Actually one of the dancers at Pigale told me that last Friday. I asked her and she told me (her exact words) some of the dancers were ripping off customers so they have the manager sitting here and counting songs. Not sure how effective it is. For sure not in my case. For it to be effective the customer has to refuse to pay and complain to sitting manager and in my case (and I believe in most of patrons cases) I don't argue or complain. I just pay whatever dancer is asking and yes this happens to me in about 10% of dances. But I never take that dancer again. So short term gain for her but long term loss. I don't remember this happening to me at Pigale though!!!!!

Just a reminder to Harley fans (I know there are many) that this Russian beauty is around for a few short weeks before she leaves the town. She is dancing on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at Barbarellas. This coming Saturday June 10, Kitty Kat will be there too (daytime) and sometimes when Harley is on stage then Kitty joins her too (wow) One beautiful blonde and one beautiful brunette together wow. Can't miss this one for sure.

Well said about the three Barb's angels, Harley, maddy and Phoenix. I don't know if I am imagining this or anyone else has noticed it too that the songs in the Champagne rooms are much longer these days? Not just at Barbs but everywhere. On Friday at Pigale I could swear that I was in the CR for 10+ minutes for just 2 songs and last night at Barbs too each song must have lasted 5+ minutes and same at Barefax and Playmates. It used to be about 3 to 4 minutes at most just 2-3 years ago. Especially at Pigales it was shortest likely less than 3 minutes a few years ago. Now if true and I am not imagining then this is a new trend that I love!!!! I keep dancers the same number of songs as before so no loss for dancers in this regard but we have more time to enjoy each other.

Once I almost about to have a hard fall with a plate full of food in my hands. It would have been a real bad fall. Stairs are real bad to upstairs. And I don't drink alcohol at Barefax as I have to drive back so I was sober. I don't mind falling head over heels but for dancers not down the stairs. Maybe you can ask Barefax management for an elevator too. Just saying. Btw, Natasha for sure and likely Seven too are daytime dancers at Barbs.

Well stated comments. I agree with you completely bigalow as you are making very true fair and unbiased statement. I have come across rude dancers and lousy servers too in every bar including Barbarellas but since this is by nature a positive recommendation board (as far as I remember) then in my posts I ONLY reviewed the great ones. As an example there were almost two dozen dancers last night at Barbs but I mentioned less than a dozen and there were two servers and I mentioned one only. I was following the motto "If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all". Evidently we have nice posters and rude posters too everywhere even on this board. I likely have more recommendation posts for Barefax than Barbs as that was my place between November to April and recently more on Pigale than barbs and I actually voted for Barefax to be the best club in NCR not Barbs and somehow I am accused of shill for Barbs!!!! Go figure.

Heaven as described in the bible is the location of the throne of God as well as the holy angels. Well tonight I didn't see any God but plenty of Goddesses and the holy angels as well. This was Barbarellas at 340 Queen street not a distance spiritual place up there somewhere in the universe. The very popular Jenny is back as a waitress/bartender!!! Soon after arrival I was greeted by the first Goddess. Yes I was very nicely surprised to see our very popular Jenny. She approached me from a distance with her very friendly smiling beautiful face. She was working as the waitress tonight. r__d and thousands of Jenny fans would love to read this that she will be working at the bar at Barbarellas as bartender soon likely in the evenings so you can sit at the bar and talk to her for hours as many patrons do. I was also very happy that she will be working at Barbarellas again as she would be an absolute great addition to an already great bar. I asked for her permission if I can convey this very good news on this board and she gracefully granted that permission. As the stage dancing was underway I sat next to stage (yes Barbarellas is like home to me and so friendly that I feel I am among my family and long time friends) and was the only one at stage watching all these angels on stage. I had private dances with the following angels tonight. Layla the Arab princess (on stage and Champagne room). She has been reviewed before. Harley with love from Russia. The beautiful sweet Russian on stage first and she was my first angel tonight in the Champagne room. She said that the owner at Barbarellas is a nice person and treat ladies very well. Harley is here only 4 more weeks and this angel will fly away from Ottawa. See her now and as much as you can or you will never get the chance again. She dances on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Phoenix half Persian princess/Goddess - As Harley was dancing for me in the CR I had my second big nice surprise of the night. I saw the very popular Phoenix walked in!!!!. Wow you are so right Cato as always She must have descended from heaven. She has the cutest face. Being of mixed race make her so unique and cute and she is so so friendly, Needless to say that i had private dances with her. She appeared genuinely happy to see me after more than a year and said next time she misses me she comes on a Saturday (usually she is not working Saturdays). Then Samantha the Greek goddess. Yes the lovely young fair skinned brunette. She was with her regular and kept on going into Champagne room with this regular however she did find to time to come over as I was sitting next to stage for a hug and Kiss. Havana, with love from Cuba!!!! Then I noticed a very cute young girl standing at the DJ booth. I signaled her to come over. She came over smiling oh yeah she was the very famous Havana from Cuba (I think I read heavenly posts about her on the other board and people asking about her over there now I see why. A very fair skinned and kind of spinner and a very sexy body with very cute small pair of boob and cute face. She went on stage first (and so did I in her third song) and then I had a large number of private dances with her. She gave me the web site for a place in Cuba to visit. My other favorite beautiful brunette Kitty Kat was not there but she will be there next Saturday daytime. So Kitty Kat lovers beware of the next Saturday angelic descend from heaven. Beautiful blondie, Sammie mostly dances Thursday and Friday evening which both are working days for me so I am exhausted. I also remember these ladies on stage: Sandra - A very small blonde looks very young and pretty. Sandy - A larger blonde and sexy lady Bianca - A sexy large blonde and pretty Katrina - A very pretty brunette and very friendly. She kept smiling at me while on stage and came over to hug and kiss after her stage dance for the small bill I put for her on stage. I can see now why she is so popular. She is so sexy pretty and friendly all at the same time. Between two to three dozen patrons at 11:30 and about a dozen and a half beautiful ladies there to show you gateway to heaven. When I left a crowd of patrons was also standing outside smoking so over three dozen and likely much more later. I was happy to see ladies were constantly going in and out of Champagne rooms making good money. Party like environment. Bouncer at the door opening the door for ladies and was very polite and never came inside the CR all the time I was there likely never. The place was clean and classy, ladies were friendly and classy and temperature comfortable though my blood was boiling and my heart pounding thanks to the angels at Barbarellas. It was also confirmed by one of the dancers that most of the chairs in the CR are not comfortable to dance on. So dear nice person owner please change the chairs. I had a great 4 hours at Barbs tonight. It feels like home. The staff are very friendly. Everyone is welcoming and nice. The ladies are most exotic. The environment is the best. No other bar or place anywhere on this universe can match Barbarellas for the beautiful, friendly ladies it has and the professional staff and friendly warm environment it offers. Long live Barbarellas and God bless the ladies who work there. Please support this bar and the angels who dance there as much as you can. It won't be there for long and you may regret later why you didn't drop by more often while it was still open. H & K

You are entitled to your opinion sir and so is Megan and I am entitled to mine too with all due respect. I am not going to take part or respond to anymore post in this thread, I have said what I wanted to say and posting here only give more publicity to the negatives and negativity. So you can talk one-sided to yourself and few supporters and thank each other too again and again if you wish.

Again you are not only hurting the bar alone but mostly you are hurting the dancers who many were your own friends and many choose to work there. You know yourself that many of them are dependent on their income and prefer to keep their income as is than new chairs or upgrades. If what you say is true and they are so unhappy so why they don't move to another bar like neighboring Barefax or NuDen or Pigale? Because they like where they are. You know that I know many dancers there for a long time and I have spoken with them suggesting Barefax or Pigale because I was unhappy with non-private nature of the CRs but they said no way that would choose somewhere else because they feel safer here and I respected that and am happy for them. In spite of everything, Barbarellas open Champagne rooms and cameras makes them feel safe and they dance nowhere else. You danced there yourself for several months as recent as a couple of months ago. This chair issue or upgrade is the latest and to some extend legitimate. But before public posts were complaining about open CRs and then complains made about cameras and then allegations made that owner showed films taken in the CR to others and one even claiming that bouncers are walking around with his porno films...... Unsubstantiated, exaggerated allegations as I see it a coordinated effort to bring down or discredit this bar which I don't care but I do care about the ladies who are going to be hit for most part and by far the worse. Everyone I spoke with about films being taken in the Champagne rooms by cameras and shown to others in public by owners Vigorously denied this rumor and commented that the owner would NEVER do such thing. My best and most trusted one said she knows the owner and he would never do such thing. If you wish to boycott, great do so and the girls would be for all others who love this bar but do not spread rumors in public or encourage others to boycott too. Sure I hope too that the owner come to his senses and spend a few thousand on the bar. In fact the next time I see him I will convey this message quoting cerb or Lyla comments about his bar and also will pass this along to the staff. They also have a web site with text boxes where one can send comments. Btw, Barbarellas was voted second best in NCR after Pigale and best in Ottawa by those patrons who frequent strip bars only one month ago so being a dive and being the best as a thing of the past is not true. Also not true Playmates is not more hygienic. Most of the time they don't even have liquid sanitizer and when I complained that dancers are moving from one customer to another without washing out or sanitizing then no action was taken. And table and chairs are not cleaner or more hygienic either.

The afternoon buffet brought me back to Pigale (I switched from Barefax). I took my own advice and left Ottawa early at 3 instead of 3:30 and I was there at Pigale only 15 minutes later as opposed to 45 (what a difference half hour makes in traffic. It was quiet upon arrival. Seconds after my arrival as I was about to sit on a table I saw a friendly smiling face approaching with a hug. It was Tasha the sweetest with angelic face. I took my own advice and too her to Champagne room. She was great and I had fantastic time with her. They did have a number of stage dances between 3:30 to 6.00 pm. I remember seeing the following dancers on stage: Tasha (soon after the private dance she went on stage), Franchesca (this girl is popular for private dance not sure why), Kelly, Kylie, Gabrielle, Selina (she is pretty and very tanned from Barefax now here), Skyla, Ashley (Tall blonde), Natasha(blonde), Lacey, Bailey (tall tanned with glasses), Stacy (the short haired skinny snob), Candice (the new short brunette dancer), Jody (very fair skin and pretty) and a few others I can't remember. I also took Bailey to the CR. She is originally from New Brunswick moved to Ottawa. She is very friendly. Maybe too friendly for me. Recommended highly if you go for mileage but not my cup of tea. She said she was the daytime manager at Pigale last year and I saw her last Friday she was helping out Candice (the new short brunette dancer) with her own acquaintances. Wanted to take Stacy to CR too but she always walked alongside the path between DJ booth and the bar at the other end with her head up looking straight ahead. Regretfully she didn't make any money (she has to learn this is a strip bar not dance bar in approaching patrons) but her friend Candice was a faster learner and approached the patrons and made quite a bit today unlike last week. Good for her.

Yes thank you curmudgeon i wish I was there too. It was way past my sleeping time but maybe she will be there Saturday night. I only go out weekends as I am exhausted weekdays after work.

I agree with everything you say and I am all for upgrading too but hard to convince any businessman to invest when closure is only a few years away. I wouldn't do it myself if I was the owner really. But as I said what makes a bar great is the angels who work there not table and chairs. So the chairs are old so what? Are they unsafe? Are they bacteria infected? Did anyone get sick being there? Did the ceiling collapse on anyone's head? In spite of the need for upgrade the fact remains that Barbarellas can attract the highest quality of dancers in Ottawa in terms of beauty and class and I named a few dozen who have been recommended highly on this very board by most established members past few months alone. Dancers feel safe because the Champagne rooms are open and also because the cameras are in the Champagne rooms and a few I spoke with would never dance anywhere else because of those factors. And open rooms and cameras don't bother me at all as ladies' safety comes first in my book. I have great memories in this bar and met the greatest people and many I still care about and hate to see their income being hit or well being suffer in any way and hard for me to witness what appears to be a deliberate and coordinated effort by just few to put down and discredit this great bar by spreading rumors or making public unproven or unsubstantiated allegations or exaggerating the negative aspects while ignoring all the positives. I am not going to stand by and say nothing when I see that the people I care about could be hit or suffer. Do you realize what you do? You are not only attacking the bar but more so attacking the dancers' incomes and well beings which for most is the only source of income who are mostly students or single mums. It is bad enough for them as is, then don't make it worse for those who used to be your own friends not long ago!!. I am sorry if I am coming out too harsh. I don't have any self serving reason or reasons for my positivity. I am here to promote dancers and promote the strip bar industry and would do what I can including opening threads like the poll I conducted (even if it is pretty meaningless as one "unbiased"!!! member stated and thanked for by another!!!) or threads to remind people that Ottawa Gatineau bars rock and encourage people to frequent more and support their local bars and many posts promoting and highly recommending many deserving dancers. Even if I have to so called as claimed cherry pick data. If this thread was about Barefax under attack then I would have said that Baredax was voted a close first among Ottawa bars by the poll to make it look as positive as possible!!!! On second thought to whoever wishes to boycott then go ahead if you wish and deprive yourself of best quality dancers as it is your prerogative and then all these beautiful dancers will be free for me :).

Thanks for keeping us up-to-date on Pigale 1963Kennedy. I don't remember if I ever reviewed Tasha but she is the very cute very pretty blonde with angelic face who is very friendly and most exotic in the Champagne room. I know her for several years since she was out of town and dancing across the street. I recommended to her that place for her is Pigale couple of years ago and she is now very happy with her choice. Tasha is Highly recommended.

I didn't lash out as you claimed but I just pointed out the facts. I do acknowledge that the poll was conducted for NCR and Pigale came out first in NCR and Gatinue but Barbarellas was voted second best in NCR and best or number 1 among the bars that are located in Ottawa. I am calling spade a spade. I did not cherry pick the data I just stated the facts. I am sure if the poll was for Ottawa only, then most if not all Pigale votes would have gone to Barbarellas and Barefax too. And Yeah Barfax came close but voted second best in Ottawa and that is a fact and btw at the time as stated in my first post in the poll, I voted for Barefax as my top choice followed closely by Barbarellas. This is a positive board negativity is not welcomed. We should all respect that fact too.

Not number one in the area is your opinion that many cerbites including myself do not share. As for the second part of your comment, read the post that you are quoting!!!!. I said voted number 1 in Ottawa (which excludes Pigale which is in Gatineau). And it is not my poll. The thread/poll belongs to Lyla and the membership who participated in the voting process heavily.

Barbarellas was, is and will be top notch bar. What makes a bar top notch is the classy beautiful friendly skillful exotic dancers like many who are highly recommended by many reputable established cerbites who have in the past and present highly recommended current dancers like Phoenix, Kitty Kat, Sammie, Harvey, Bridgette, Ariel, Alexis, Katrina, Natasha, Anna, Georgia, Juicy, Nicole, Stacy, Samantha, Seven, Layla, Dallas, Raven, Maria and many more (and past great ones like Jenny, Mary Jane, Sasha Love, Megan and the list goes on to include hundreds more) who are currently dancing at Barbarellas not the table and chairs (which btw are not any more damaged or less hygienic than any other bar I have been to like Playmates or Taboo or even Pigale) and in that regard (skillful beautiful classy and friendly dancers) Barbarellas has been top notch for many years and will remain top notch for years to come. I don't know about you gentlemen but whenever I go to an SC I go for the ladies like above named highest quality dancers not the table and chairs. As I mentioned earlier the Saturday bartender told me that this popular bar (voted number 1 in Ottawa by cerb membership) will remain open for a few more years likely as much as FIVE.

She was probably the same girl I talked about above who was dressed up early last Friday at 8:00 pm because didn't make any money then.

I don't know when lease is up but when I asked the Saturday bartender (Mathew) if Barberellas will be closed in a year or two though he confirmed its incoming closure but he said not so soon but in a few years not just one or two. He said likely in FIVE years. Not sure how accurate this is but I was happy at least to see the chance that Barbarellas will be around for 5 more years. Barbarellas is the best bar (in my view) and voted number 1 in Ottawa by cerb membership a short while ago because it can attract the most talented most attractive dancers in town who stay there for a long time. Let's hope those who work there know better and more. In the meantime let's enjoy it while we can by frequenting this No. 1 bar as much as we can. H&K

You asked for replies to your post. Here it goes: First of all in my view dancing is a job and dancers/escorts are like actresses not real. It is not normal or right to be emotionally involved with a dancer or escort in any way or expect of them more than doing their job which is dancing at the club. They have their own private lives which must be respected and boundaries must not be crossed. It is like falling in love with an actress in a movie for the role she is playing. Of course we are all investors so no reason for so called broken heart!!!. Strip bars are not places to find girlfriend/boyfriend but a place of business for dancers to make money as it is their job and we are the customers and for us to relax from weekly stresses but it is a fiction or a pleasant dream. In summary being friends or caring for well being is fine but emotionally involved, being heart broken when rejected (no advances should be made at the first place) or falling in love is not okay. More importantly on your second comment, nobody is asking or revealing any personal information on private location of any dancer. or any other private information (remember most cases dancers' names are fictitious too). Whenever we recommend a dancer we have to say where she dances which is a public place and place of work for them and where there are security guards and managers in place and this will not jeopardize anyone's safety for above reasons and we have to say in which bar we see the recommended dancer (or respond when asked like this thread with a location and dates) so that interested patrons go and see her in that public location if they wish and that is good for dancer and patron (a win-win situation) but we do not say neither we know where she lives or her real name (if we know) or any other private information. Some dancers in fact advertise themselves here informing members where and when they work. In fact it was with Daisy's permission last night that I made the comments in above post as where and when she dances and she thanked me for that.

As expected Barefax was very quiet tonight. The only ones I saw and can recommend are Daisy (already reviewed) and a young lady new to Barefax (from NuDen) and her name is Minx. Another lady by the name of Star also danced for me. She is tall, relatively tanned skin half European and half Jamaican and is very talkative. Minx has a very cute face. Half Russian and half Native so she is mixed. Minx is very friendly and classy and slim and sexy. She performed a great stage dance and I also enjoy my time with her in the Champagne room very much. I highly recommend her if you like very friendly very cute spinner type mixed race cuties. She has been dancing at Barefax for a month now.

Yes it is unfortunate and happens to me a lot more recently and in my case it is not just an attempt to gouge me for extra song(s) but they actually do it as I pay and don't argue. Most often they start at the end of the song and charge for full (at Barbarellas specifically). That said it is best to boycott the dancer who does that rather than the club as the club has no role or fault in all this (make the one who gains $20 or $40 in short term to lose hundreds in long term as I for one boycott that dancer no matter how pretty she maybe). Dancers also moving from club to club. The dancer for which you boycotted the club may be next day in a club you have not boycotted. Beside this is not club specific and happens everywhere so you may be left with nowhere to go. I also don't feel comfortable to share the names of those dancers who gouge in public or private just in case for the one in a thousand possibility that I maybe mistaken.

Arrived at 3:00 pm hoping to see several of my favorites in this bar but none were there. So I order a drink hoping that things may change. Four dancers in total. Three ebony ladies and two patrons. The other dancer was a nude dancer at Barefax for a couple of years is now topless dancer at Barbs went on stage as I arrived. Left at 3:30 as my first drink is always non-alcoholic so that I can drive home safely and legally if I leave soon. I am guessing that likely it is same in all other strip bars today. The weather is just too nice today after months of wintry weather and rainy spring. I recommend going to SCs today after 9:00 or 10:00 pm if you wish to avoid disappointment. I am going to downtown for a walk myself and may drop by another SC later at night for some extra fun.

Actually the no contact $10 table dance is back at Pigales now. I saw girls dancing on corner tables. And there is a big sign informing patrons about no contact $10 table dancing in case you are interested since you brought it up but many others maybe interested to know this too.

I had a hard week at work so left work early to Pigale for a fun afternoon and free buffet (I do leave generous tip though). The 4:00 pm traffic from Ottawa to Pigale did not help to relax me either so I recommend that if you live in Ottawa then leave earlier for Pigale as I was on the road of less than 5 miles for 45 minutes. But I was hopeful to see my favorites Eva or Jamie or better both to relax me with their usual Pigale style very exotic dance on the Champagne room. Arrived at 4:15. It was dead and a few topless dancers on stage until 5.00 didn't help either. Left the stage to a table nearby and that was when dancers started coming one after another asking to go downstairs. Unfortunately I didn't find any one attractive or nearly as attractive or friendly or down to earth as ladies at Barbarellas or Barefax but rather business oriented though the fear of being stuck in another traffic jam going back kept me staying for hours at Pigale. Neither Eva or Jamie were there. The only attractive ones were 2-3 dancers definitely new to Pigale and likely out of town and very likely new to strip dancing who took a strip bar as a dance bar where some men beg for dance. Walking along the path between DJ booth and the bar at the other end at least 20 times with their nose up and looking straight not talking to anyone. I saw the most attractive one a skinny short haired blonde likely 18 years old all dressed up at 8.00. She didn't make a dime in all 4 hours I was there. It was good (not great) between 5:30 to 7:00 when they had shorter breaks and more stage dancing when buffet was open but it was back to dead zone again at 800 pm. The buffet brought in about 3 dozen or so more people at 6:30. I also saw a few other regulars from Barefax. About half of dancers performed topless stage dancing all three songs. To be honest I wished I had gone to Barefax instead as strip bars are for watching nude dancers and have fun private dancing with exotic dancers.

I have reviewed her (Daisy) in the Barefax thread. She is back to Barefax (from her usual NuDen) as she used to dance at Barefax two years ago as well. I saw her at Barefax two Fridays ago (I switched my Friday afternoons from Barefax to Pigale because barefax management stopped serving the Buffet). She told me she dances Saturdays at Barefax too so try Barefax tomorrow afternoon. Edit: Daisy was there tonight Saturday (and this Saturday afternoon). She said she never danced at NuDen (my mistake) but she is back to dancing at Barefax after a year of break. She dances Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I told her she has very positive reviews here and that people are asking about her and she was VERY happy to hear that.
