  1. In my view gifting is fun. It is fun to think of the appropriate gift for a lady, it is fun shopping for it and fun planning how to present it to her. The most fun of course is if she is surprised and likes it! The gift has nothing to do with the donation. Rather, It is just something to do for fun. With that viewpoint I typically buy gifts for ladies I have gotten to know as opposed to a first or or early visit. That makes sense, you can't hope to buy the perfect gift without knowing the lady! I learned that the hard-way. I once bought jewelry on a first date for a lady travelling to our city for the first time. I thought it was great idea because the Jewelry is made in our province so it was meant to be a thank-you for visiting us gift, and a token of our province. However, as soon as I meant her i realized that the color and style of what i bought did not really suit her. Oh well! Since that first date, I have gotten to know the lady very well and have given her a few successful gifts. One thing I have done on a first date with a lady visiting for the first time is to include in the envelope a list of my favorite restaurants and my comments on them, and sites to see in our city. Ladies visiting for the first time appreciate that. Gifts do not have to be expensive. One very successful gift was a calender with the theme of the lady's favorite TV show. Again, you have to know the lady to know her favorite show. I do not buy gifts for every date, only when I have a good idea for a gift. Like anything, common sense prevails. For example on a 5:30PM date I will bring wine. But a 9:30Am date, i do not bring wine. If i think of it, I ask if she would like me to pick up a tea or coffee etc, but i always ask, never assume. I am afraid I do not understand tipping and perhaps i am taking the word to literally. I have said this recently in another post. I never discuss money and the last thing i would ever dream of doing is fumble for extra cash at the end of a date because the service was at some acceptable standard. These ladies are professionals. The services is going to be good or I would not be there. We tip waiters and cabdrivers for service, and we do not tip lawyers, accountants, interior decorators, landscape designers, etc when they do work for us because we know it will meet a professional standard. I do sometimes put a bit extra in the envelope if the lady's suggested donation is less than what I consider market. That is a jester of appreciation as opposed as an amount contingent on some level of service. My, I did tend to ramble on this one....
  2. .....Swam more laps in the pool than I have ever done.....
  3. WOW! It is hard to believe that a few years have now gone by since I first met Celina and I have had the good fortune of connecting with her a number of times since. I always have a great time. Even though I am a lot older, Celina makes me feel very comfortable with her easy going style. When I first see her I always comment on how wonderful it is to put my arms around her and feel her soft young skin. Kisses, cuddles and lots of other stuff are always sure to follow. Celina describes herself very well in her ads and site. She is a curvaceous lady, and very accommodating. We on CERB tend not to provide much of the erotic details of encounters, but It would be remiss for me not to say the eroticism is fabulous. I kid her that she has developed amazing skills for such a young lady and even though I am much older, she is way away ahead of me in imagination and creativity (lol). So if you are planning on seeing Celina then do not delay because you will enjoy. Be sure to treat her right and to be fair to her, I suggest booking as much in advance as you can.
  4. Highlight of the day... well that's easy ITS OPENING DAY of the baseball season! (actually it was yesterday for some teams)
  5. Why is it I always seem to type "form" when I mean "from" and "from" when i mean 'form" and of course auto-correct does not recognize the error because it is not a spelling area.
  6. As for a woman, I like all sorts of body styles and a woman that dresses in a way that complements her features is very sexy. On first sight the eyes and smile has most impact. I realize the question is on "first sight" but an attractive woman to me is confident, considerate, kind, acccepts you for who you are but at the same time brings the best out of you and appreciates your cooking even though she is a way better cook than you. As for a man, I like a man that hits well with runners in scoring position, has power and speed, a good throwing arm, never gets thrown out at third, never misses a sign, and plays his position to a gold glove standard. Or to say it simply, Andre Dawson!
  7. Why is it that when you are expecting a message from a CERB lady to confirm an appointment it seems to take FOREVER for your computer to boot up!
  8. How to properly ask for this? Well, I think for you it will be easy, just ask for it the way you did in your post. It is that easy! I like all the things you like and experience them by just asking. As for GFE, I do not have anything to tell you, because I do not really understand the term myself, even though there is lots said about it in other threads. it appears to mean different things for different people. I never use the term. "Girl friend Experience"? What is that? I am an experienced older hobbyist, and in my view I much rather work on the reality that we are hobbyist and provider rather than the fantasy of being girlfriend/boyfriend. That way I can focus on being the best client I can for the encounter to be all it can be, and the provider can do the same.
  9. I wish I could have a good reason for "Zealous4U" but the truth is when I was re-registering to be a CERB member I took about 30 seconds to think of the name when really, it deserved more consideration. I and those that know me consider me to be passionate, hence the Zealous, and those that know me say I am sensitives to others, hence the 4U. I wish I gave it more thought because lets face it "Zealous4U" is kinda lame (you won't hurt my feelings if you agree). I say I was re-registering because i was previously on CERB as "Lefty32" a baseball reference to a famous left handed pitcher who wore #32. Not surprisingly the 32 was often mistook as a age reference. The truth is it has been decades since I was 32, and on the other side, be assured I was born a number of years later than 1932(lol). So. given my history of lame names I think I need a rename but will not rush into it: Here are a couple I am thinking of along with the reasoning: - Mr Carlson (reference to a character in a very good TV comedy "WKRP in Cincinnati" and there is perhaps a physical resemblance" - Linedrive - Baseball reference - 'doubleplay - again a baseball reference and perhaps hobbying I will appreciate any comments. PM if you wish!
  10. Why is it that lately I always seem to be asking "why is it?" but yet when Nicolette started this cool "why is it" thread I can't think of a single "why is it" to to put in her "why is it" thread.....so...Why is it?..perhaps an age thing?
  11. Rounding Third

Great photo. The beads and glasses add a definite charm!
  12. As a hobbyist who is not so new all I have to say is that you have received good advice from the previous two posts. As well, good for you for thinking this through and asking questions. You are on the right track. Remember CERB ladies are very professional and they will put you at ease and will always have your interests first. As for tipping I suspect there is different opinions. My thought is that the last thing I want to talk about is money and i do not want to fumble for cash at the end of an engagement, so I always have my donations in an envelop to appear early and never discussed. I always assume I will be having a good time (it has always been a correct assumption so far) so usually I ensure the donation is in excess of their regular fee. Have fun!
  13. Absolutely correct. For the sake of clarity my second post was meant to be all humour poking fun at myself for not knowing about the Office and the tendency to change the subject to sports when i do not know what is happening. Greenacres99 explained he was also being humourous. I did not mean to accelerate the conversation to a debate on Saint John. This thread has gotten way beyond Julzie's original thread and she has explained that. So what do you say! We call it a day on this? But for the record the Flames really did thump the Penquins in 2001,and since then the Seadogs have won two Presidents trophies and a Memorial Cup.
  14. Actually this happened Friday..Receiving an unexpected Birthday treat of six cupcakes decorated for St Pat's day from a very, very, very, dear friend and lovely lady....
  15. Not receiving a thank-you or even an acknowledgement after going out of your way to do a nicety for someone. Makes you feel they don't care. I have noticed this happens a lot lately. Is "being stingy with thank-you's" a growing tend in our society??.. I wonder..
  16. I too am surprised to see this thread yet again. Like all cities in the Maritime except HRM, Saint John is not a metropolis. It is an industrial city. Its population is eclectic with a variety of income levels. The economy is what it is, not as strong as it could be but coming along. Like any city there are some who can't afford to play no matter what the economy. I have been on Cerb over 4 years. I have tons of fun. All of it has been in SJ. I always plan ahead and book well in advance I have never been a no-show and only once had to cancel unavoidably. Like any market of any service in any city, the market is only so big. There is a saturation point. This week and weekend I quickly counted 4 CERB visiting ladies advertising they are in SJ. There are also the local ladies.. Is it really so hard to figure? Who needs to do more planning?
  17. So sorry to hear about this, Katherine and hope you are ok. I realize this has to be tough to deal with but you are strong. Thank goodness it wasn't worse. Take care....
  18. I like Katherine because ...Oh! Oh! Let me see, there is a ton of reasons, so how can i possibly choose just one........ Indeed, Is it possible to pick just one? What to do? What to do? ...I know, for now I will say for her great new website.. and perhaps I will give more reasons later....
  19. Finally got enough picked up off the floor in my messy disorganized home office and was able to vacuum the carpet. First time in 2013! Pretty bad eh?
  20. Cable is ok for me. A guy wearing a business suit or business casual?
  21. Spring training has started.. Opening day is only five more weeks.. time for the smiling baseball avatar to reappear!
  22. Throwing my back out while shoveling snow.. pretty dumb.. especially since it can interfere with hobbying... However, it does give me a chance to catch-up with CERB goings on, but none the less, it is still sucks!
