A quick followup: I finally got together with Nikki. She is a nice little slice of light caramel (she even gave me a chocolate when she sat down with me). She had just gotten on the floor and was starting to work a table of guys. She spotted me, got up and came over to give me a great big hug. I guess we HAD hit it off. Holy shit! I know Spanish girls are supposed to be firey (and this girl is a real firecracker in the back), but if I say no ... move on. Don't put down the other girls. Don't insult me. Just move on. Drunk is not my type. This is the second time she has pulled this exact same stunt. No thank you. I know it was slow and she wasn't meeting her target, but that's life.

It may be easier for me because I've done it. I've taken my clothes off (and so much more) for money. I've helped girls pick out wardrobe. I've helped them with routines, walking, conversation, attitude, so I'm pretty good at seeing the whole picture. It means I can spot the bullshit a long way off and move on quickly. I think that makes the experience better for everyone. So, yeah. I prefer strip clubs to other forms of adult entertainment. It's what works for me.

I saw an ancient dude in the club today, and I thought, "He sure looks happy." He was with one of my regular girls and I surreptitiously watched them in the mirrors. He was just chatting. He bought her lunch. She seemed to bring a great deal of joy into his day just with her company. She wasn't chasing the dollars, she was being a good person. I've done the same thing. I've spent hours talking to bored housewives who were just glad to get out of the house for a while, have a drink, and maybe see a strange dick up close. Getting past the game is worth it, and that's what I try to do. I engage. I question. I push. Some girls aren't into that. I'm not going to be their friend, probably, but I think I'm worth getting to know a little bit. So are they.

So, I walk into the club and take control. I puff up and throw off confidence. I order a beer and scan the room. If I see someone I like, just holding eye contact is enough to bring her to me. There are no complicated games, no texting tag to make contact. If we hit it off, I'll throw some money at her in the back. If not, maybe there is someone else. There are plenty of clubs and lots of lovely ladies out there. More every year. That's good, because I'm not stopping.

Massage or escorts are out of the question, because I can't afford to pay for that kind of time. That leaves strip clubs. I've come to realize that what I like the most about clubs is that I can get what I want, flip off a few 'dance coupons' and go have a beer. I can even spend more time with the girl afterward if I want. I like the variety, and I enjoy the visual aspect of it. Having sex is having sex, but those first few minutes when she is rubbing herself on you and teasing you before you get going, that's magic time for me.

I've been there, and there, and even in there. I've done that, and all of that, and even a little of that. I'm in a relationship right now, but we're really just roommates at this point. We haven't had sex since 2004. I still really like the IDEA of sex, but I just have a hard time fitting it into my schedule. It takes a really long time. Like, a REALLY long time. That sounds great. It's every guy's dream to be able to pleasure a woman for a long time. However, when that starts to become the new normal, it gets harder and harder to find the time. I don't mind not getting off. I've come to accept it. My girlfriend felt a bit discouraged as well, so we just put that all aside. Now it's just a wall between us and we never talk about it. Getting it up isn't a problem. There are lots of dancers who will attest to that as a goddamn fact. There are a few who have even tried to topple the tower, but my defences are strong. I won't say no, but I will ask them to stop after a while.
