    It's the last stretch!! I've received a few more payments today, so the last spots are going fast! Remember, guys, payment ensures you are on the guest list!! Ladies, as usual, you can expect a little bit of baking ... would'nt be a social without one. I just need to dust off my recipes .... hopefully i'm not too much out of practice!! ;-)

    Party faces indeed, as socials are always fun to mingle and catch up with people we haven't seen for a while and, of course, meet new faces!!! Remember gents, we still have a limited number of spots available, so if you want to attend the social but have yet to confirm by getting your ticket, you still can!!! For anyone who have never attended these events, it's a "meet and greet" around the downtown core, so easy access from anywhere in the city. We have our own private area, so it'll e exclusively CERB members in good standing. You can chat up with whomever is around, or come and go as you please during the evening if you cant stay long.

    Sligthly less than a month to the social (27 days or so). I'm sure some of you can already smell, or taste, the brownies??? ;-) Gents, there are spots still available. Ladies, your guest list is full at the moment, but if you'd like to be put on the "wait list", let me, loneskater or spud271 know. For those who never attended a social, it's a great opportunity to mingle, to put faces behind the handles and chit-chat (no hanky-panky). Personally, i can't wait to meet old friends, and meet new ones!!

I've used google translate and reviewed it for consistency: Doctors in Australia did an emergency surgery on a man who had inserted a metal fork in his penis, an unusual medical intervention that was published as a long article in a highly respected professional journal for surgeons. According to the article "An unusual foreign body in the urethra" published in the International Journal of Surgery, the 70 year old man was brought to the emergency hospital in Canberra with a bleeding penis "after having introduced a fork in the urethra to increase his sexual pleasure. " The man had introduced the 10 cm, metal fork, twelve hours before, but could no longer remove it, says the article, which does not specify the date of the incident. Doctors, faced for the first time in such a case, "discussed several possible operations" before removing the object with forceps and lots of lube, while the patient was under general anesthesia. "This case deserved focus given the challenges presented by this unusual case of a stuck fork in the urethra of the penis" says this very serious professional journal. It then describes some - few - if any foreign objects found in the urethra of the penis during the past nine years. "The auto-erotic stimulation with objects inserted into the urethra exist since time immemorial and are infrequent but known cases to urologists," she says. Its said that if the patient takes too long to see a doctor, by being too embarrassed, he may die as a result of an infection.

    I'm not sure either how difficult it'd be to have a seperate section for the frivolous material, but it would be interesting, the General Dicussion could be kept to more "serious" elements of discussion?. They certainly would use space on the latest post section of the main page though. I agree they are viewed quite a bit, and it's my understanding they also bing a fair bit of traffic to the site, which helps in the long run (web traffic = a bit of $$ for the site).

    Gents, last stretch if you'd like to confirm your spot for the social!! 11 days until the end of August 30th (not counting today), as we'd like to have our figures in to put the final touches to the social! Good food, good drinks (both extensively tested, by Loneskater and I, to ensure its of quality, and it is!! :-) ), and most of all, GREAT company!!!

    How come that some of the bosses ask for something for "yesterday" (its urgent or the world will fall apart kinda thing), yet the work submitted sits on their desk for weeks on end? Mmmmm Wait.... i think i know why ....

    Beer bribes to the organisers may have an adverse effect, we may not make it to the door prize part section of the social, as we may be found under the table by then :-p Indeed, the coundown is on!

    Ladies, your guest list is now officially complete! I will be making a "waiting list" for those who would like to come, in case that some of the ladies who have expressed interest cannot come at the time of confirmation. Gents, there are still spots available. Payment by August 30th secures your spot at the social ($35, in person or by email money transfer). Cost covers a drink for the ladies, snacks, and door prizes. The location will be sent, by PM, to those attending within the week of the social.

    Mmmm not sure about these?? Chocolate Dress : Or a candy Dress?? Its a sure way to stand out, and none of these would last long???? :-P Seriously though, i'm sure you'll find something nice and casual to wear! Additional Comments: I see what you mean :-) , but in the meantime, proper exercise will keep our figure as it should be and, of course, I'm sure that the company we are expecting at the social will keep us from going under the table too soon :-P

    Baking (and cooking) - it's almost a zen like moment to spend time in the kitchen. I prefer baking to cooking, as some combinations makes for interesting results. Reading, though i dont get to do this enough at home these days. My job requires lots of reading already, so i have piles of books to go through still. Movies; lots of good movies around, especially during film festival season. I could spend days at the theatre. Canoeing or paddling: no better feeling than to be on the water, though i havent done any this year :-(. Trying out new wines Teaching french, reviewing (or translating from english) french documents (especially those written by colleagues), as it keeps me on my toes, trying the find the meaning, the intent in the text or message as french is a language full of nuances.
