  4. I have to agree; as a single guy (been single for years by choice) i've often had the same questions and remarks throughout my life - being asked if i was gay came up too lol. There is always a bit of surprise at first, then understanding, when i mention that one can be content in being single, free of attachment etc.

  6. Congratulations Vitto, on attaining this milestone! Keep on posting!
  7. Further to what Vitto answered, there is a thread on what GFE-PSE means (but she has summed it up well) : http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=10214 Can't add much more than what Vitto posted, at the moment. And welcome to CERB, by the way!
  8. Not a surprising resolution, given what the throne speech had. Point 3), as stated, as elements of what the socialist party in France seems to be proposing, re. Targeting clients.
  9. We are far from expecting individuals to dress formally (its far from being a black tie event), nor are we imposing a specific dress code. The best way to describe how people usually dress for these events (for those looking for ideas) would be "smart casual", i'd say - or in better words what youd wear in an informal, after work hours event. Hope this helps you out.
  10. Some of mine: Lord of the Ring trilogy (extended versions) The Godfather series the Austin Powers Airplane 1 and 2 Mel Brooks movies perfect for this week (hehe): The Evil Dead series the Hammer films (wonderful "B" horror films)
  11. Thanks for starting this thread, Nat. In answer to your question, basically i tell people, when the opportunity arises, is basically this, in one way, shape or form:
  12. A big thank you to the gents who have gotten their ticket since i officially posted last week! There are, of course, still tickets available, and these go on a first come first served basis (@ 35$). You can contact me (or Loneskater of course!) to get the ball rolling on getting yours if you haven't done so already. As for the previous social in September, Loneskater and I plan on settling the final details (payment for the snacks, drink tickets for the ladies, gift cards etc) two weeks prior to the social date at the latest. As such, i'd like to have all tickets sold by Friday, November 29th 2013 to ensure the best possible party for everyone! Cheers!
  13. Well, thank you for the vote of confidence on my baking skills, i appreciate it! I can sure give it a try .... but then again, while we are on the topic of not-so-secret ingredients, should i reveal my secret for ... cupcake frosting, then??? :icon_eek:
  14. Hush hush on the not-so-secret ingredient, Lee!! I thought everyone had forgotten about it! Darn!! :icon_razz: Yes, pretty xmasey cupcake indeed. Are you going to make those then, or are you expecting them??
  15. Of the cities i visited at various points - Victoria, Vancouver, Toronto, Halifax, Jasper (worked a summer there which was lovely), Québec City ( the old town and its antiquaries), the one that i'd consider my home away from home is Montreal. It's just great to hang out there and wander around.
  16. It's not just partay time, it's time for something else as well, but you know that ... hehe! :icon_razz:
  17. Payment are accepted now, and as i mentioned in my original post, it can be done in person or e-mail transfer, like the last social. Send me a PM if needed, to make the arrangements ;-)
