  1. ....heheheh....oops stuuupid people lol
  2. What a fantastic thread :) I too enjoy hugs, and get them.. all day in my profession.. such a purrrfect thing, a hug :) I have a few clients who give off a vibe that says they aren't 'huggers'.. so.. I don't hehe.. but definitely goes a long way to indeed 'seal' things... and purrrrsonally, I have no idea how any provider in this profession *could* remain detached and withdrawn... just.... ew! ;) as far as 'acts of kindness'... I had a woman cry in my office the other day, when after I explained the therapy that I felt would work best for her, and told her the cost... she rolls her eyes, sighs and got ready to leave... and I stopped her, told her that whatever she can 'comfortably manage' to pay was fine with me.... she literally cried... (I have a policy in my clinic where, I do not do what I do to make a million dollars, but to make a difference in someone's life.. so on certain days, with certain people.. the 'fees' for therapies here, are $10/each instead of what they *really* are... I may be a wonderfully twisted perrrrrrvert.. but I do enjoy being able to look at myself at the end of my day) ;) ...and no.... <grin> my lovely massages and 'other fun things' are not in that category hehe.. =P
  3. if you have already trrrrrried a few things.. and nothing has worked, it's likely on her end where the issue is... and if she's not reachable, well.. <shrug> ;)
  4. - enjoyed a lovely crisp morning sit outside with my coffee - lighting incense, preparing the den for another lovely, fun-filled day - trying to not to be too excited at going later to pick up last piece to my amazing new hookah pipe! ;) (wanna go nooooow! hehe)
  5. I have perrrrrsonally had it up to my lovely ears with all the fuss about so called political correctness. that statement alone has ruffled more than a few feathers, but.. I 'explain' myself very simply. I do not intentionally set out to offend or hurt someone, but I always stand behind what I say. I am also bright enough to realise that, almost any time a person opens their mouth, they run the risk of offending someone.. so.. for myself anyway.. I speak my mind (hehe and get flak from moderators for it hehe).. am accountable to myself and those I speak for... and I don't 'worry' about the *need* to be politically correct... it all comes from a good place... and goes to a good place.. and if someone doesn't like my thoughts or opinions.. that's fine.. they don't have to :) In my day to day life.. and even my hobbies and interests.. I am all over the cultural map.... am a belly dancer (Israeli, Palestinian, Egyptian, Turkish and tribal).. am a native hand drummer.. a maker of traditional indigenous (hehe) medicines...I practice meditation, yoga (OH NO!) and much more... I even have a 'special needs' receptionist.....and I love it all... and so far as I know, have only outright offended one person.. who attempted to engage me in a sadly uneducated/uninformed argument of why *my* side was wrong.. hehe <swat!> .. I won ;) there are always going to be times when this will happen.. and for years I have been of the school of thought that it is absolutely impossible to be completely and totally 'politically correct'..... so, I say what I mean, mean what I say, and stand behind it every time. waaaaaay too far overboard with a lot of it the last decade or so, imho
  6. Shisha for my lovely new hookah pipe! :) <happy cat dance>
  7. snacking on finger foods.. veggies.. meats, cheeses as I procrrrrastinate getting ready to go out...as much as I love my dance gear.. I really enjoy being 'cougar-clad' *sigh* ;)
  8. - lounging in the prrrivate den, air-drying <grin> before donning my shiny things and going to a fetish event later tonight - enjoying a glass of wine - addressing emails/requests/comments ;) - contemplating whether to wear corset or belly dance gear... - enjoying the response a new picture in the den's website has brought.. - laughing at my kitten as he tries to figure out what on earth the huge brass and glass thing on the table is... (my new hookah pipe!) haha! ..and of course.. perrrrving here ;)
  9. I myself find the Chinese 'clock' seems to be the closest thing to what I know and recognise in my professional and perrrrsonal life and how my body runs... Every living being, including humans.. runs according to season... daylight/nighttime.... despite our attempts at overruling these things.. people are much more active in the spring...opening windows, 'clearing out' the dust and 'sleepiness' of winter months.... enjoying a spike in energy.. fruits, green leafy veggies..... and then settling into a much more consistent pace during the summer... fall.. most 'bodies' turn to storing things (yes.. body fat is one of them *sigh*)... and again 'cleaning or re-organising their homes... in preparation for the long winter... and in winter.. our favorite activity becomes curling up with a nice comfy blanket and munchies and watching movies.. and diets consisting largely of meats, soups and root veggies (and things like squash, pumpkins, potatoes.. apples).... it's how we are designed..... If you are having difficulty sleeping.. and a specific medical issue has been ruled out.. it is indeed true.. going to bed between 9 and 11pm is the best time to 'reset' things.. even if all you do is lay there and read for an hour...stay in bed! ;) but if your diet consists largely of fruits and leafy things..even through winter months..... try more carbs.. root veggies..no sugars after 2pm if possible... and things may indeed change with that simple adjustment... You can also do a candida test very easily at home.. as sometimes an overgrowth can attribute to all sorts of fun crap.... sleep issues, lethargy.. moodiness.. and muuuuch more Food for thought <HA!>: Most people try changing their diet, starting an unreal exercise program et al in the dead of winter (new years desolation hehe) and are beating themselves up when they fail... try again in the spring.. *that* is the time for those things.. not when the entire planet is sleeping .. seriously.. *not* your fault ;) I'm trying not to go on and on here hehe...when I do this for a living hehe it's difficult not to.. but it's sort of second nature for me to do so at times.. so feel free to tell me to shut it ;)
