  1. Thanks for sharing your stories with us. It's difficult to share some of your struggles sometimes but hopefull you'll find some motivation or just a an ear to listen here in our largly anonymous community. Sometimes just hearing that others out there share in your struggle and understand really helps. For me, just knowing that someone else is "real, vulnerable and human" endears them to me. Best of luck with your health.
  2. Thanks for the comments. I've dabbled with the idea of hosting a travelling lady for an outcall in my home later this month mostly because I just wanted to have a relaxing time and cook her some dinner on our date. No "services" just dinner company (ok maybe a kiss or two). I make the distinction of travelling vs local because I would never take the chance with a someone who has easy access to me afterward. No offence to anyone (so please don't go on the attack) but if an SP is fact a nutjob she'll likely be exceptional at covering up her issues for an hour or two while she assumes her cover role for the date. That presents a potential complication so I choose to avoid it. In this case I've met the lady before and she's actually wonderful and I think that she'd be comfortable with me asking this but I've wondered about the ladies comfort level for an outcall on a "first meeting" in a home. I know that I would prefer this as I'll be much more comfortable and relaxed on my home turf but I assume that the lady may feel more comfortable to receive in her own place. Personally I'm uncomfortable going out to dinner here in my home town with an SP (I'm well known in most of the establishments I would choose to go to) so having her in my home for dinner seem to be the only option. We'll see I guess what develops but it's good to know that it does happen often with no repercussions.
  3. I've learned that hearing a child's voice say, "I love you" can undo all the wrongs of even the worst day.
  4. No she was very genuine, a really sweet girl actually, no ill intent. She still keeps in touch regularly and consults me on many aspects of her professional and personal life for guidance. I don't like complications in my life and avoid them at all costs. Fantasy or not, she presented a complication which I delt with swiftly. I never think with my "little head", I'm just too analytical and cerebral and have exceptional impulse control. Even in this hobby, my brain is two steps ahead of my penis. LOL
  5. Thanks for the comment Boomer, yes the lady PMing you with a message of thanks was classy, but it's not an issue for me I don't do things for the thanks, I do them cause they make me feel good. Have a great day everyone. Chuck
  6. Meaghan, Of all the tools I have (and I literally almost every tool in a variety of brands, it's a sickness ;)) the best tool I've ever used is the impact driver I have four. You will love the nail gun. If you're going looking for one you want to ask for a "Brad Nailer" for trim but not a "Headless Pin Nailer" they look similar but have different uses. If you're attaching trim you'll want to use 1 1/2" or 2" brad nails. As for trowels I've got about a dozen and in my mind you'll want to have three staple trowels for doing plastering work. A 4", 9" and a 12". You can have others but those are the basics. Also I use a mud pan as opposed to a hawk. I agree on the circular saw, they can be nasty when they bind in the cut and jump. Sharp blades and proper technique can help with that though. Good luck Chuck
  7. Em, turn negative to positive! That was your considerate good deed for the day. A reward will be comming you way soon in return;) Additional Comments: Not that I don`t love a good rant (Thanks, I love fiesty) LOL. However, the universe doesn`t care if the act occured or not, it picked up on your good intention and decided to immidately reward you by allowing you to sell it. Throw it up on Kijiji or Cl for really cheap and use the money you get to buy something simple but nice for someone you love.
  8. Good day gentleman Cerbies! Just a thought and a challange I guess. If you are fortunate enough to be able to join in this social event that's wonderful and I hope you have a great time but for those that can't I 'd like to invite you to contact Angela with a donation for a prize to be given to the wonderful ladies who go to the Cerb social. Day in day out many of these ladies pander to the fantasies of us hobbiests here on Cerb, chat with us, flirt with us, provide their time to give us some reading and visual enjoyment and brighten our days. Even a small token donation, just to say thanks would be a wonderful gesture and I'm sure would be greatly appriciated. Give and you shall receive! Sorry I can't be there in person but I'll be there in spirit! Have a great time. Chuck
  9. Did you know.... St. John's, Newfoundland is the oldest city in North America and has the most pubs per square foot in Canada!
  10. My life is great and there's not much I want to change but I had one resolution that was told to everyone at our New Years Eve celebration (including the inlaws). I wanted to watch my wife have sex with another woman (you should have seen the mother-in-laws face when I announced it). We were hoping to do it in Q1 but schedules got in the way but fingers crossed for Q2.
  11. Probably from pent up excess sexual frustration. That also explains why you're so awesome! That, and your connection to the rock!
  12. Why is it..... that some people are just horrible? Not speaking of Nicki of course, she's great!
  13. For me stress kills the sex drive. A couple of years ago I was working too hard doing 18-20hr days 7 days a week and stressed to the max for about 3 months while that went on I had no interest in anything sexual. Even if I tried I wouldn't get hard. That's the longest I've even gone, the wife was not happy. Seriously she wore out three or four viberators. LOL
  14. I can remember back when I was in university there was an issue with people having sex at the University library. There was even a front page article in the local newspaper titled, "Sex among the stacks". FYI Berlin, I'd love to take you over my knee like the scene in Debbie does Dallas if anyone can remember that one;) Chuck
  15. I had one employee that I interviewed and hired a few years ago. She was actually brilliant at her job and I was please with my choice as an employee. However, over a little time she would innocently flirt with me and find reasons to have to come and talk to me about whatever projects she happened to be working on and being that she was 15 years younger than me I admit I found it cute and endearing. From time to time I definately would daydream about laying her up on my desk pulling up her skirt and going down on her then turning her around and ...... I digress. It was all "just daydreaming" until one day she came into my office and closed the door. I had no idea what she was up to until she turned and sat infront of me, she was crying. She opened up to me about her life and boyfriend and their problems and how he had cheated on her. She went on for a little while and I just listened but eventually she stopped reached over and touched my hand across the desk and said, "why couldn't he be like you". She just didn't say another word just stared at me and waited for my response. In my head alarm bells were ringing and I was like, "oh fuck, awkward moment". In my wisdom, I went off on a speech about youth and love and how she had so much more to experience and how there was surely a perfect person out there who whould cherish her in the way she deserved and maybe she could use the opportunity to make a fresh start in her life. I told her to look and wait for the silver lining. After I finished my talk I told her to go home for the rest of the day and just deflate. As soon as she left I picked up my phone and made a few calls and called in a couple of favours. The next day she mysterously got a call from a head hunter from one of my competitors who happen to need someone of just her skillset as a manager for one of their departments at a considerable pay and responsibility increase. That week she resigned and took the new job excited that such a great opportunity just found her just when she needed it. To this day she has no idea how it happened. My fantasy could have very easily become reality but that's not me to take advantage of any situation. I just need to find another fantasy now, a safer one. Chuck
  16. Meaghan, I totally respect anyone wanting to complete the work on their own. It has a great satisfaction once it's done. Thats mostly the reason I started doing this stuff in the first place. Bottom line plastering is definately not rocket science however doing it well does involve lots of practice and all the right tools and techniques depending on what type of a joint you're doing. There are lots of great youtube videos out there showing proper techniques for plastering depending on the situation. How you hold your trowel and the proper pressure applied makes a world of difference. If you have your heart set on plastering yourself then PM me and I'll send you some links to "good" youtube videos to show you properly. Personally, I've done alot of plastering over ther years and I'm good at it but I hate it none the less and get someone else to do the job if it's a large one. On to the trim. Hammers and nails have not been used for trim work in many, many years. Pneumatic air/gas tools are all the order of the day. They are much faster and easier for all trim work regardless of wheather it's door/window facings, crown moulding or base board. Really once you use it you'll love it, shooting nails through wood does have an element of excitement to it (my wife loves it anyway and for some reason she seems to get all randy after). The nailers themselves are very light (maybe 2 pounds) so using them over head is easy and I'm sure that there are videos on youtube on using these properly as well. I believe that as recommended renting one is your best bet. Again, if you want you can let me know and I'll send you some videos showing you proper use and safety. I'm not close to you but I'll gladly chat on the phone and talk you though some things that you might have questions on if you require it. Lastly, I know it was mentioned in jest in a previous post by a hobbiest but (still poor taste) please don't barter for services. Good luck and you know where to reach me if you need to. :) Chuck
  17. A day of sailing on a hot summer day ending with pulling into a quiet cove going ashore for a fire on the beach complete with wine, blankets and someone to cuddle with. Finally, ending the evening laying on the deck of the boat in a large sleeping bag for two, looking at the stars while the boat gently rocks you to sleep. Christ, now I can't wait to get the boat back in the water.
  18. Finding out that an SP who myself and other experienced Cerbies here on "The Rock" have been waiting for and looking forward to has had to cancel :(
  19. Sitting in my reading chair sipping a coffee, smelling the turkey cooking and reading Jarod Diamond. Thanks Gia!
  20. Why is it....poor Emily Rushton can't seem to get a way from winter and snow?
  21. Hey Katrine, if you would actually some information feel free to PM me and I'll pass along the information on locations and ad options. I'm not able to provide specifics like you'll be looking for in an open forum for CERB rules and security reasons. Chuck
  22. Well, wifey's a sommelier so I'm exposed to a very broad range of wines regularly and I'm doing the ISG myself for fun. First off I'll pass along what I heard right from the lips of Wolfgang Blass when asked about what wine is best. He said, "The best wine is the one that's in front of you!". Too often wine drinking gets caught up in pretentious airs of people trying to impress each other with the "la-de-da" of it all. I've been in the company of these type of people way to many times. I have had $2000 bottles of wine that I could just barely stomach, $14 bottles that I loved and everything in between. Bottom line if you like it, you like it and that's all that matters. All that said, Malbec's from Argentina are great wines and in those I personally prefer the 2011 Don David about $16 per bottle and they also have a nice Tannat a little more dry for about the same price. In reds my favorite is a 2005 Chateau Brown from Bordeaux about $90 a bottle(its a little hard to get). However as a point of note any Bordeaux wines from 2005 will be better than any other year and slightly more expensive. I love whites more than reds and in whites my fav are Rieslings and the best I'v ever had is a 2009 Trisaetum from Oregon. I love Ports too! Actually I love them all!
