  1. What does it mean to be at 'home'? http://lovely-nathalie.com/blog/
  2. Nathalie L

    I absolutely love this photograph.
  3. I've already mentioned this to Angela, but I will only be there for the first hour of the social. I look forward to seeing you all there, and beware the brownie thief! You know who you are... --smirks--
  4. Happy Birthday beautiful! For some reason, every-time I think of you I smile because I think about how much I made you laugh with my post in the "Highlights of the Day" thread about my ninja poop (technically a ghost poop as per Phaedrus' correction...)!
  5. I don't think it's necessarily a silly question. A lot of people hold onto this idea that people have a limited amount of sexual and/or emotional energy in any given day. People often wonder whether SPs/MAs are using up all of this energy at work. I don't ascribe to this idea that people have a limited amount of energy, I think life is more complicated than that and our energy levels depend on a variety of factors. Try and ask this same question for other sectors of the labour market. For example, when you've had a really really draining day at work... you're completely and utterly exhausted... if you had the opportunity to have amazing, relaxing, and rejuvenating sex, would you pass it up? Without getting into too much detail, of course we have sex in our personal lives! It's incredibly rare I don't want to have sex, unless I'm sick, but even then sometimes doing something as simple as mutual masturbation or a raunchy make-out session is sex for me. There are varieties and levels of sex that require more/less energy... to me, it's all about intimacy, not necessarily aerobatic sexual positions.
  6. My highlight of the day is on its way... I'm having dinner with Tgirl-Kay, her partner, and another close friend of mine. I'm making a chicken roast with root vegetables, gravy galore, rice, cranberry sauce and I made a maple-syrup based sugar pie for dessert. --oh so good-- Jealous? You should be!
  7. I hope everything goes well. You're in my thoughts and surely in the hearts of many!
  8. Neither did I. Grad school got the best of me... Spanks for me too!
  9. Something similar to P411.com? We do have something similar on CERB (the "User Notes" I mentioned) but unfortunately not many people use it (including myself!) Maybe that would change if something like this was implemented. If I was able to fully screen and verify reference, I would be more open to the idea of using a "Last Minute Availability Tool", especially on days where I have less homework ;)
  10. Some SPs/MAs prefer pre-booking/advanced bookings for screening purposes. I require 24 hours notice from new clients in order to properly verify their information and contact their reference(s). At times, it's very difficult to reach a gentlemen's reference on short notice. If such a feature were implemented on CERB, would there be an option to opt out and/or not use it? I'm assuming so. I wouldn't want to be penalized because I never/rarely do last-minute appointments unless I have seen the gentlemen in the past. Usually in this case they know to send me an e-mail or give me a call to see if I'm available. Sometimes I am, sometimes I'm not. It depends. I suppose I'm simply worried that people will go to CERB, use the function, and never bother to see if other people have different booking mechanisms. This is especially the case for people new to CERB. How would that be mitigated? Or perhaps that wouldn't happen at all and I have nothing to be concerned about. I'm embarrassed to say I never clicked the 'calendar' tab on CERB until I read about it in this thread. Can anyone post there? Or is it only for traveling escorts who want to post what city they are in at any given time? Additional Comments: The "Last-Minute Availability Tool" would be conceivable if SP/MAs utilized the "User Notes" more; that system essentially provides a reference for the person in question. Unfortunately, it's rarely used (Guilty as charged... I rarely use it even if it's an amazing tool!)
  11. This is an uber-academicy blog post (including scholarly articles) about my most recent graduate seminar presentation. Be warned, it's jargony! The title is "Sexing Work or Sex Working?" about the nuances of love, intimacy, and the market place.
  12. Cinnamon bread with raisins, slightly overdone, with a lot of butter.
  13. This is so incredibly beautiful, Jade. It truly speaks to the multifaceted nature of our relationships... I've read your post multiple times and feel like I could have said those words myself. In fact, I've often thought them but never written them down. Thank you. You're wonderful.
  14. I'm cold. So cold. I'm sitting at my computer desk with a magic bag around my neck and another on my thighs. I've wrapped myself in the ugliest green blanket I own. I only own one green blanket, but that's a minor detail. My toes are poking out but I'm wearing wool socks, the same socks I wore to bed last night. I haven't showered yet. I sleep naked, but sometimes... in the dead of winter... I wear nothing but socks! The biggest, ugliest socks. It makes me want to have "Canadian" sex with a toque, socks, and under the blankets. I don't like breathing warm air though. It's quite the conundrum... Anyway, that's not here or now because I slept alone last night and I wasn't cold because I had my magic bags. mmm.... I'm getting warmer now... My random rant is over, I'm going to get back to that word document now... the one that holds the key to my presentation in seminar this afternoon...
  15. Gabby, thank you! Again, this made me laugh hysterically! I'm in a restaurant alone for a quick bite to eat and I made some heads turn I laughed so loud. WTF indeed!
  16. Mmm I know I recently had a tattoo done (my compass on my thigh) but I really want another one! I have the tattoo itch.
  17. I love the sound of rain. I really enjoy taking a bath in the summer while it's raining and opening the window... No music, just the sound of rain. Those have been some of the most peaceful moments of my life. Phaedrus is right though, silence is beautiful too.
  18. This thread is hilarious! Some of the posts made me snort with laughter! It reminds me of the FML website. Seeing people drive around parking lots looking for the closest possible space to the entrance makes me think "wtf". If you have two functional legs and no disabilities, just park and walk! It's such a waste of time and gas.
  19. I wrote a blog post about my Myers-Briggs personality type: http://lovely-nathalie.com/blog/ I did the test for the first time yesterday! It was super interesting to read myself into the INFJ profile :)
  20. The mothers of the world do make the best comfort food. If I go home and I'm feeling blue I ask my mother to make me fried eggs with her homefries. I never want to know how she makes those homefries... it's a heart attack waiting to happen. I --love-- homemade macaroni and cheese. Again, starches and carbs makes the best comfort food... --drools-- mashed potatoes... mmm... mmm...
  21. I marked 1/2 of my student's papers today and I have to correct the other half by Wednesday! I went to my favourite coffee shop and didn't budge for 5 hours. This evening I did most of my course preparation for the week... all in all it was a very productive day! I'm feeling proud of my accomplishments. If only I could be this productive everyday... >_<!
  22. Thank you so much for posting this documentary, Shawn! I'm quite certain I've seen it before, but at the time I wasn't an escort and it was really nice to watch it again not only with my experiences as an escort, but also my experience as an escort with clients who have (dis)abilities. At 13:42, when the client being interviewed mentions that "tonight is very important" and he has the most wonderful smile on his face I couldn't help but tear up... Sex and disability is something most people don't think about seriously. In fact, it's often brushed off as something 'impossible' and/or 'unknowable'. People with visibile/invisible (dis)abilities are often believed to be 'asexual' and not in need of love and intimacy. This is especially the case with people who have invisible disabilities (autism, down syndrome, etc)... If people with (dis)abilities are sexual, it is considered perverse, wrong, 'abnormal'... it's really sad. I love when one of the women in the documentary states that "everyone has a right to sexual expression, including those with (dis)abilities". Very true! When I screen new patrons I almost always ask whether they have any mobility issues I should know about, and/or other (dis)abilities I should be aware of. If there are, I often research the best way to ensure we both have a good time. A book that has been really helpful for me is called "The Ultimate Guide to Sex and Disability" by Miriam Kaufman, Cory Silverberg, and Fran Odette. It was referred to me by my friend, Tgirl-Kay. It's really good and I would encourage anyone interested in having pleasurable sex with someone with a visible and/or invisible (dis)ability to read it!
