Personally I really like the bitcoin idea, but besides a few tech-guys nobody is using it (yet). I'm sure it has great potential, but it will take years to grow out of its niche. What I really don't like about paypal is not only the paper trail, but that your name is visible. This can easily exploited for blackmail (for both sides).
