The first week of back-to-school traffic.

Not at all. I'm more concerned with the attitude of the dancer. I don't want to interrupt anyone during a conversation or their break time. I suppose I could ask if they're busy before continuing further.

That's good to know. Thanks. I've only been once and had no problems but I was sitting by myself in a corner seat in full view of the stage and bar. It's a fine line. Do you sit and wait and get no attention or be more bold and maybe end up looking like a jerk? I guess it all depends on how warm you want/need your lap to be.

Barefax review
Kilt Boy replied to cool cucumber's topic in Ottawa Discussion - Stripclubs & Dancers
I've been in a few times since last checking in. I don't think it is necessary to report all of my activity. Friday was a bit of a different day. I am finishing up 2 weeks of vacation and needed a break from all the cleaning, moving, digging, sorting, etc. I'd been very good about taking care of myself the whole time: wearing a back and knee brace when working hard and only going at about half-speed to pace myself so I'd be able to keep up the pace for 2 weeks. Friday, I forgot my brace and put my back out. To recover, I decided to go someplace dark and inviting. That had beer. And pretty girls. Anyway, it was more comfortable to put on a pair of shorts than to strap on my regular kilt, so that was the first time that anyone there had ever seen me wearing a bifurcated garment. I wasn't 10' inside the door before I was accosted by 2 of my regulars shaking their heads because they just couldn't believe it. The first said that she was genuinely upset to see me without a kilt on. I'll admit, the experience was more than slightly different without my regular attire, but I also had a bad back and that put a bit of a damper on my regular flexibility. Eva treated me well. Gently, even. Then I gave her a rub down. I found that actually helped me. I took a bit of a break then to have a couple of drinks and chat with my friends and a couple of other girls. Natalia is fantastic to chat with and so are Stacy, Tamika, Emily, Tiffany, and Tasha. After a while I got the attention of Trina and we drank and talked and had a great time upstairs. She really needed a back rub and almost fell asleep by the time I was done. Anyway, things haven't changed that much. Barefax is still the place to go for me. I'm always treated more than well. It should be great once they move that monstrosity from the parking lot in front. Remember, now is the busy period. University students will be flooding the market and the ballet with their rowdy presence so try to give them a chance. They may not have any idea how to act. I should get a hat made that says REGULAR so any new people there know who to go to for advice. Or, hopefully, who to buy drinks for. From now until the end of the year, the girls may be calling the months: Stacktember Stacktober Stackvember Stackcember This is where they put money away for the long, dead winter. -
I tried being young once. It didn't take. You're doing a pretty good job of shoring up your defenses on this one, but I'm still going to disagree. Relax. Have a beer. Wait your turn. I've been having a great time with a dancer at times and tried to push her back onto the floor to make some more money, and have been told that they'd rather just be talking to me. So, it isn't always about the money as you can see. Keep that in mind. If you don't get to the girl you want on this trip, don't sweat it. Maybe next time. This kind of behaviour normally ends in a fight at a bar, so why would you expect any different in a dance hall? I mean, we're not animals. Right? You can buy me a beer any time, buddy. Probably while we're waiting for a lady to drop by. Actually, lately it's been the other way around. The dancers complain that they can't get to me because I always have someone at my table/on my lap/getting a massage, or I'm in the CR. I have no problem calling someone over that I plan to spend on while in this situation, either. They all know the way it works with me. I'm everybody's confidant/masseur/soft shoulder, but they aren't going to get in the way of someone else making a dollar either. Yes, they have the power to say no to a client. However, they aren't going to say no to another contractor. Also, they know it isn't personal and that they can slip right in next to me when I get back like nothing happened. Reputation matters. Mine has cost me a lot of time, money, and life experience. Being a dick can be part of that if you act like one. In most cases, dancers have long memories. That's my experience, anyway.

Taking 2 weeks vacation during the most beautiful time in the summer, and doing nothing but re-organize, re-stack, build, clean, and work on the house. I guess this will probably make us happier in the long run because we've been living in a pile of unopened boxes for 8 years. With getting the garage rewired, I now have a starting point to work from to clean out there as well. Then I can move all my powered tools out of the basement again. #sigh

A pony panel. The power went off in my garage over the winter and it was an old armoured cable buried underground. My sparky wouldn't touch it, so I had to dig an 18" deep trench from the house to the garage so they could wire me up. I now have 40 amps running out there that I can upgrade if I need to. This is for my workshop, but I think that should be enough. $1500 #ouch

Turn-offs for a lady

Maybe it would save some time to not bother putting your rates and times in your ads. -

Any old laptop. Download Kodi onto it, then follow the instructions on their site. Connect it to your tv with an HDMI cable and you can be watching whatever you want in less than 30 minutes. Set it up on any computer to test it out. The software is free! It amazes me that people pay for a box. I have a 5-year-old laptop doing this for me AND I can surf the web on my big screen. Get a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and you're all set.

Samantha Fox was the 'it' girl? Perhaps, the 'tit' girl.

I told her that and turned her down several times. I took her upstairs more than a few times, don't get me wrong. After a while, I just started saying no on principle. Hey, at least it isn't glitter anymore.

Barefax review

The BBQ event on Friday was a mixed bag. There were a lot of beautiful women on over lunch. Probably 20+ for the showcase. Not every table was filled, but it was pretty close. The waitrons were working hard to keep the table orders filled. If you're one of the MANY guys who came in for one beer and loaded up on the burgers, hot dogs, fries and onion rings, watched the girls for 20 minutes and then left ... well, I'm pretty sure my tone conveys my feelings for you. Most of the spenders stuck to their regulars and a lot of the contractors were not happy. They all talk to me, and I got an ear full. I was barely downstairs long enough to have 2 drinks and a few short talks because I wanted them to get back on the floor without wasting too much time. I spent way too much and still had to leave earlier than I wanted to because of a delivery at home. I can only do so much. Still, I did feel appreciated, as I do every time I drop in. A pity more patrons didn't show up with the right attitude. -
How far is too far?

To be clear, I mean spitting in the mouth or face. Not cool. I have no experience with the other. Using a bit of saliva for certain activities is certainly reasonable, fun, practical, and pleasurable. -
A gluten-free cookie bar as a treat for one of my favourite waitresses. It was Customer Appreciation Day at the club, and I may have gotten the theme wrong. Anyway, she wasn't in until later, so I asked one of my other favourite waitresses to give it to her. She got a bit pouty until I reminded her of the many ways that I'd already shown my appreciation to her.

Taking a half-day off for a delivery that never showed up. When I contacted them to see what the superfuck happened, they said they were sorry for any inconvenience and it would be delivered TODAY between 4-5. They'll TRY to call me with 30 minutes notice before delivery, if they remember. I am having some difficulty to even. #GRRRRRRR Additional comments: They did call, and they did deliver. At 5:30. So, more than 24 hours late. Thanks, Robert Trucking.

Looking for Male Strippers!

There are often burlesque shows at either the Velvet Room or the Bourbon Room. Sorry, I've never gone and can't remember which it is. My friends keep trying to get me to participate. If you could find out which place it is, they might be able to help. Ah. A quick Google search shows that it is the Bourbon Room. Here's how to do that: http://bfy.tw/DRcy -
Woo! Sounds like quite the weekend you have planned.

Best compliment you ever got?

I just took a couple of lovelies to heaven and they waited in line for me to rub them down. I think this might be a viable career option again.
