  1. "Ignoring the realities of people who have actual experience working in the sex trade in favour of adopting a position that is rooted in ideology and based on widely discredited research is grossly dehumanizing." Thank you for starting this post, Emily J. It affects not only sex workers, but employees in general. In both cases they tend not to report it, because in both cases their jobs are at stake. We all know someone from our day jobs that went through this. And it's time for a change. Stakes are obviously higher, and more perilous, for a sex worker. Celine Bissette brings it home in a way that clearly illustrates the shortcomings of the Nordic Model. If the client is punished, for the victim, it's a long series of interviews, taped statements, subpoenas, court dates, remands....for years. The probability of conviction is low. If she keeps working, and has multiple assaults, and court cases , her credibility drops. Deals are made out of court, the perp gets off with probation, and he's back out. Here we go again. With laws of protection, the probability of this happening is greatly reduced. Terri Jean and her cohorts did not fight for anti-client legislation. They fought for sex worker safety. It bamboozles me how politicians, lawmakers, and suits make decisions for the people they have never bothered to meet with. The inconvenient truth is that it is distasteful for politicians, legislators, and suits to gain consensus amongst us, even though we are fucking them.
  2. Coconut oil is very versatile - hair, skin, food.....wow! A treat is to keep it in the fridge on a hot summer day and serve cold on the skin. It melts very quickly with this wonderful cooling sensation. Then it adsorbs quickly after about 5 mins. .....now to get to those hot summer days! :)
  3. I stack it on an MP3 and use speakers. Symbion Project, Enigma, Robbie Robertson, Bryan Ferry, Eminem, Beethoven.... Nine Inch Nails (to strip by.....);)
  4. Hi there, This is an old story, and I like to think it's about spiritual transformation. I thought that you would like it. The Touch of the Masters Hand Twas battered and scarred, and the auctioneer thought it scarcely worth his while to waste much time on the old violin, but held it up with a smile; "What am I bidden, good folks," he cried, "Who'll start the bidding for me?" "A dollar, a dollar"; then two!" "Only two? Two dollars, and who'll make it three? Three dollars, once; three dollars twice; going for three.." But no, from the room, far back, a gray-haired man came forward and picked up the bow; Then, wiping the dust from the old violin, and tightening the loose strings, he played a melody pure and sweet as caroling angel sings. The music ceased, and the auctioneer, with a voice that was quiet and low, said; "What am I bid for the old violin?" And he held it up with the bow.A thousand dollars, and who'll make it two? Two thousand! And who'll make it three? Three thousand, once, three thousand, twice, and going and gone," said he. The people cheered, but some of them cried, "We do not quite understand what changed its worth." Swift came the reply: "The touch of a master's hand." And many a man with life out of tune, and battered and scarred with sin, Is auctioned cheap to the thoughtless crowd, much like the old violin, A"mess of pottage," a glass of wine; a game - and he travels on. "He is going" once, and "going twice, He's going and almost gone." But the Master comes, and the foolish crowd never can quite understand the worth of a soul and the change that's wrought by the touch of the Master's hand. Myra 'Brooks' Welch
  5. I don't do erotic massage, but for bound up muscles and soft skin, garden variety Lubriderm Unscented is quite nice. It is non greasy, adsorbs quickly, and seems to retain that moist feel for 24 hours. For truly dry, scaly, this-is-not-me skin, such as dry heels and elbows, you can find a product called Melkfett in European food stores. It's by Ombra. It is extremely oily, and you only need a bit, and it will last 6 months. It contains calandula and other ingredients, and if you are exercising outdoors a thin layer is nice on the face.
  6. As in all things, there are people that read and hear what they want to, and assume automatically that good looks get you free fries, or a ticket to the Jays game with VIP seats, or a BBBJ. (But not all at once. Ketchup in your hair smells like a chip stand at the CNE.) I don't understand why a BBBJ is so important. There are things that can be done with a man's body that hasn't even got names yet. And rightfully so. A Ducati is a great bike! Everybody loves Ducatis. But if all you do is Ducatis, each and every time you ride, over and over, you might secretly covet a midnighter on a Black Shadow. But Vincent types are not what the boys on ERB are talking about, so back you go. Funny how they never write about pegging, or nipple sucking, or licking the armpit, or biting behind the neck, or a 1000 other uniquely erotic inventions for the lover in all of us. They really should watch Fight Club more often. Don't wear another man's name on your underwear, and don't love a woman like you're told. Anyway. They say that a BBBJ feels better, but realistically, with a blindfold (one of my very favorite flavours), most people can't tell the difference between bar mixes. The reason that they will never do a BBBJ with a blindfold is because its a thrill. It's like screaming 200 kmph on the 401, sweating bullets, and sure, sorta, you are immortal, and it's your life. My evil twin wants to mutter that if you want a thrill, there are providers just itching to try some surprises that even Tyler Durden hadn't thought of. If - and this is a big if - you go off the grid and let her show you paradise. Yes or no? An opinion - hopefully an educated one. I liked FortunateOne's commentary that it's really for the client to confirm the escort's preferences - "safe" is a pretty straightforward word. Trusting us to make it matter is our job. Thanks for listening to my rant!
  7. Thank you for this thread. I love to go out on a lake or ocean late at night and watch the stars. Sometimes I will see a satellite, or shooting stars, or even the aurora borealis. I went night fishing in Wales once, and the water lit up.
  8. There are several ways to have transactions with someone else without revealing your name. Paypal is a good one, and although they charge 2.9%, it is totally anonymous. Western Union means knowing the providers name, but I have heard of her using a middle name married name etc. to get around this. You can also do an interac transfer to an email address. And then there is the loaded credit card. These are best suited for big transactions, such as if you have an arrangement. When it gets really big, get a safety deposit box and keep filling it! The big issue for the provider is declaring where that money comes from. My accounts are set up for purchasing items. To be perfectly honest its no big deal. If someone wants to dodge taxes, that's one thing, But if this is declared by the provider - perhaps under a different title - she also gets access to a lot of benefits. So, you bought some harmless things on Paypal from me -no big deal.
  9. I am new to the business, and I found this discussion fascinating. Based on experience, a client can get one thing accomplished, and one thing only. Near as I can tell, there is no time for hi how are you, never mind taking a shower. And bringing a pizza is almost certainly out of the question. My concern is another - when you drop the price on a luxury, I have seen it attract a certain "type", and that type is not gentlemanly. The other concern is that when you have men coming with frequency, it's going to raise some eyeballs. You don't get to 2-hr minimums overnight, but I would be very cautious about 900 seconds! ;)
  10. It is an interesting option for incalls in an area where lunch is likely to be busy. As a newbie, I would have to give it more thought in terms of whether it works for me as a person, or as some might say, the brand.
  11. Every time I walk past Capezio, I am grappled by a massive hand that thrusts me inside the door and forces me to buy pair after pair. "It's genuine leather!" "They will last you forever!""I want them too!" and then it comes down to a battle of the unmaxed cards. I have a pair of knee highs in back leather - high leather heels. Bad bad girls making good girls look badder still.
  12. I read an article that quoted a female Police supervisor saying that virtually every condo and apartment building in Toronto has a provider. Somehow, they manage to keep the peace, despite everyone's fears and police interventions. It's been operating like this for a very long time. All the new laws need to do is protect the sp's working in these buildings and homes.
  13. My dear Cinelli, what a pleasure! Please allow me, if you will, an alternate point of view with respect to FortunateOne's post, A CBJ is not a "whim", an eccentricity, or something to negotiate. It goes a long way to protecting you, your escort, your SO's, and anyone else you contact. Lots of guys say that it is nominal risk, that life is a risk; that the stuff is curable, and oh heck we're all gonna die anyway, and, finally, who's dollar is it anyway? Good! Plenty of providers subscribe to this. And then there are those of us who don't, which, on reflection, I am certain that you can respect. Best Ann
  14. There are a lot of messages in the author's article. The biggest skew is the fact that it's about Americans. Americans only need a whiff of sex work to condemn. I think it stems from the Puritans. They really like shaming. Seriously, who really cares what Suzy Favor Hamilton does in her spare time? Exciting, yes - bad, no. Even the gangbangers sound like a bunch of old women - "Bros before hos" sounds like a gay rave anthem. From what I have seen, commentary about a similar article by Canadians and the English tends to be a lot more supportive - most notably, from other women! We love our gals and guys. If you think sex work is disgusting, try being humiliated in front of peers, screamed at, falsely accused of theft, and routinely having your job threatened for not being available 18/7. Every day, every week, every month, on and on. I will leave you with this thought. A dental student I met said that, by his 4th year, he was $200,000 in debt. No job. No equipment. I have heard similar statements from law students. And just in case you wanted to do a Harvard MBA, that's a cool $750,000. Now you know why Zuckerberg quit! For the gentry, who want their kids in a house and not an apartment, the average house in Toronto is now over $500,000. Minimum wage ain't gonna cut it. God bless all of you - hugs
  15. Hmmm. A visit to the doctor for blood tests every 3-6 months could potentially result in a 3-6 month backlog of people that the Health Department has to call on your behalf. This will not look good on a resume. In Vegas. England, etc. the trip to the doctor is made once a month, if not more often (I have heard of once a week). My MD is very supportive, and once a month - or less - is no problem. I personally would be very cautious about a new client demanding BBBJ's during the first few visits. It's not the only fun with your gun. I want to have a limited number of clients and let things evolve. Besides, there are some very creative and salacious activities one can enjoy with a covered cap......but that's another thread! Cheers, Ann
  16. Hello, I am new at this, and would like to host a downtown Toronto incall in a good hotel, themed to introductions (i.e., Meet Ann). I'm mature (see my profile) Your support - and participation ! are appreciated. Feel free to PM me too. ....is a one nighter appropriate? ....any suggestions or ideas in terms of advertising? I heard that Backpage can be dodgy. ....which hotels are supportive? ....any other advice, suggestions and/or links are appreciated. With thanks Ann
  17. I'm 5' 7 1/4", and describe myself as 5'7". In heels, I am pushing 6 feet. But then, I'm not always vertical, am I?
  18. Hi there, I'm sure many of us have been to the restaurant where the server asks if they should bring change, or returns with a stack of small bills and change. It's another way to squeeze out a tip. Now it's possible, even on a queenly amount, that the client expects change, and when he doesn't get it, he's possibly - just possibly - going to get a bit of a sour impression. If we were paid by credit card, transfer, or whatever, it would be the exact amount. Why should things be different for cash? He may very well wave the change and say it's yours, but that's his call. Easy enough to keep a few fivers around to solve any potential misunderstandings
  19. We could have done many things with our lives. What we chose was love, both to give, and to receive. Surely we are blessed!
  20. Interesting discussion. I don't know much, but I am aware that all over the GTA, businesses that used to be solid are being undercut drastically. I have heard of providers who won't come to Toronto because the rates are dropping. This is a business, but it is also one of relationships, as pointed out. There is a big difference between a provider who enjoys the company and her work, as opposed to someone compelled to grab the cash at $80/hr or less. Personally (here we go) I get very nervous when I hear of providers working like this, but not because they hurt my business per se. My greater concern is that they are being forced, and this should in fact be everyone's concern.
  21. Hypothetically speaking, of course, as you know, PayPal is used to process debit and credit card transactions. The payer would provide something tangible, and provides a receipt indicating that it was received in good order, no refunds. This happens all the time on eBay. There is both a CC fee and a PayPal fee, which is a consideration. However it is a way to get clients to commit and pay in advance. This works well on larger transactions, and with someone you trust. It does not work so well on smaller transactions, or someone who is a PITA, because they may haggle over the PayPal refund. The signed receipt may offer some recourse, but as usual, it's the small amounts that are the biggest problem. I am exploring less tenuous CC methods. You can also use Interac Internet Transfer, which is instant and anonymous. I am also exploring alternate payment methods, such as cc's and bitcoin. Retailers have known for years that if you offer these services, you can make a bigger sale. Don't forget however that whereever there is a trail, our good friends at CRA are right behind us. A transaction of +$10,000CAD is a red flag. Be prepared to explain any trails on your income tax.
