  1. It is with great pleasure that i would like to extend my thanks to the organizing committee of the May 5th Social on behalf of all the participants. It was a well planned and well managed event, in an incredible location. Meeting the gents and ladies behind the CERB handles in a social and relaxed atmosphere was wonderful. The draw and gift bags were, i am certain, well appreciated by the ladies. We had gents and ladies from Ottawa, of course, but also representatives from Halifax, Toronto and Vancouver (you know who you are!!!!). I am sure i would echo everyone's thoughts by saying that Ottawa would be more than happy to see you drop by again anytime, with welcoming arms. So, please, join me in thanking Angela, Nicolette and Shortcake (please, forgive me if i forgot anyone) for making this wonderful event happen.
  2. Picking one of the two options only? But good point on saying that there more factors than one (if i stay strickly on the physical aspect) To strickly answer your question, For me, Pictures are worth a thousand words. I read a description i my mind will form an idea, a concept. Too many factors at play for mere words (which can lead to a false idea, or an interpretation that will not be the same as another person will make by reading the same words) to describe accuratly someone. At best, i would use the two. And, also, ( for me at least ) more importantly, personality will play a factor on how i "see" or imagine a person. So interaction will also play a big factor in there for me in the grander scheme of things.
  3. I have added some basic information on wines, for those who are curious to know more. Types of grape used for red and white wine, and another section on Rosé wines. Enjoy!
  4. RG, in answer to your question, yes, i would. Like you, I also write recos based on the time i spent with a particular lady, not based on what was written by someone else.
  5. Some random thoughts .... Sexual tourism (i am referring here to many "destinations" that include Thailand, Cuba, Dominican Rebublic to name a few) is an extremely complex issue at the core and is not limited to seeing woman. It has been discussed and exposed in various medias, and in various forms, but is still problematic as some "enjoy" using the misery of others and see this as a thing that is "ok" to do abroad, but would not do here in the country. This, of course is an oversimplification..... I agree that In some cases, acquiring wealth is a goal, in others, and in others, survival is a goal, regardless of country. If survival is a goal, can we then really talk of choice? It's not because we are in Canada that it is rosier here for some. Even in Canada, some are caught in survival mode and have no choice in doing so; poverty, being forced by someone else etc ..... We are part of the G20 but still poverty is rampant, hypocraticly hidden and overlooked. I would use care before saying the the difference is simple, there are more elements to take into consideration. This is, by and large, a complex issue indeed. Just trying to wrap my head around it ... well....

  8. Love being alone ..... early morning in the summer .... coffee in hand at a local coffee shop ... looking out, glancing at the paper, smiling at people, small breeze, walking slowly back home while taking in the sun, no pressure at all. Got to love it, trying to reach for that inner peace....
  9. It is from the movies star wars (return of the jedi) Here is a pic :
  10. Personnally i have no favorite lingerie or outfit. As roamingguy said, the lady makes the outfit, not the other way. So, ladie's choice.
  11. The Pink, on the Aylmer road, opens either at 7 or 7:30 pm.
  12. I agree with Angela. @ Physicalchemistry, Also, I think every guy will have a slightly different angle at what is acceptable to them, in a way, on what they are looking for. What i find acceptable within your list you may not. Looking at profile descriptions and adds will help make your decision better (served for me more than asking other guys IMHO). Was about to suggest Malika myself ... Malika, you beat me to it.....
  13. A great date idea for those that are in Ottawa or visiting. Preferably it requires a touch of planning (i.e reservations are preferred)..... Going for afternoon tea at the Chateau Laurier can be a really fun, relaxing and luxurious date while having a light snack, as little sandwiches and pastries are served with tea. You can get to chat quietly and get to know one another without struggling with a large lunch. It's perfect on a nice sunny day as you can walk downtown or along the canal.
  14. Some more info on Port wine : Port wine is a fortified wine made in Portugal's scenic Douro Valley. A fortified wine is a wine to which a neutral grape spirit (brandy) is added during the fermentation to halt further fermentation. This leaves residual sugar in the wine, resulting in an alcoholic, full-bodied, sweet wine. The wines are generally quite alcoholic, around 20% alcohol by volume. Other examples of fortified wines from other parts of the world include Sherry, Madeira, Marsala, Banyuls and Maury. Generally served with dessert or a cheese course, port is bottled in many different styles. Most basic Ports you find in basic markets are either Ruby ports or Vintage Character Port wines which are basically fruity, sweet wines that are ready to drink when bottled. The real deal however is Vintage Port, only bottled in the best years, which can be a tremendously complex and long-lived wine. Bottled after only a couple years, it is meant to be aged in bottle and good ones can take several decades to reach their peak. Another alternative is Tawny Port, which is instead aged in wood barrels for extended periods of time. Most are labeled as either 10 year, 20 year, 30 year or 40 year Tawnys which indicates the average age of the wines included in the bottling (they are generally blends of multiple vintages). They are called Tawny because of the lighter tawny color they develop as they age in wood, whereas other ports tend to be very dark purple or almost black. The older the Tawny, the lighter the color and the fresh, young, ripe fruit fades to more nutty complexities of aromas and flavors.
  15. Me, i prefer my white port chilled but not too cold. For the red, room temp or a touch under does the trick...
