What is going on out there?
WealthyCowboy replied to Sylvia Star's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Massage
I think LE's biggest obstacle to enforce the law in a strip club private room setting (in addition to obtaining a warrant) would be trying to prove money was actually exchanged. If I were caught doing that (which I don't), I would just insist that the stripper is my girlfriend (as dumb as that may sound) and that I did not pay her. I know this sounds silly, but if there is no actual evidence of money exchanged, the test for establishing the criminal offence is not established. It does happen on occasion that a stripper's SO or a friend are at the club. -

I think you and Lady Sophia are on the right track: you could simply ask what the rate is for an hour of their time. How you spend that time will be up to you. Perhaps you'll play scrabble over a cup of tea. -

In response to RiddlerMan's post: I agree that the term ''sexual services'' is very broad. It makes me laugh, like when Bill Clinton was trying to define the term ''sexual relations'' with respect to Monica Lewinski. IMO, the new legislation does not practically apply to strip clubs with respect to lap dances and such. These are licensed establishments and it would be very difficult to enforce. Sure, if a stripper is offering to do a guy in a VIP room (which seems to be more and more available these days; not that I participate in this), there could be a criminal offence there but LE would not have the right to just bust in the private room without a warrant (which may prove difficult to obtain). That being said, I have never heard of any legal case in Canada on that issue. Am I wrong? Has anyone ever heard of LE going into a strip club and actually arresting folks? -
new prostitution bill
WealthyCowboy replied to VedaSloan's topic in Legal discussion, cases & questions
The response from the Ottawa Sun seems very ignorant to me. IMO, the ads before and after the legislation came into force were completely legal. Are they suggesting that the term escort now must be construed as implying selling sexual services? This is all nonsense. -

Cellphone privacy at issue in Supreme Court ruling tomorrow
WealthyCowboy replied to roamingguy's topic in In the news
Ice4fun is right that the SCC decision clarifies that having a password does not change anything when it comes to LE's right to gather evidence. What matters is the manner and context in which it is obtained by LE. I do not believe (unfortunately) that wiping one's phone will permanently delete all data, logs, etc. It is my understanding that LE, especially the RCMP and CSIS, has technology to revive the information. Also, internet companies have information available. The key is making sure the communications are not explicit. Btw, another point to consider is that even if LE arrests you, searches your device and finds incriminating evidence (password or not), it is always up to the Crown prosecutors to decide if you will be charged and with what. There is a common misconception out there that LE press charges. It's actually up to the Crown lawyers. So if the case is frivolous, I doubt they would even bother bringing forward a case simply because one guy met up with a gal for an hour. As long as there is no human trafficking or under the age of majority, I think you'll get a pass or at worst a pre-charge diversion program. -

WealthyCowboy replied to roamingguy's topic in In the news
I agree with Boomer that if you are arrested, you don't give them your password. Just say you want a lawyer and shut up. A lawyer may be able to get you off without any charges and before LE has a chance to search the device. If you are not under arrest, then get the hell out of there as soon as possible. You do not have any obligation to speak to LE at all, EVER. Stay silent like you are a mute. The only exception is to identify yourself when stopped by an officer (i.e provide your licence, etc.). If they already have a specific warrant in place, they'll take your phone/computer and get the info/force you to disclose you password. But being arrested will not in and of itself give them the right to access the info on your device, and I seriously do not believe they will even consider getting a warrant just because you are trying to see someone. The Court case being cited in the article had nothing to do with this industry. The privacy issues perhaps fall into our interests, but IMO (as it relates to this industry) it would only be an issue if you are arrested doing something else illegal and they add on an extra charge. -

My understanding is that LE has the technology to copy that information from your phone or laptop without a password and in addition, can get a Court Order to obtain passwords (they can compell you to disclose) and get further information from the internet company. Information may still be available even if you deleted all messages, logs and history. But IMO, you shouldn't have anything to hide if you are responsible in your communications. There is nothing unlawful in booking time with a business. Just don't be explicit in calls or texts. -

The preacher man as an escort - now that would be something... Perhaps if he had to walk in their shoes (or skirt). Would be funny to see him in drag. And I bet his pitch is not the only thing he does in 8 minutes or less. -
My dog had a wet fart on my duvet cover last night and left a stain! Not cool. Was cold all night.

Loneskater: I believe the thread you are referring to dealt with specifically trying to get more of the CMJ girls to come to the east end location more often and not suggesting there aren't really enough MA's in the east end. There are plenty. -

Competition may encourage better service from those already in the industry, but the newbies may not be as enthusiastic. IMO, a change in supply and demand could encourage some (not all) newbies who are not established and don't have a book of business to become hustlers (out of desparation) and bring discredit to the industry. It's sad to say, but it's true. The downside would be having some amazing ladies leave the industry because their slice of the pie has shrunk and it is hard to make a good living. I am not sure that is the case though. Every market has it's ups and downs. And when one is down, another is up. Honestly, if the market is flooded with many new attractive options, many existing businesses would feel it. Even if the lady has the looks and all the right moves, some regulars may reduce the frequency of their visits to see someone else because it is tempting. Once a week can become once every two or three weeks and the lady's income stream drops. When I find someone I like, I tend to stick with them. -

WealthyCowboy replied to Sylvia Star's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Massage
For me, the new legislation will not impact the frequency of my visits, but will impact my choice in who I will see. I foresee sticking with the same ladies I know for the next few months (and also because I like them so much). I would certainly be more vigilant in looking up anyone new (reviews, reputation, etc.). I think this new legislation may make it more difficult for those starting out in this business, although I know alot of guys like ''the new girl''. It may be just me, but I believe there are more ladies in Ottawa than before. Either that or I am getting more frisky in my dirty thirties... :icon_wink: -

I'm sure it's a combination of things like Meaghan said. Another lady I know has told me the same thing - it's slow for some. I add seasonal illness to the list as I had the flu for 2 weeks and know of a few others, so I'm sure it is going around again. Also, some guys in the business sector are putting in extra hours to meet year's end and to arrange time off during the holidays. Hopefully, Sylvia, you've been a good girl this year and your regulars will give you some generous Christmas $ gifts and tips. -

Etiquette Question - Tipping
WealthyCowboy replied to Incognito's topic in New to this? Things you should know...
I respectfully and humbly disagree with some of what Deepstrut is saying, although I understand his comments very well. I realize that the basis of the arrangement is money. That being said, my interactions have not been devoid of human sentiments. Now I am not naive in thinking that the ladies don't want to be compensated. I think almost everyone wants to earn as much $ as possible, regardless of the industry. But it just doesn't sit right with me that because a woman is in this industry, they cannot enjoy a non-monetary gift or that gifts can't have a personal (yet neutral) touch that they could still bring home and be unnoticed by family or SO. I guess the answer is that every woman in this industry is different. Some will want strictly $ and others will appreciate anything received, and all of that is ok. It's a personal preference based on their situation. My thought is that I would like the gift to be memorable and a reflection of me. Perhaps in am in left field, but when it comes to MA's I would be more willing to offer a $ gift higher than the average guy so as to stand out and to be remembered. This is more in line with what Conquistador was saying earlier in this thread. The rule seems to be: know the lady and know thyself. -
Do we need more MA's in Ottawa East End?
WealthyCowboy replied to someguy's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Massage
I suppose that some ladies could get a lift, shuttle or a ride-share among them, but I foresee the biggest issue being their availability and, especially during igloo season, not wanting the commute to take away their working time (could be 3 hours round trip). We must be considerate to their lives as well - can't get greedy with those buns, however nice they may be. FYI, with regards to my previous posts in this thread, something has been brought to my attention. For those interested, CMJ's sister outfit Touch of Euphoria seems to offer a mobile massage. I understand it's not the solution for those who want the spa experience, the donation is slightly higher and only some of the CMJ girls are available, but it may be a solution if you want an east end experience with a CMJ hostess outside the spas. I've also been told that Touch of Euphoria employs ex-CMJ girls and also that some of the CMJ girls that are not listed on TOE's website may agree to a mobile massage (come to you) if you request an appointment in advance (and are feeling generous). If you're looking for a west end CMJ girl to meet up with you in the east end, this may be an option. You'd have to inquire. My impression is that CMJ is very accomodating to our wacky ideas. Isn't life great? :-) -
haha, awesome. You already have a Dane. Such big hearts they have. I have a weimar myself. Clingy and needy creatures they are. I was saying the online dating thing because IME it is not that difficult to reach some level of affection with a date. Not saying you'll go home with a total babe like those in this industry every night. This is one of the reasons I'm here - I like variety and casual connections - which are not as easy to find out there, even if you have all the right moves and looks. Keep the faith

If ''Just Cuddles'' is what you're after, just get a dog Mavericks and you'll get all the cuddles you can handle. May I suggest a Great Dane or a Dalmatian? They weigh as much as some humans and have a soft coat. But if you want more than just cuddles for free (and from a woman), just try online dating. You'd be surprised at what you can find. Just my opinion and don't want to be rude here. Just saying. Stay positive
