I am a big Timmies fan and have no interest in Starbucks. I just like plain simple regular black coffee but most of all I like Tims for sandwiches and some have late night hours. I wish they had more in the U.S. but it's my favorite spot for lunch or late night snack after midnight in Toronto/Mississauga area on my many visits.

And many police departments have acknowledged this i.e. the long statement from Toronto police that there will be no changes in enforcement and based on harm reduction such as underage or forced. As I recall, Victoria and Montreal PD had similar statements when C36 came out. A few cities are more strict but not the larger ones, except maybe Edmonton. My main focus is just Toronto/Mississauga area.

C-36, s. 286.1

Minor point purchasing was legal as long as not in public (street, public area of bar or hotel etc). In one case a remote street rarely used was ruled not public since there was an expectation of privacy. Even the Edmonton Police website said for many years (still may) that a close massage room was not a public place for the purpose of the solicitation law. As you point out it was never illegal to solicit/communicate by phone, e-mail, websites etc. -

I think comparing the U.S. (Seattle case) to Canada is like apples and oranges. The issue in Seattle was the first ever I've heard of bust based on reviews (not ads which is more discussed here.) If you really want to follow the Seattle case it is BBBJ etc mentioned in reviews that would seem to be more the issue. But the U.S. law is far more extensive and in various states crime includes "promoting", "assisting" etc. And sex trafficking can be charged a boyfriend/husband that acts as phone helper, driver etc. In Alaska there is a well-respected companion in prison for sex trafficking HERSELF! In the U.S. there are massive stings going after private consenting adults with huge grant money from the anti's funding these operations with the idea that all sexwork is abuse of women. Two vice cops at a trial I attended testified in decade or more of vice work they never met a woman who willingly was a sex worker. Contrast that with the attitude of most PD's in Canada. Some major city police have come out with long statements that they are only enforcing C-36 based on harm. Toronto PD came out with a long statement limiting enforcement to under aged, or when forced. Likewise, as I recall Victoria B.C. and Montreal. However, a few cities seem to be enforcing more harshly but if they do without evidence of harm it is likely C36 will be challenged in the Courts just like the case that eliminated all the prostitution laws which resulted in the C36 response. I agree to avoid the "communications" issue it is safer not to list sex acts in ads. But how about in reviews? It says "any person"... And the disallowing any links or information in signature lines seems an even more extreme reaction such as deleting all my links to noncommercial sites with mostly information and my own reviews, or even my libchrist.com or lovetouch.info which have nothing to do with money for sex. Some of us may prefer less paranoid boards as I have with my thousands of posts over a decade on another board. -
My favorite activity is the nude-reverse massage parlors of Mississauga. On the menu thanks to Ms. Hazel for decades mayor into her 90s. If we in the U.S. would just adopt the harm reduction model of Canada without the big issues for consenting adults. My favorite adult activity is massage, giving as well as receiving from an attractive naked women, and the positive reaction I usually get very quickly after getting my "hands on her." Also why I enjoy contact lap dances at strip clubs (especially in Canada). I've been trained in Esalen, taught couples classes, and have a 10-minute routine for the nude-reverse parlors, which I call more loving touch - very sensual but not directly sexual (no penetration). There is a scientific reason we enjoy caring touch done by someone we trust. The trust is usually established quickly by the right kind of touch - not groping and grabbing as I am told lots of men do. While I prefer an attractive women, it is the same principle why therapy dogs are becoming popular or why we enjoy petting a dog or cat. Dogs have been used to help stress in long lines at airports and recently been allowed to sit next to children testifying about sexual abuse. When the dog senses stress (cortisol hormone) it nudges the person and the dog wants to be petted. It has been shown that the petting then releases oxytocin in the human. Most dogs like petting. Most women or men, like to be lovingly massaged or caressed. Cuddling with an adult companion is also one of my favorite sports and legal even in the U.S. While human contact with a woman (for us straight men) is far nicer for most of us than a dog, the science is similar. It generates the calming feel-good hormone oxytocin which adds to the enjoyment of "sensuality". In stress situations, a therapy dog has very sensitive smell for human cortisol which is the stress hormone when we are under stress. Dogs can also detect low blood sugar levels in diabetics and often have warned their humans to wake up or amazing other things, even detecting cancer in some patients and even if not trained can act alarmingly - pawing etc - on a part of the body that has cancer growing. In stress situations (waiting long lines at an airport or testifying in court about sexual abuse, for example), oxytocin counter acts the cortisol. But even without stress, it can be released as in nice massage or just when petting a dog or cat. Medically, the peptide hormone oxytocin is produced in the hypothalamus and released into the circulatory system and the brain in response to sensory stimulation via a network of OT-containing nerves.

Most convenient area of TO for hobbyists?
Dave in Phoenix replied to JessyCeleste's topic in Escort Discussion for Toronto
I know this is old thread but my 2 cents worth ($USD) is for more than a decade I have avoided the traffic, parking and general traffic mess of downtown area (my view only). However, if you don't rent a car of course downtown makes more sense. For my next trip I got a major car rental - mid-size - at the airport for about $CDN350 for 10 days- using Priceline many months in advance. I always stay in Mississauga closer to what I prefer for MP (nude-reverse) the good full contact strip clubs (thanks to Ms Hazel when Mayor in her 90's), and now after C36 the zillions of incalls around Square One/Airport/Brampton area. I get great hotel deals by Priceline bidding many months in advance. Typically pay about $55CDN (lessor in $US) for 10-14 days at Courtyard's, Novetel (been lucky to get nicer rooms but parking garage very tight and $13/night parking!) and many other hotels with normal rates via discount sites over $100/night. Staying around this area avoids the 401 mess (although have used and sometimes the 407 to bypass). But for me, am totally dedicated to stay outside the downtown area but as a guy customer which may be different than an adult entertainer since probably lots more potential customers downtown. -
Memory lane - I was there in 1999 and the Marble Arch. If I recall correctly (maybe not) the way they got around the no contact rule in the B.C. ABC requirements was the door going upstairs was technically a hotel so you were doing legal outcall going to "your" room. But my memory is faded. Some of the dancers were actually entertaining. Usually I have no interest in gwacking at dancers but only interested in contact laps. However, this is from my 1999 report from Number 5: The choreography, athletic ability and "show" of the dancers was actually very good. One cute gal was in a Captains outfit doing a Love Boat routine. Another was very athletic doing naked hand walking across the stage and really using good muscle control sliding her nude body on the pole and doing a head stand etc. These were really good dancers dong more than just teasing and thrusting their lips at men from the stage. Number 5 and Marble Arch also had roaming massage gals one of which actually gave great neck and shoulder massages I noted. Ever since then I avoided Vancouver since very restrictive at strip clubs, and the MP and SP scene very expensive. For escorts fell in love with Victoria (when all the incalls were in Saanich before the sheriff moved them to downtown Victoria. But for strip clubs and what I enjoy the most - nude reverse MP - nothing could beat then the Niagara Falls and Mississauga strip clubs (thanks Ms Hazel 90 yr old ex-mayor) and the MPs in Sauga which is still my favorite adult activity in Canada. As everyone has indicated, however, things have changed. The clubs use to be full contact but no penetration which following the old Supreme Court ruling from a Montreal case ruling strip clubs not brothels as long as no penetration. But now it's more about more extra's pressure often from dancers, although I still enjoy just contact laps at many of the Sauga clubs. Niagara Falls still has the great Sundowner, but my favorite club now closed except on weekends and business has been steadily declining over the last 10 years for the reasons others have noted.

Filmore's has had mixed reviews for decades. Parking can be a problem, pay at lot next door and no parking on street after 6PM. Some don't think its that safe of an area at night. I prefer to stay out of Toronto city because of their more restrictive bylaw than Mississauga clubs. I also don't like all the traffic downtown so much prefer the Sauga area... of course then there is the 401 often a traffic mess everywhere as the world's busiest freeway.

Looking for massage close to Airport

Depends on your definition of GFE. I was amoung the first to use the term on the alt.sex.prostitution newsgroup with 300 baud packet readers before there were websites. It meant an intimate caring real interaction for the moment. It has nothing whatsoever to do with illegal (in U.S.) risky sex acts like some have made it perverted to mean. Massage places do not sell sex acts, but yes, I regard most of my experiences as GFE using the original definition. -

Depends on what you mean by "girlfriend" I was one of the first to use GFE on the alt.sex.prostitution newsgroup with 300 baud readers before there were websites. It meant caring intimacy for the moment, a real connection. It had nothing to do with illegal (in U.S.) sex acts or high risk or any sex acts. It has been hijacked since then to be sex acts which was never the original meaning. Now, no there are not sex acts paid for at nude-reverse massage places, however yes I usually regard it as like a girlfriend for the moment. -
Strip Clubs in Markham
Dave in Phoenix replied to iluvmuffins's topic in Stripclub Discussions for Toronto
Depends on level of contact you want. Varies but somewhat limited within Toronto due to city licensing bylaw. Mississauga has most of the clubs some of us enjoy much more if want to do more than drink and stare. No bylaw issue thanks to dear former abt 90 year old mayor Hazel. Likewise good clubs in Niagara but none of the clubs as good as 10 years ago since so many other options now. -

For the last 15 years I usually land at Pearson and head for Club Two Mountains. Have always had great luck for the type of massage I enjoy. SRM and the zillions of other clubs mostly in Mississauga "Sauga" I do very careful selection of women from sites. I also only do nude-reverse (thanks to retired abt 90 yr-old Helen mayor) since I love doing Esalen reverse as much as receiving. BTW the last two years (latest May 2015) their hours sign on door said close at 3PM which should be 3AM. Wonder if they changed it by now. I showed them their sign in 2014 and 2015 since they were amazed it said closed at 3PM.
