I'd have to agree with RoamingGuy. It seems interesting in theory, but may be a disaster in practice and could lead to a series of systematic abuse. The whole idea is bizarre. Why get married if it is only for 5 years? Why not just cohabitate then? A marriage is meant to be 'till death do us part (or 'till we get divorced). In addition to RG's concerns about divided families, there are legal ramifications to consider. One of they key legal issues with marriage is the division of assets along with the obligation to take care of one's partner by providing and maintaining a lifestyle they are accustomed to. In a fixed-term marriage arrangement, the ''escape clause'' (if I can call it that) after 5 years would IMO legally necessarily have to involve a waiver of the right to spousal support. Otherwise, it can be disastrous. Now I realize that even today there are many cases out there of failed marriages within the first few years, and one partner sees nothing wrong with seeking spousal support forever (I am not criticizing child support; I view that as a different and legitimate claim). It seems to me that the concept of the fixed-term contract (like any marriage contract) is to afford an early escape if it is not working out without having to carry the other person financially. Think about it: Anyone can get divorced at any time. The fixed-term marriage contract would simply be a trick to avoid the financial repercussions of a divorce as the law surrounding marriage contracts as it stands now does not allow for a complete clean-break from a spouse. Perhaps the author of the thesis was trying to suggest legislative reform.

I think there are gentlemen out there that would enjoy a cuddles only date. Someone who wants some gentle affection, but does not feel comfortable with nudity or beyond because of their family situation.

Right Mr. Boone. I do not expect many guys on cerb would be posting pics to show-off or boast. We leave that to the ladies who have such beautiful faces and hot bodies. If you were doing internet dating, you would exchange pictures before meeting, right? So what's the big deal? But I will respect someone's preference if they don't want to receive a picture. Their choice. I don't think you should take down your pictures, especially if it is in a private album. Someone I had seen a few times recently asked to take my photo. Is this appropriate and would you object? If you are not comfortable having your picture taken, how would you respond (what words would you choose - I'm curious).

Thanks Mia for the insights. You raise a good point about how it would be perceived by the recipient. I was thinking more about a fully clothed picture, perhaps a swim suit shot if the guy feels comfortable in his skin. I was just thinking that a picture is a way to introduce yourself a bit to the other person. I was not suggesting that you have to be really good looking or bodybuilder fit to send a pic. We look how we look. There should never be any shame or embarrassment for anyone IMO. And certainly beauty is in the eye of the beholder. With regards to OlderGuy's post: what are the ladies' thoughts on disclosing height, weight and age in an introduction. I would think age may be an issue for some ladies (wanting to ensure a certain maturity, not that an 18 year old can't be mature and respectful and all. Just saying...) But I'm seeing that some ladies would rather not have a picture or any stats at all, so I'm glad I asked.

So is anyone in Ottawa offering a cuddles only service (i.e. they are not an escort or MA and only offering a snuggle)?

Got a hug from a child at a Christmas play today. Warm fuzzy feelings. -
Last year, the premises of certain Ottawa MA location was attended by the police. No doors were busted open, no disturbances. They knocked on the door, asked permission to come in and check things out to make sure it was safe, clean and no human trafficking. If those criteria are met, LE walks away. I do not see the amendments to the Criminal Code changing that approach and do not subscribe to paranoia or hysteria. If there have been cases where LE breached a premises, it should not have been done and any charges laid proposed by LE would have been dropped by the Crown prosecutor. I understand what Rubjunky is saying though about being named if LE crosses the line.

Handing out cards is still being done. A few months ago, a youthful developmentally disabled man approached my 72 year old father in a Tim Horton's and gave him a handwritten card, stating explicitly that he was offering (you know what). Poor dad almost had a second stroke. He felt sooooo bad because of this youth's age and his disability, and the look of desparation to earn a buck. This is really sad. Perhaps under C-36 a card and a verbal pitch may be some form of advertising and, in Harper's view, deserve incarceration. Let us censor everyone. Yeay! -

I prefer it when a lady's profile is feature on a website, but it is not a prerequisite and doesn't in any way affect her credibility or how amazing she can be. It just helps get a sense of who she is. I suppose a cerb profile can do the same. I think Lady Sophia is right that the perception is that LE will not put the effort in creating a fake website, but we never know for sure. Now back to this naked twister: how many players can we have at once? -
Ever see your dog eat his own doodoo? You lose all interest when they come with kisses...

Thanks Gwen for the insights. Although now I feel a bit self-conscious about smell, taste and touch... Not that I believe I ever have BO, and I brush, floss and listerine all the time. :icon_wink: Oh, and now I know that you wear socks and like your brain tickled. I look forward to meeting you tomorrow night at CMJ... But seriously, would ladies on here prefer to have guys post pics of themselves in a private album they can see, or does it really not matter one bit? (seeing as most of the time it's a surprise as he knocks on the door) Just curious, that's all.

We are so very lucky to have such beautiful ladies on cerb posting hot pictures in their albums. I am wondering if the ladies on here would like to get a look at the guys before they meet them... Has any guy (other than male MA's) posted pics of themselves on here or sent them by PM? Now that would be some serious screening. (ahah and I'm not suggesting any lady wants a disgusting penis pic... ) Maybe some ladies will say 6'' and under and no six-pack abs - need not apply. :icon_wink:

Yes, I plead guilty to highjacking. Sorry OP. Back to panties: What is you favorite colour? I am a fan of bright pink myself. Although I am amused by the idea of having a pair of panties as a souvenir or trophy, I am not really a panty sniffer (not that I'm judging anyone who does). I've had a hot girl take off her panties and stuff them in my mouth once, but I can't say it's something I would want to do on a regular basis. To each their own. Enjoy the panties!

Haha. Now that's interesting. (No, not the photo of Boone's ass) I wonder if the ladies on here would like to get a look at the guys before they meet them. Now that would be some serious screening. Has any guy posted pics of themselves? Maybe some ladies will say 6'' and under and no six-pack abs - need not apply. :icon_wink:

I am grateful to our Creator for designing women with such beautiful bodies (and souls) and for giving us the tools to enjoy said bodies (and souls). Like Adam, I gladly gave up my rib to do my part. :icon_wink: -
I think we're getting there and the thread is unraveling and the universe is unfolding as it should. Are you concerned that LE will actually bust down a locked door?

Yes, I second the motion. Meaghan should get undressed. :icon_wink: -
Rubjunky: I agree that we should be vigilant and conduct a screening of our own by verifying recommendations, reviews and reputation. I also agree that from a practical standpoint, your personal situation (family, job, etc.) may be such that the mere fact of being arrested or being named in public is problematic. I share your concerns for privacy. That being said, the point I was making earlier is the distinction between open public spas that you can just walk-in vs. private members clubs (i.e. CMJ) or private locations (indies at their residence). The police have not and will not be entering private locations with force and without notice, even with a warrant. It would be a violation of police protocol to do so and they know it. So we're not talking about rights vs. reality here. If you're still picturing cops with battering rams, you've been watching too much Law and Order. IMO, if you go to public spas, you have always (both before the new law and even today) assumed the risk of being arrested or outed, albeit very rare and difficult for LE to do. The mere fact of being in a spa is not a crime, so as long as you're not caught with your pants down -- literally -- you should be ok. Your name will not be made public simply because you were there. If you are worried you have too much to lose (and I understand and respect that), then perhaps it is not worth the risk and you could just stick with private indies or private clubs. This is one of the reasons I have not been to public spas. I honestly think the biggest risk is undercover LE (which I understand is pretty rare). Private clubs avoid such risks, especially in light of the manner in which you compensate the ladies for their time. You will not find a hot female officer undercover that will take off her clothes, offer to shower with you and more without any discussion of $. My experience has been that private clubs operate on a no $ discussed and pay at the end approach (you leave the club's established donation + tip in the room; no words spoken). Also, the club's reputation and hiring practices ensure that you won't have undercover LE. IMO, with indies, you should make sure they are established, have recos and someone you can reasonably trust vouching for them. And now I'm rambling like RoamingGuy...

Perhaps ladies can hand out their ''tart cards'' at the next cerb social. :icon_lol: The name ''tart'' seems a bit degrading to me. -
