was that guy just standing and looking up at tall buildings. You could have caught me admiring tulips here there and everywhere, or checking out the locks on the Rideau Canal. I still had time to meet with a lady that I have wanted to meet with for a very long time, and that was a GREAT decision. I had an amazing reconnection with a lady with whom I have spent a great deal of time in the past and somehow I also managed to find time to meet up with a group of Cerb people and met some new and old friends at that little gathering. I need to go home and rest. Thanks to Ottawa and the wonderful people who call it home.
  9. Thanks Old Dog for the hospitality and for the opportunity to meet some new friends. Ah, just one question. How come Katherine got that bottle of wine and not me?
  10. Thanks Dr. Love. I intend to be at the social and am looking forward to it. I realize that organizing something such as this takes time and effort and often may go unrecognized or being taken for granted. As this is the first Maritime effort I believe there is likely to be uncertainty, but all great things start small and this may be an opportunity to create a fun and relaxed environment for like minded people. I hope to meet many Cerb friends in Halifax on the 22nd of June.
  11. Yup Meg. I interpreted it exactly the same way as WIT, so was waiting for a day when nobody had contributed a name. Now my problem is that I have met a number of truly remarkable and amazing women, all of whom deserve extra recognition, so when I start I will go in alphabetical order. One day at a time.
  12. I like mistert because he always says hello those rare times now that I go into chat, and he is our resident gourmand. Is that the right word? He is one of the many nice guys that I have met on Cerb.
  13. Grabbing on to the, "You only live once", idea and deciding on the spur of the moment to do something that I am quite excited about. Whoo Hooo.
  14. I just read that the bus strike is over and a new contract has been settled on and accepted. The company indicates that they will resume service over the next week.
  15. For one of the best and most creative writers on Cerb. We all want you to keep doing this. :)
  16. You'll always be my little red haired girl. :)
  17. Congratulations on achieving God status Spud. Keep it up.
  18. Whoo Hooo. Hey, welcome my friend. No apology necessary at all.....I am just so pleased to see you. It's been mentioned before on here but when someone suddenly disappears, we wonder and hope that everything is OK and that nothing bad healthwise has happened. So this may be my highlight of the day. Good friends are important.
  19. Smiling to myself. Never thought a Kraft Dinner thread would generate this much response! Now maybe for the next SP who would like to join me at home for a visit I can demo my culinary talents and bring out the Kraft Dinner. Or not. Just PM me for an invitation. :)
  20. Congratulations Spud! Whoa, that is an accomplishment. :)
  21. Some things I believed were truly inviolate. But much to my dismay, I guess change is inevitable, and even those old count on stand bys are being modernized and brought to new 'standards.' Yes, I am talking about Kraft Dinner. My favorite comfort food. In the store today what did I see but Kraft Dinner made from whole wheat and then beside it Kraft Dinner made with dried brocolli. I can hear you now - "Come on MN2, get healthy." I like my old KD so now I shall just check carefully when I pick it up off of the shelf!
  22. I like Samantha because she is just as interesting in person as she is on line. She has some really interesting and to me unexpected interests and is a really neat woman. :) And did I mention calm, smart and sexy too? Oops. Missed Angela. Well, Angela is a good Cerb friend who makes me feel welcome and makes jokes about PEI potaoes.
  23. Arrived at my daughters house after an easy and relaxing two day drive to 'Upper Canada'. A weeks holiday and family.
  24. OK, OK, I know the country boy is showing in me now as I write this, but...... I just arrived in Kingston this afternoon by car, after leaving from PEI yesterday morning. I LOVE to drive, and the fact that my gas guzzler and being a single solo person in the car is probably not economical or environmentally friendly, but...... I could not help but notice a slightly higher traffic density (to put it gently) as I moved farther away from my home, but....... From Quebec City, through to Kingston and I know from past driving it goes all the way to Toronto and beyond, it was transport trucks. Trucks, trucks, and more trucks. I thought to myself as my mind never stops while I drive, why aren't all of these cargos going by train? Surely it is more environmentally friendly. This brought me to pondering our rail infrastructure and images I have seen of high speed passenger trains in Europe and Japan, and wondered to myself. For those international travellers here, are we in Canada way behind the times? Would a multi-million (billion) upgrade to rail not be a good initiative to embark upon? I have travelled by train from Halifax to Kingston and throughly enjoyed the relaxing means of travel. Would anyone else consider that or is speed of the essence? Those are my musings for today.
