my daughter is trying hard to reconnect with her mom. tonight I get the call to pick my daughter up from her moms. My daughter says she is in danger. I go there not knowing if again the cops are there or what the situation is. My daughter gets into the truck and tells me her 60 year old uncle grabbed her and shook her and yelled at her. Her mother threatened to destroy the laptop I got my daughter for Christmas and broke some of my daughters belongings. My daughter is 17 so nothing I can do but pick up the pieces each time. My daughter is in a classic abusive situation and keeps returning to it expecting a different result. I try and try to get her to call the police to get this abuse to stop but she says next time she will. What she does not realize is doing nothing means the next time can and often is worse then the last. I know from personal experience having being in an abusive situation you really only realize how bad it is after your out. I have talked to my daughters counselor and her school about this. My hands are tied. I cannot stop her from going and anything I do can only make it worse. My daughter needs to know I am there for her when she calls. And all I can do is pray she figures this out before she is even more hurt. I would love to go and fix the situation myself but I know that would end up with me being charged. So hands are tied and I am mad as heck and so sad for my poor little girl I called the police, they want her to at least talk to them about it and will do nothing unless she wants them to. but at least they have a record for the next time. and told me to let her family doc know and her school. I will do all of that tomorrow for her. and I put my foot down no more visits to her moms during the week and i will talk to her about weekends latter depending on what the school and doc say

I think of it as the Paradox of choice. We as men have so many choices. It can make it very difficult for anyone to actually make a choice and not have us inquire and then inquire about someone else and then someone else and increasingly it becomes difficult to actually make and stick to a decision. I have made a date only to see a few minutes latter another one come up that I think I might have wanted to have instead. I now take my time to book and typically book long in advance after a great deal of thought. I have a list of individuals I hope one day to spend sometime with. That list changes all the time but a few remain on the list and these enduring ones are the ones I am more apt to see. Because its when I am spontaneous that I am most apt to suffer the paradox of choice.

4100 on my 1994 GMC truck. I had the front end totally redone and also brand new tires on it. The truck is in darn good shape and even with 4100 spent it is sure cheaper then buying a new truck.

I play freecell. Years back I worked with a lady that told me every game was winnable. She taught me how to play. She started at game one and would win that and on to game two. Every day she would get closer and closer to the end. She did in 2008 and never got to the end. To this day I play 20 or so games of it each day and omg I sure think of my friend. She was a very special lady. Every day we would email back and forth many many times. At her funeral I net her other friend who was a lady and turns out she also emailed our mutual friend every day all the time. Sharing bits and pieces of each others lives and helping support each other. Well we got to talking and sure enough started to carry on the email exchange but this time between each other. I have been through 3 child births and two divorces with her and she has been through the birth of 2 children and 3 marriages with me. We see each other maybe once every 2-3 years but exchange emails daily

I saw a picture of my second son today. He posted a pic of him and his new girlfriend on facebook. I was able to read her page and am happy he is seeing a smart lady who loves animals. He is 23 years old and I have not heard from him in going on 4 years. Seeing him was just so special. Omg I miss my son. Growing up him and I where always so close. I pray one day he reach's out to me. For now I downloaded the pic in case he changes it and its gone.

miracle of miracle my daughter made baked noodles and cheese. I ate it and it was not to bad this time lol
