So, this really is an almost impossible question. And there are so many lovely ladies here on CERB. Some I've met, but many more I haven't but would like to. So how about this. A round the world ticket, with different ladies meeting me in various cities throughout the world to accompany me on one leg of the journey, or to indulge in the delights of a particular city. mmmmm ... any suggestions as to which lady suits particular cities/countries of the world??? When is it considered overselling
Athos replied to CristyCurves's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I think that a nice professional photo shoot tends to demonstrate the lady's commitment to the business. it speaks to her professionalism in a way that taking a few pics with your phone doesn't. This doesn't mean that photos have to be done up in such a way that they no longer reflect the individual. Photos that are too overdone can, as you say, be a problem as well. And, at the end of the day, we're guys ... so we are drawn to glossy packages!! :icon_biggrin: I can think of a number of albums on CERB that really achieve this. Two examples are from ladies who've posted in this thread. Sophia's "Jazz it up" and "Alice in Wonderland" albums, in combination with her more candid Cuba shots, are great examples. Emily Rushton's albums are beautiful professionally done photos, but when I first met her I was amazed at how well they captured the woman standing in front of me. As with all things, it seems to me there is a balance. And a well done photo shoot should, like the advertising, be a reflection of yourself. A professional photographer should be able to achieve that. Porthos -
When is it considered overselling

I tend to take a lot of that with a grain of salt. I look for a correspondence between the descriptors and what I read in recos. The only thing is not to overdo. Make sure you feel that the descriptors capture who you feel you are. Also, make sure there is a correspondence between the terms used and the advert overall. Sometimes you see adverts (not usually on CERB) that use terms like "elite" and "classy" and say that you could take the lady to a business function or elite dinner function, yet the ad is full of grammar and spelling mistakes. I'm not a grammar nazi, but it always makes me think, "nope ... I don't think those words mean what you think they do". The ad is how you've chosen to present yourself, so it can be very important how it's done. Porthos -
What Could I Be Doing Wrong?
Athos replied to Soleil Sublime's topic in General Discussion Area - all of Canada
I think you've got a lot of good advise here. Like other's I don't think you are necessarily doing anything wrong, but you may want to think about a variety of methods of communicating information. For example, a shorter, "thanks for your interest, most of your questions are answered on my website in the FAQ sections" followed by " Let me know when you would like to book and I'd be happy to answer any other specific questions you might have". This would still communicate information, invite further inquiries, but put the question of booking directly on the table. I rarely ask a lot of questions in the preliminary contact stages, but perhaps that's because I do my research before contacting a lady. When I do contact a lady I almost always am proposing a time frame, or even a specific date or two I would like to meet in that first e-mail. Soleil, you seem absolutely delightful, so don't let the time-wasters get to you. Just waste less time on them. Porthos -

You are very wise to do your research before jumping in. I'm sure lots of the ladies on here can give you plenty of advise about screening clients. See Emily Rushton's "following instructions" thread. Clients have different perspectives on "screening". Many don't like it, but I think many more appreciate that some degree of screening is necessary and important for the safety and security of the lady. Many ladies now require a reference from at least one other provider. If someone is on a board like CERB you should ask for their handle, so that you can review their posts and get a sense of whether they are someone you'd like to see. Get a contact number and e-mail address that can be verified, but it is important not to ring that number unless you have the client's permission to do so. I think some back and forth e-mail and/or a phone conversation can also help you "get a sense" of the client. I'm just thinking of some of the ladies on here who have verification procedures. Emily Rushton, Penelope, Katherine, Victoria Jolie, come to mind immediately, as well as a number of others. Take a look at their practices, and decide what you feel comfortable requiring. At the end of the day, always trust your instinct when booking clients.

I enjoy my i-pad, but have to agree that the absence of flash is a serious drawback. Most people I speak to who have a Playbook quite like it, but RIM needs to seriously market it and develop Apps that will complete with Apple. The price-point should certainly make them very attractive to a segment of the market. I'm considering getting one for my son, who would like a tablet but has a serious anti-Apple thing going on.
