Toronto Mayor Rob Ford - Guilty
Athos replied to Jabba's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I have to agree. the elected - unelected debate is a red herring. We have to remember that the rule of law is fundamental to a democracy, and at the end of the day it has to be judges that enforce it. The minute those who make the laws, are not subject to them, we have forfeited any right to be called a democracy. The law may be an ass, but it has to apply to elected officials, as much as it applies to you and me. And this is especially so when there are specific laws enacted to govern the behaviour of our elected officials. The judge absolutely did the right thing. If the judge had prohibited Ford from running in the next election, as he had the discretion to do under the legislation, I think his decision would have been very undemocratic. But now the voters can have their say as to whether they agree with the decision in the next election. Porthos -

I've been there ... it took three missed appointments before I finally realized it was time to move on. Still full of regrets about that, years later. Porthos

Dancers often will exchange numbers with regular clients to let them know their schedule. If she can ensure that regulars are there during her shift it increases control, cuts down competition and guarantees business. I've exchanged numbers with dancers and usually kept things in the club. But I do agree it's generally not a good idea to take things outside the club. Porthos

How has Cerb changed your life
Athos replied to someguy's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
It hasn't probably changed my life, although for sure I feel very enriched by the friendship and companionship of people in this community. I would say that finding this community of like minded people has certainly made me feel much more comfortable and happy with the choices I've made. Porthos -
Exactly ... and the reality is that is she continues to make it uncomfortable for you you'll end up having to go to another club completely. I've known this to happen as a result of possessive dancers. A long time ago there was a dancer I tended to be a regular with. Since i didn't get to the club very often, I usually would see her when I did. This one night I had arranged to see her at the club in advance, and she was late getting there. No problem. Several dancers approached me, and I declined. When "my" dancer arrived, she asked if I'd gone for any dances. I told her no, but that I'd been tempted. She actually wanted to know who had asked me, so she could tell them to lay off in the future. I know I'm not that big a prize, but clearly my wallet was. I went back very infrequently after that, and was usually relieved if she wasn't working. Crazy! Porthos

Cerb goddess of the day
Athos replied to Meg O'Ryan's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Having spent a year living in St. John's I was very blessed to see some amazing ladies ... both local, and also the wonderful women that toured St. John's. Since moving back to southern Ontario, I've found that I've been a bit away from the tour route that many of my favorites tend to follow. I must say I've been missing them a great deal. The first lady I saw in St. John's, and who really "reintroduced" me to the hobby, was Emily Rushton. This is a woman who epitomizes the term goddess. She is stunningly beautiful and a genuinely wonderful person. Bright, smart, engaging, and, of course, oh so sensual. The image of Emily, waiting for me on the bed dressed in lingerie that deserves a place in the sensual lingerie thread, is something impressed on my memory forever. Emily has been mentioned many times in this thread, which to my mind, just confirms her status as a wonderful CERB goddess. She has many gorgeous pictures in her albums. But this one I find particularly beautiful. -
Roast pork with baby potatoes and a medley of winter vegetables, homemade apple sauce, garden salad. Desert was vanilla bean ice creme with home canned peaches. They taste like they just came off the tree, and the syrup is fantastic over the ice creme!

Whats for Breakfast
Athos replied to CristyCurves's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
Most mornings it is just coffee. lunch is usually my first meal of the day. Sometime I'll have a bowl of cereal, but this morning I had an English Muffin, with butter and some nice locally produced honey. -
Real all the way. We usually go out and cut our own, then home for hot chocolate and mulled cider.

It's not possible for me to quit. I've gone through periods of much less intense activity, but never for a second have I thought, that's it, I'll never do this again. For me, even saying that would simply be self-deception. When it comes to beautiful, sensuous, engaging women ... I'm prepared to admit that I am extremely weak! Porthos
