  1. There are no plans for a November social. If you read the thread ( a couple of posts back), a date has been set already for the next one, in December, but wait until the official thread before contacting me or Loneskater. These involve a lot of work, and by tradition, will be kept on the same months as in years pas, as it works well for most people. Thanks for your interest and ideas, though! Addendum: The Ottawa socials run in September ("Fall social"), December (our "Christmas Social", February ("Valentine's social") and May (for a Spring inspired one).
  2. Last one that i missed earlier with the video-reports i posted "Sex, alcohol and Swinging for all" ..... Not a Swing Club (where one would have to be a member to enter), this is on a Swing Bar, where you'd have just to agree to the rules. Regulating bodies allocating Bar licences are aware of the activities on site. Exchange of money for sex is disallowed according to the owner.
  3. There's another series of articles on "Montreal, Sex Capital" (in french) on lapresse.ca
  4. A little bit of history concerning uses of Bacon waste (and meat drippings in general) - as explained by Disney in this Video ....
  5. For those who understand french, lapresse.ca published a series of video reports, news stories, rather, on the industry in Montreal. La Presse, Montreal's main french newspaper, had a series in their hardcopy about four years ago, but on slightly different topics. Montreal always was - and still is - a hub in North America as a "Ville Libertine", an open city. Yet, as open as it is, there are still pressures to limit the development of the industry. A little history of Montreal's red light district Some of Montreal's wards (arrondissements) are making an effort to limit the expansion of spa's and "Barber Shops" A look at male strip clubs and saunas: "Gay sexual tourism in Montreal" A minor gives a bit of her story
  6. And nothing beats a discussion riddled with Double Entendre that's initiated by either party and maintained by both. It's always interesting where those can lead .... :-)
  7. Of the people close to me, i've formally told only a friend of 20+ years of my direct involvement in the business, but i knew the news would'nt be a surprise. Though i'm single, or because of it, i was able to be open about it some time ago, which went well (better than i ever conceived, though i know its not within everyone's reach to do). In the past 10 months, i've taken a discreet approach in trying to dispell the myths in regards to the industry. Cat said it well, planting the seeds of doubt and having patience is key to change minds.
  8. Bienvenue sur CERB! Au plaisir de lire tes contributions! J'esperes que tu vas apprécier le groupe! Au plaisir!
  9. Sorry Lee, did you have a question here? Got distracted by something ... picturesque ... lol That, i agree with!
  10. There is a thread here on the topic as well : http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=143695, started not even 2 months ago. Lots of interesting opinions were already discussed.

  13. Some final thoughts, now that the dust has settled and that i had time to relax a bit !! I want to thank Loneskater and Spud for their help in my organizing this social. It was an amazing experience organizing it, and comments we received in person, on this thread and in private were all positive. We've noted a few things to improve upon, as there's always room for improvement. Loneskater and I have had a chance to chat, and i can speak on his behalf here on the fact that both of us will be involved in organizing the December social. I want to provide forward notice that the next one will be on December 12th, but please wait until the official thread is started in a few weeks to contact us (messages sent concerning it will be unanswered), as we want to take a bit of time off to recover lol !!! Cheers!!

  17. I'm extremely glad to see things turned out the way they did, my friend. I think i can speak on behalf of my two colleagues in saying that things couldn't have run more smoothly without some very wonderful people on site (they know who they are). On your last point, well, we'll see after sleeping it off hehehe!
  18. Katherine always does a good job of representing our lovely friends from the East Coast! Its always great to see people from other cities making the trip to attend these, wether they are here or elsewhere!
  19. Just about 10 hours until lift-off :icon_eek: for another memorable party with a bunch of cool people!!!
  20. Yellow is the answer to all the above!! :icon_razz:
  21. Not long until the social !!! If anyone has last minute questions concerning the social, i will be online later tonight and tomorrow morning untill 1pm. From 1 pm until i get to the location, i will be unavailable to do so, as i have to attend to a few things. If i do not have a chance to chat with you in the meantime, i will see all of you torrow night!
  22. Which one looks more like those counterparts, would you think? :-p
  23. Just a follow up to the above .... I just want to let everyone know that at the main bar (you wont miss it), there are two stools in the middle of it with Loneskater's and my name on it. Actually, each of those stools has our bum cheeks now imprinted on it!!!
