  1. Finally - things are melting, but its cold and windy today. Officially winter is over - right?
  2. It really is unfortunate. I grew up in a big city - and you learned quickly not to make eye contact when walking down the street. When I moved to a smaller town - I was amazed at the difference. Everyone makes eye contact and says a friendly hello or a nod of hello. It took me a while - do I know you? Have we met, and I've forgotten I've met you. After a while, I realized, this is how it is supposed to be. That the big city way of ignoring those around you is not a fun way to live. I will never live in a big city for this very reason - I could never go back to living life that way. I once came across a lady being beaten up in the middle of the street. There were two cars ahead of me - one a taxi and another a 30 something big guy. Do you think either of them offered any help? The taxi driver could have called dispatch - but he didn't. Once he had his break - he left. The next car did the same. Not me - shit, I almost ran the guy into the hydro pole to stop him. By this time, he was actually stabbing her in the back - I can still remember seeing the whites in her eyes with each stab he took. She jumped into my car and I was able to speed away and get her to safety. She was grateful, but refused additional help and sadly I never found out what happened to her after. I took a risk - and sometimes I wonder why I would take such a chance. However, I will never walk by someone in distress. Must be my years as a first aid attendant. Thank you RG for pointing out the Good Samaritan act - there are many who are not aware of it. For those that don't know - if you help someone, you cannot be sued for assisting them. The only time is if you do something that is beyond your abilities - like amputating a leg if you are not a surgeon (unless it is an extreme situation like being in the middle of no where). MightyPen - thank you for that example. There really is a difference in the size of cities. However, I think they have also done studies of a similar nature - obviously homeless people, vs those that are wearing suits on the ground. Turns out, no matter where you live, if it is a homeless guy, they won't get help, but if you are in a suit, you are likely to get help. Meg - I'm sorry you fell - but, sometimes things happen for a reason, and you got to experience what life should be like and met a wonderful lady and I'm sure you made her day.
  3. To a very sexy lady, I enjoy reading your contributions and thoughts. You are on the cusp of hitting your 500 post mark and this milestone deserves to be celebrated!
  4. Happy Birthday Claudia. Hope St. Patricks days was extra special for you.
  5. I would make sure to ask for id - she seems like she is barely 14.
  6. Claudia - it's your birthday too! Hope its the greatest! To everyone else, Happy Birthday!
  7. I agree - you need to make sure the back ground is clear, no stains on your clothing etc. It's really hard when starting out for most ladies. Trying to sneak a picture in while no one is looking, not knowing what to do. Getting a friend is sometimes even harder - a lot of ladies don't want their friends to know what they are doing. A gentle reminder - you can always crop out what you didn't realize was in the back ground. However, a friend who is good at pictures is worth its weight in gold. Of course, professional pics are always the best, but if that doesn't work, sometimes a bad pic is better then no pic at all.
  8. If this is in the bait and switch - please elaborate. Asking people to pm you is not helpful.
  9. To a very sexy and smart lady - I hope you have the greatest birthday! xoxo
  10. Bad Girls - absolutely one of my all time favorites! Additional Comments: Happy Saint Patricks Day everyone. Hope you have fun, stay safe and play hard!
  11. For those that are worried that they may be "bothering" a lady on her day off - don't know about others - I turn my phone off on days I am not working. I use sponsor ads and don't post everyday - even if I am working that day. My understanding is the difference between brief mode and gallery mode - all the sponsor ads are listed in gallery mode. So, if you are looking at gallery - you are actually looking at the sponsor ads. Might be wrong - but this is my take on it.
  12. Last time I checked - the pre-pay phone companies don't require you give them ID - you can create an account in the name of your choice - address can be a post office mail box too if you want.
  13. Called a lady who was selling her cemetery lot - the name of the cemetery was "Ocean View" - I was asking her all types of questions about what type of view the lot had and could I see the Ocean from the lot and silly questions like that. Of course, for those that live here, it is now where near an ocean - so no matter what lot you get, you won't get a view of the Ocean. She finally said "the cemetery is not near the ocean so you can't get a view of the ocean. BTW - if you are dead, what do you care the view is"? Another time, I called my neighbours child - told her she had won a prize from the radio station - a Newfoundland Puppy. She was so excited and of course her mom was freaking out "what kind of radio station gives away dogs as a prize". She's trying to tell her daughter she can't have a dog - especially a Newfy dog. However, I knew they were getting their own dog the next day, so the kid wasn't too disappointed. Once she realized it was me, she always had this silly grin on her face when she saw me. Always been a prankster - always will be.
  14. Welcome to cerb. Anytime you don't know what acronym you are seeing - refer to this thread: http://www.cerb.ca/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1311 However, Urban Dictionary is your best friend if it doesn't appear on this thread. I've used this site many times! Again welcome!
  15. Let the public flogging begin! It's still snowing - dammit! There must be at least an inch of ice under the snow - but at least its a fluffy snow. FFS.
  16. I agree with Miss Jane - attacking someone who "YOU FEEL" has an opinion that is different then you needs to be silenced - then please stop. Could you clarify what lies and faulty logic is being stated? More important, do I now need to worry that my opinion is going to be bashed as well, because you feel somehow it is faulty? I like listening to everyones opinions - that is how I can formulate my own. I may not agree with it, but they are entitled to an opinion. Attacking someone is not cool - especially on this site. People have been kicked off for a lot less. I suggest you re-evaluate your opinions.
  17. It's already turned to rain here in Saint John - don't think its going to amount to much - not cold out, so it should melt everything soon!
  18. I really hope you have a great birthday to a very sexy lady!
  19. I ended up calling Rogers tech support for this.
  20. I agree - looking forward to the end of the bone chilling cold. Too bad you didn't have a great day, but hey, tomorrow is always another opportunity for a GREAT day. xoxo
