  1. I've been wondering how everyone is doing these days. Myself, I was always one who found himself wandering to the different stripclubs to meet the ladies and get a few dances. Nowadays I sit at home out of fear because of the current environment. I haven't been inside any club since March and I hate to say it but I am starting not to miss it. I just said that but I also know that when the day arrives I will be back there for sure. So I am curious to know if there are others who feel the same way. Are you staying in, are you choosing other forms of entertainment, are you back in the clubs?
  2. I feel that these are dark days for the business. Given what 1963Kennedy described, I am worried about clusters. I reference the spa in Kingston that was the source of an outbreak last week. This virus is very resilient and can linger for hours in the air and days on some surfaces. I want all the clubs to survive. I have enjoyed these venues for over 30 years and I hope we can get back to some sort of normalcy. But I am not going to fool myself into thinking that normalcy will happen anytime soon. I don't know anyone on this board personally but I enjoy the posts and contributions from everyone so I hope you will stay safe and protect yourselves when venturing. Please remember, wearing a mask does not protect you, it is protecting everyone around you.
  3. I don't think the Barefax has defaulted on their lease. The owners of the building own the Barefax. That doesn't mean they will re-open, I just want to make this point for clarification. They also own the 27 club downstairs or at least they did a year ago.
  4. The first three number is the circumference around her three breasts
  5. When she falls you can see a dog in the background and he says, "What the hell are you doing". LOL
  6. I believe we are all wondering when we'll be heading back. When the clubs swing open the doors, I don't think there will be a mad rush for the stage. I am thinking about each persons circumstance and the close contact that goes on in the club. Think about the working guy who goes in once in a while for the free lunch. He can't risk the possibility of bringing the virus home and explaining where he has been to his significant other. The retired guy who is a regular at the club and then has to explain the infection to his grandkids. Then there is the young kids who go in at night to find a girlfriend (looking for love in all the wrong places) how does he explain his exposure to his parents. And the dancers who will have to weight the risks of close contact with any customer. Conclusion: I think that when the doors open, there will not be a rush. But in this forum, we are all sitting in the bleachers wondering how this will play out.
  7. "I don't relish getting a dance in a hazmat suit. Though there have been times when I wish I had worn one." This comment makes me laugh but oohh so true. If you look at the Playmate thread you will that the ownership recently reupholstered the champagne chairs and discovered a pile of used condoms stuffed behind the cushions. JEEEZZZZUSSS that makes me sick.
  8. I want to add that as we come out of this and try to imagine how government will try to minimize crowding or interaction, I think they will look at occupancy permits and probably cut the number in half temporarily. You have an occupancy permit for a maximum 200 people, now it's only 100. This does nothing about distancing in the champagne rooms but it does limit the overall revenue potential for the clubs and for that matter all businesses.
  9. I have also called the Playmate and asked if a particular dancer was working and the coat check girl said if I wanted to know I should come down and find out for myself. I have found over the years that sometimes staff will take their lead from the owners. They see the owners making BS comments about a customer to get a laugh from the staff and it becomes infectious. I have witnessed this myself. Of course the other aspect of this is that it is easy to be rude over the phone because you are not face to face. As I said earlier the owners must not take this business for granted.
  10. There has been a lot of great input on this thread and if I could add it would be that some of the people that own these clubs have had the business handed to them from their fathers (Barefax, Nuden, Playmate) and I feel that they have taken the SC business for granted. I hope they realize that this is no longer the case and if they want to continue and be successful they will have to consider the dancers, staff and customers when making everyday decisions about their respective clubs.
  11. Rent, insurance, utilities are some of the fixed costs I mentioned earlier. These liabilities have to be paid whether they are open or closed. When they finally do reopen, I believe it will take some time before the business gets back to what it was before. And it certainly wasn't booming before they had to close. I think the owners will have to have some deep pockets to carry on. And if we all think back and reflect on some of our experiences in the clubs over the years, the owners aren't exactly marketing geniuses. Overpriced drinks, cover charge to enter the champagne room, filthy bathrooms in disrepair, the owners will have to review the issues and think about how they can gain a competitive edge over the other clubs. Dealing with all this will take money and what little SC business we have here in the Ottawa region there will probably be less when it gets going again.
  12. An interesting point was made about rainy day money. When the clubs do reopen it will take some time to get back up to speed. The question is, can some of these clubs remain closed for long. There are fixed costs whether they are open or closed. They may be able to defer some of the costs but they will eventually have to be paid. It looks like this isolation may go on until the end of April. During this time the different human components may move on. The regular dancers may move on or pursue other venues, the staff might find other jobs, and the customer may take this time for self reflection and realize that their return on investment over the years has not been that profitable. What I mean by that is for the money that they have spent have they gotten good entertainment value. With that said, it goes back to the beginning of this thread and that the owners should take this oppourtunity to spruce up the place and when they do reopen they may have to be prepared to compete for customers and dancers.
  13. I hope that the owners of the clubs are taking this oppourtunity while they are shut down to look at their venue and do some cleaning and maybe splash a coat of paint on the walls. I don't think I am asking for much but this is a chance for the owners to show that they care about the customer the dancers and their business.
  14. The last few times I've been in, I haven't seen Velinda. Does anyone know where she is?
  15. Vegas has been banned from the playmate a few times before. I don't know the details but she has always found a way to get back in. As for Mia, she may also be banned but she has found a new home at pigale as of late.
  16. I was at the club a couple of weeks back and I asked one of the ladies for a dance. She is a tall slim brunette and her hair is just passed her shoulders. she has her hair done close to her head and not puffed out if you know what I mean. Spoke with an accent and said she was from Montreal. Anywayyyyssss as we were going down stairs she asked if I wanted to go in the VIP room. I didn't know there was a VIP room among the regular rooms. Have any of you been in or have seen the room? If so can you describe the layout. I know this was an attempt to upsell but I am still curious.
  17. I know that everyone wishes her well but now that Maya has moved on, who would you guys suggest as a suitable replacement?
  18. Years ago there was a dancer named Heaven who worked there. Man, she used to turn my crank. Does anyone know where she is now? is she working somewhere else? Working on another level? message me if you like. Thanks Phil
  19. I thought the ladies from the Playmate were taking their customers up there for a little private time. 300 is also owned by the Playmate owner.
  20. You summed her up by saying "quite odd". She has been dancing at the clubs around Ottawa for over twenty years now. She does tend to suggest a lot more than she delivers.
  21. Touchy Touchy Touchy I was just replying to the thread not you specifically. I always thought it was the dancer providing the mileage not the dancer. So that makes things a lot easier. You can get a bottle of water at Pigale for 4.50 and a free lunch so I would say that that is the best mileage.
  22. I feel that asking who gives the best mileage is not something that should be shared. Perceived mileage is different from person to person. Something that I might consider as high mileage might not be so high for others. I also don’t think it is fair for us to share our investment portfolio. What I mean by that is, we have spent time and money developing a comfort level with the dancers and so from a confidentiality perspective, it is not appropriate. I want you to enjoy all that the clubs have to offer but I feel that you will have to invest just like the rest of us. I personally have had a lot of fun going to the clubs and observing and then making a move to see what may develop. Over the years I have had more successes than failures but when there is a failure, I call that tuition. You learn and move on. Strip clubs today offer a unique oppourtunity. You have a chance to look at the merchandise in real life before trying it on. I say, make a plan for yourself, put some money in your pocket and see what happens. I will add one more thing here. We don’t know you and I am not asking for you to identify yourself. But I think there are two possibilities here. Either you are relatively new to the scene and so my advice above (for what it is worth) stands. If you are a veteran and you are finding yourself increasingly dissatisfied with what the dancers have to offer, then it may be time to seek higher mileage via a new vehicle.
  23. I'm not sure if that is true. When Frank sold Pigale, I'm sure there would have been a non compete clause.
