I would love to attend however my Ontario travel plans are now confirmed and there will be no detour through Ottawa. :( Poor planning on my part I know.

Summer DOES mean ice cream cones and I think this may be a Maritime only favorite, but I'll take grapenut every time. A close second is Dairy Queen vanilla soft ice cream with the chocolate dip. :)

I know that we think that our election period is long but be glad that we are not Americans. It's still a year before the two parties there actually choose their candidates for President and then longer after that before the election, and their debates begin tonight. We are so far away from actual decisions being made but at the moment the contradiction between Mr. Trump being viewed by many as a joke candidate and the fact that he is so far ahead in the polls may be telling? I am reiterating I suppose, but he is the only candidate that Americans are being exposed to from either party who shows passion and whose words they believe. It probably does not even matter right now what those words are because average people are so tired of hearing only canned comments, the party line, political correctness and insincerity. He might be a joke, but, he ain't no joke. As an aside, I expect that in tonight's debate in Canada Elizabeth May will be the only one that shows passion and sincerity. She can be our Donald trump with a great deal more credibility.

Thanks Hank. I did not get my call back from Elections Canada as they promised. If and when I do I shall ask them directly if the parties have access to the voters list and if the parties can change it. I doubt that they would admit to that being possible though. I think that after I hear what they say I will contact the Liberals and NDP to be aware of this potential issue. LOL, I feel like Mel Gibson in The Conspiracy Theory. Fall What would you watch tonight? The Canadian debate, the American debate or the Jays game?

BBQ'ing a steak and having my special double baked potatoes along with carrots, peas and beans from the garden. I almost sound like a healthy eater there! LOL Not.

I'm sitting outside on one of the rare evenings so far this summer that it's fit to do so. The flowers are coming into their glory, the hummingbirds ate in a feeding frenzy, the temperature is nice, the wind is nill, and it's just a really pleasant time and place to be.

Broadway. Fiction or Non-fiction?

I am sipping a beer after a day outside. As I sip I am trying to decide who to put on my CFL Proline ticket this week. I believe that I shall put my big $2 bet on Montreal, Ottawa and Saskatchewan. :)

After yet another perfect PEI weather day and many hours of weeding the garden and flower beds, I'm sipping on a well deserved beer and I will browse on Lyla for a bit. AND....new PEI potatoes for supper from the neighbor!

I have had the pleasure of meeting Midnight and she is a delightful person who I really enjoy interacting with. Ms. Manda I have not met but I hear only great things about her. As someone else mentioned there are many great ladies in the Halifax area.

I've been off of here for a while, mostly because of company. Kids were all home and it was an amazing time. Feeling rather lonely now that they are all gone. On PEI it took a while to get here, but July 1st officially brought summer weather. It's outside now for me full time and I love it. Flowers are late but getting ready to do their thing.

That's really not good. I only ever cancelled once and it was a date booked months ahead and cancelled weeks ahead. I still felt badly about it. :(

Pepsi. Not diet! Salmon or trout?

I've had awesome company for each of the last two weekends, and all of my kids and my grandson and my in-laws will be home here for a week. I am super excited. Now please someone send summer. It's ALL good!

I'm beginning to wonder if I shall ever get to another social, but this one won't be it. July in PEI is almost too nice to leave, and it's when I have company from all over Canada. Have a blast! MN2
