I'm old enough that the only club I think I'd be allowed in would be a bridge club. And there are no hot young things to be plied with booze at those. Seriously though ... I'd just feel embarrassed going into a club and would feel like everyone would be wondering about the perv! The only sort of club I'm likely to go to would have live music, preferably jazz! Porthos

I always find it odd how some really wacky conspiracies take hold. But people really do believe these things. I was in a Timmy's a few weeks ago, and had two people sitting next to me who were true believers. Sort of a strange mix of survivalist, extreme back-to-earth environmentalists. As they talked the conspiracies became wilder and wilder. The started off with why vaccines are bad for you and ended with the World Health Organization and pharmaceutical corporations deliberately starting pandemics and using populations as experiments. Along the way I learned what to do if the government shows up (which apparently could happen at any time) to put a chip in my head. The solution involves extreme violence. But these two really believed every word of it, felt they had irrefutable evidence. They really felt like they were under threat from sinister forces. their phones were tapped and agents of sinister global forces were following them. And really, it's all just hokum. Now the world being flat ... No denying the truth of that!

A wet, gray morning has turned into a brilliantly sunny ang gorgeous late afternoon and evening here in NL. Not a cloud in the sky, the ocean is shimmering like it was made of a 1000 jewels. Sitting on my deck, enjoying a beer, a bald eagle just flew past, and I'm now about to cook a fabulous meal of pan-fried cod for dinner. Life simply doesn't get better. I am at peace with the world!

Generally I don't, but would if requested and I had made up my mind that I was definitely making a booking with the lady. That sort of request certainly wouldn't prevent me from booking.

I honestly don't know how you ladies cope with this sort of bullshit!! It seems to me the guy is simply trying to coerce you into negotiating rates by threatening you with the possibility of a bad review. He screwed up by saying he saw you before you had started in the biz, so clearly he's lying. As RG says, certainly not a gentleman. I used to read some of the other review boards, cross-checking recommendations here. I don't even bother anymore. Recommendations from trusted brothers here on CERB is more than sufficient. As others have stated, the fact that I too have never had a bad experience with a CERB lady, speaks volumes. Having said that, even when I was reading the review boards I would have ignored a rating of 1 (the whole idea of these numerical ratings is pretty degrading) simply because it shows a complete lack of balance and is indicative of someone with an ax to grind. Be yourself and ignore the idiot. He's full of bluster and hot air, and he'll disappear. And truth be told, you don't want him, or anyone that would believe his reviews, for a client anyway. Porthos
