  1. Should my definition of fun include a friend?
  2. Pigale is 3$, the Taboo one is 5% of your withdrawal amount (i think) of what you need. So carrying a set amount, saying thanks but no thanks (spending wisely), or leaving are the better options.
  3. Forgot to add (thought about it while reading Bridgette's post) ... I made introductions in between the couple in question and 2 dancers, which made everything easy for everyone, including the dancers. They ended up going with one, i went with the other. They both returned (without me) and were recognised by the dancer they hadn't been with. Since they had met .... well introductions were already made and everyone was comfortable. In this case, a good amount of time was spent talking at the table, i was told.
  4. Berlin, I've seen couples a my favorite hangout. Never saw problems. Prices given by Meagan are about right. My two favorite clubs, the Fax and Pigale, have "rates" in or around the CR. If your BF pitches in, all the better... What i noticed, and from discussing with my regular dancer, going in at a "quieter" time leaves some time to get to know each other. Like anything, have a chat, be polite, say no if you have to. When i went out with a friends ( a couple) they had chatted with the ladie's first to get a feel for each other and both be comfortable. Most will understand. PM me if you want, I may have good suggestions for you.
  5. Nice to see this thread active again so quickly.... I'm building a new list of books just now. I've got a series started, "un bonheur si fragile", by Michel David, about life at the turn of the century in Quebec. Kind of an historical drama.
  6. Reading and replying to the "your first brush with erotica" had me dust up a book i had started reading again during the fall but had set aside; "Sirens and other deamon lovers", edited by Ellen Datlow and Terri Windling. Great short stories about love and seduction.
  7. I agree, and she is in the area. I've met her recently as she was starting her training regimen; looking very fit....
  8. Personnally, i would'nt go as far as saying it's a scary place, but i get what you mean. Never been often enough and it's always pretty much empty when i'm there. I like to dress fairly well when i'm out, so i kinda stand out. Different clientele than across the street and at Fax. Dressing it down to fit the crowd works for me there. You are rigth though, there is the occasional lady that seems interesting.
  9. I remember stumbling on dad's stash of Playboy. I still remember Samantha Fox's pictorial .... Bleu Nuit was part of my life growing up too. Ha, those Emmanuelle movies . I recently read the "Story of O " as well as collected stories of erotica, like "Sirens" or "A multitude of Sins". Hot stuff ...
  10. Nothing for me either, but now all i got in my head is "He Shoots, He scores!" Ha, Hockey ....
  11. Agreed. Some dancers i've met are honestly gracious and understanding about it, most are "indifferent", or have a neutral reaction. The stronger reactions i've had were from dancers i've met before. Additional Comments: Agreed for Barbs, as well as for Taboo. Worked well for me at Pigale and the Fax though.
  12. Visited there for a pit stop after the Fax. Taboo was quiet, with at least as many dancers as there were clients. The only dancer of interest i knew was Rose. There was an interesting, good looking blonde i never met, but did not get a chance to meet her. No Jenna in sight (it was late and quiet though) Stayed for a drink only and left.
  13. Was at the Fax yesterday later in the evening, past 9. It wasn't as busy as i expected. Being a Pigale regular, i find that Fax is well decorated. Seems like they have been doing renos in recently. The CR's are private enough for an Ottawa club - i'd qualify them as being halfway between Barb's and Pigale - and well set up. You cant see your "neibhour"like you can at Barbs but looking straight ahead you can see out of it. The staff is friendly; what surprised me when comparing Fax and Pigale are the doorman. They are much friendlier, approachable and professional than at Pigale (had noticed that last week). Seems like they have been making efforts in improving their client service approach at the door. I got asked if i was coming alone, and where i would like to sit. I then got directed to a seat near the bar, which was where i asked to be. Not sure how common that is.... but it was an interesting first for me. Dancer's wise, well, i was visiting one in particular, so i did not indulge. Besides, for my tastes, i find that Barb's and Pigale are generally better, and i haven't been to Nuden, the Mate or Silver Dollar yet.
  14. Maybe another suggestion that works for me, is sitting at the bar or close to it (many SC's have a few tables by the bar). It's away from "pervert's row" and still send a signal that you are quietly sitting around to enjoy the show, leaving the option to walk to a dancer if you wish to, or strike a conversation with a dancer coming by.
  15. Never attended myself. Heard good things though.
  16. .... And wear a bikini? Oh no, i have it. Be an official sun tan boy?
  17. To ease our tax bleeding suffering, a comparative graph on personal and corporate tax rates (2005 mean) across various countries. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Income_Taxes_By_Country.svg Would'nt want to live in Belgium. 55% income tax on personal earnings ...
