  1. Thanks General! That totally resounded with me about having a sense when the time is up because you always book the same amount of time for appointments; I imagine you also know how long you can "manage", as it were! :icon_wink:
  2. There are always tidbits about clock watching on here and wanted to share my 2cents. Being called a "Clock Watcher" is NOT a compliment by ANY means is it? But let's get real shall we? A set appointment is a particular time from beginning to end. Obviously, if someone were to constantly and overtly be looking at their watch it would put one off. However, if I Dare to look in the direction of the clock I do not want to be called a "CW"! In fact, it would at times be appreciated if visitors Were CW'ers from time to time....instead of s l o w l y dressing and chatting 10 - 15 minutes after said time. No, it is not that I have been called that Bad Name, but do I look at the clock? You're damn right I do; certainly discreetly, it is not as though I am saying, "Honey, move your shoulder - I can't see the time." One Must be attentive to time (as with say a RMT, it is up to them to tell when the service is completed). In my opinion, the provider ought to be watching. Yes, I have gone over time (and very rarely thanked for it or compensated with a courtesy tip), but please do not take advantage of this kindness. It seems to me that if you look at the time you are criticized and if you are generous with it you are taken advantage of (somewhat self-imposed in order to maintain a good rep). This simply is not right and wanted to share my opinion. I welcome you to share yours as well.
  3. The NEWS - Always; I am a news junkie...I need help
  4. I like to stare out the window and watch the show! I usually pull out old tunes to listen to, last time was... Simon and Garfunkle's greatest hits!
  5. I never win and am very disgusted over it all. Actually, I prefer to go to McDonald's for java; it is really good and usually not a big line!
  6. I have been going through the minutes like crazy, the long distance does not help at all! In about 10 days or so my 1-800 # should be up and running ' yes! It will be 1-something something something-lovelyd !
  7. I am actually on the hunt for a pet friendly hotel in Ottawa too; I have a puppy who will be "attending functions" with me also! :icon_wink: Perhaps we should exchange notes!
  8. I know it is not in the area but wanted to share... Hamilton has one downtown I have been to plenty of times! I think it is called The Newstand...VERY FUN!
  9. I happen to have a very special client who enjoys some bush and so these days I am in the "growing" stage - where you can see it but shave where it counts! It's sort of like party in the front, business in the middle! :icon_wink:
  10. Thanks Megan for the encouragement :) Hmmm, was thinking sooner than July ' perhaps April (early).... Now on to hotels.... Would love reco's for nice (I am turning into a hotel snob - lol), discreet hotels! Thanks in advance all!
  11. Hello Everyone! :) I am really hoping for some help here.....(crossed fingers) For the months of August, September and October I will in all likeliness be temporarily relocating to Fredericton. If I decide I like it there I just may make it a semi-permanent thing. In the meantime, I will be seeking a place to hang my stilettos! :stiletto: I would be seeking a trendy, busy area, hopefully near a park as I will be bringing my beautiful golden retriever with me! Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction or even give some recommended apartments? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! And "YES", I will be available for intimate encounters! Thanks everyone!
  12. Currently I am beginning The Sentimentalists, by Johanna Skibsrud. I need to block off some Reading Time for myself so I can really dive in without any distractions! Good read so far! (Should be as it won a Giller).
  13. A 2011 Camaro!!! VROOOOMMMM!!!!!!! In Synergy Green to boot!
  14. Good Evening Gentlemen, For a while now I have been wanting to tour more and the opportunity is finally here! I have had a few fellas inquire about me visiting Kingston, but want to see if it would be worth the trip (I think it might be!). I am not advertising that I am coming....just putting out some "feelers" - so to speak! :icon_wink: Any input is greatfully appreciated! xo
  15. I believe it really should go without saying that for a client to just "Pop-up" on your fb requesting friendship is completely unacceptable. So too, an sp ought never to barge into a clients personal matters. I had this happen where a client found me and I had to very kindly decline. It's not that I wasn't interested in being "friends" in a client/provider professional relationship. Certainly I will be Sincerely Friendly with you, but I just don't want you to know all the private bits of me. This is reasonable. I only have ONE personal life ' please respect the fact that I want to guard this!
  16. I have this one in my head too! Additional Comments: Love that one too Battlescar! I have the one in my head about retirement somethingorother.... "I never imagined we'd be able to retire that way we have now - we're alright!" I would post it but don't want to spend forever looking for it! :icon_rolleyes:
  17. I agree! Most of us have been very fortunate. Keep in mind too what is "poor" in one area of the world is great wealth in another! Thanks for sharing everyone! :bigclap:
  18. Well Ottawa I do visit fairly regularily.... Sooooo, I am guessing that there are not many Barrie area fellas on here......? I have friends there so I may just go anyway to visit some of the old gang! ;)
  19. I remember several years ago I qualified for low income housing. In small town Saskatchewan my options were limited so I ended up living in an old folks home LOL!!! It was actually really funny and interesting!
  20. I have been thinking a great deal lately of finances as I am revamping my budget, trying to "trim the fat" where I can etc. It seems to me that there are more and more people really struggling to make ends meet - just putting bread and milk on the table and paying one's electric bill is enough to get you in the red sometimes! Looking back I see that I have had times of little and times of plenty. Both have their positives and negatives, certainly posing different challenges....but I can honestly say that I have been just as happy with little as with much. Certainly during times of poverty there is a nagging sense of not being secure which to me is a huge issue. However, for myself being financially secure does not = happiness, although it certainly does help to know that your cup runneth over. I had to laugh this morning when I thought back to just how I had to scrape....One thing I did was help myself to extra condiments at places like McDonald's - squeezing the "free" ketchup into my empty ketchup bottle! It seems just ridiculous now, but at the time it seemed to me like it could help. lol Even now, I find myself looting my hotel room for terrible soaps that last forever, horrible shampoos that strip your hair of moisture, etc. I guess old habits die hard. It would be interesting to hear of other saving methods others have creatively incorporated into their lives to "make do"....
  21. Hello gentlemen! I was considering travelling to Barrie for a week but was wondering if there are enough interested parties in your neck of the woods! Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks!! xo
  22. Just as I was inquiring about recommended hotels in which to stay in Brandon, so I also send out a query in regards to those in Winnipeg.... Please keep in mind the need for key cards in elevators etc. as we all know that they are not ideal and may result in indiscretion :icon_redface: I would love to hear from both the gentlemen and the ladies! Thanks all!
  23. GUILTY!!! Sometimes I even do other people's tire kickin' when they are not around....does this make me a bad person?
  24. I would say the same as Cat and Loralee...50/50 I had an elderly client (in his 90's - what a machine!) who needed help to trim his nether-regions; I had no problem with this and would always help someone in this way!
