My plow driver charges me $25 a plow. So, no, I wouldn't give him 1 or 2 hours of my time. I'd rather do a call for my rate, and pay someone to plow my driveway. However, as I posted earlier, one of my regulars was a plow driver, and he would plow my driveway as a tip on top of my fees. He sometimes swung by and plowed because he was in the area, even though we didn't have an appointment. I loved that about him, and even though he always paid for an hour, and I tried numerous times to tell him he only needed to pay for 30 minutes, as he was typically in and out in under 30 minutes. In the summer though, he wasn't as busy, so would stay the hour, and I would give him extra time no questions asked if he wanted it. It was a mutually beneficial arrangement. The point is, he understood my fees, didn't try to haggle my rates by saying "I'll plow you, if you let me plow you too". I miss him, but not the snow!

I'm not aware of common rules. However, there are some things that some ladies do, that I dislike. Talking negative about others. Don't talk smack about someone just because you don't think she is attractive, or charges too much/too little. Gossiping with clients about other ladies. Just don't do it. If the client is the gossiper (and it happens more then most realize), nip it in the bud. Change the subject, tell him you don't want to hear it. Help others when you can - if this is something you can do. I reach out to new providers when I see they are struggling. However, 9 times out of 10, it bites me in the ass. Some just seem to think they know everything, and will then think you are trying to steal their clients, when all you were doing was trying to offer some advise based on what you see. I still help, but am cautious about letting new providers into my life. I've worked in agencies, so know every trick in the book some use. I can spot it a mile away, and steer clear of those that use these tactics. I do wish there was some common etiquette in this industry. However, there are always new people entering and they always think they know everything. They either fizzle out, or explode into a cloud of smoke and loose all faith in others. This is a tight community and the legit providers help one another when they can. Yes, women do have issues with other women, and cat fights occasionally occur. Feelings get hurt, sides are taken, but at the end of the day, we support each other when we can.

It seems a lot of providers are noticing that others are posting ads on backpage using their email address. It does not appear that they are actually logging into their bp account and using their credits, but when they post an ad, they use the email address associated with your backpage account. I suspect they are doing this to circumvent their banned accounts. There might be other reasons, but this is the only thing I can think of. So log onto your account to make sure there are no unauthorized ads. If something is suspicious, report this to backpage.

I know the NS section increased from when I first joined. Used to be a couple of posts here and there. It was all about Ottawa. I'm glad NS and NB are active. Just need to get PEI and NFLD more active.

The reality is that BP does not have a discussion forum. Lyla does. Yes, its frustrating when guys are asking about new BP ladies, or ladies that have been around and can't be discussed. However, the guys do want to see more then their regulars. This is the nature of the business. So, yes, they come here to see if anyone has seen a new girl posting on BP. I always try to encourage these new ladies create an account here. Most don't know about it. Lyla is the only site that allows civil discussions. So, instead of complaining, lets encourage it.

I never ask for pics, however a lot of guys send them. I personally don't want them to do this, and it doesn't make them step to the front of the crowd. However, when I'm meeting them at a hotel that is key carded, and they have to meet me in the lobby, it sure makes it easier to figure out who they are if 3 guys all step off the elevator at the same time. That's really the only time I personally like getting pictures. However, I like it if they ask first before sending, and please no naked pics.
