I was once a fan, but these days it's hit or miss. If you were once a fan of Anais, she's working independently in Montreal now and she is as wonderful as always! Well worth the short flight. -

Yes, Halifax has its benefits. It's a relatively short distance to get from one place to another, as long as you're not traveling during rush hour. It's a charming little city during the summer months. It has the basics one needs for existence. Thanks to global warming, the winters are becoming milder and milder in this part of the world. The people are friendly to your face. There are lovely parks and coastline just an hour's drive from downtown. If you're not a hard drinker intent on destroying your liver at an early age, or a raging coke head, it's a little hard to make friends, but whatever. Small cities tend to be cliquish. -

If you're doing a comparison on a per capita basis, then comparing Halifax to Toronto and Montreal is fair game. Let's say there are half a dozen in Halifax who I'd have any interest in. Montreal and Toronto? Hundreds each. I'd guess that per capita you're easily looking at 30X the selection when Montreal is only 10X the population of HRM and GTA only 15X. For some of us, variety is the spice of life. If I wanted the same thing time after time, I'd get a girlfriend. -

Halifax has some great choices, but it doesn't have many great choices compared to other cities in Canada. I think that's pretty obvious. If one likes variety, this ain't the place for you. But then again, it's a small and relatively remote city, so that's to be expected. It is what it is. There's certainly no incall in Halifax anything like Aventuriere, that's for sure! -

I don't need to, but apparently you do. At any rate, Halifax is what it is; far from a plethora, it's a relative handful. The geographically closest oasis is Quebec City: https://aventuriere.ca/en/, but flying to Toronto or Montreal is quicker than driving to QC, I suppose. -

In a world where women can get prostate cancer, anything goes.

Personally, I don't think regular physical trauma to the prostate is good for its health; perpetual inflammation can cause prostate cancer. Though I understand it is meant to feel good to some men, when my doc presses my prostate, the last thing that pops into my head is 'pleasure'. Takes all kinds, I guess.

In my experience it indicated more often than not that bumfukkin was on the menu, but that was years ago.

I'm sorry, but this is not going to end well. If I had hair to rip out, I would. Do you have a death wish? I am simply speechless and dumbfounded. -

You may not like what I'm going to say, but...you created your situation, and you can de-create it just as easily. I love my dogs, but holy cow, seven big dogs with all their costs: vet, food, health insurance, etc. That's a lot of money going out. And then taking chances on living with a total stranger to help you take care of them? Honestly, that's a horror movie waiting to happen. Sell your house in the village. Give away all but your favorite one or two dogs. Butcher your chickens and sell 'em or put 'em in the freezer. Move to a much larger and diverse place. That's your answer right there. -

There are too many crooks and cheats out there to take anybody's word at face value, until you've gotten to know them well enough to make a considered determination. At any rate, if the OP gets satisfaction out of helping others and expects nothing in return (not even thanks or acknowledgement) then he should continue to do so if that's what makes him happy. Who knows, he might end up with enough good Karma at the end of his life to escape the cycle of reincarnation/damnation. If, however, he expects something in return then he is simply setting himself up for more misery and frustration. -

Odds are you interact with psychopaths on a regular basis. There is no sense burying your head in the sand. The best way to protect yourself against psychopaths/sociopaths is to learn how to identify them and keep them out of your life. That's part of the reason I'll never get married; they can be very good at hiding their true nature until it's too late. "According to Dutton, the ten careers with the highest proportion of psychopaths are:[17] CEO Lawyer Media (TV/radio) Salesperson Surgeon Journalist Police Officer Clergy Chef Civil servant" -

It's called being a psychopath: lack of empathy, totally immoral, no regard for others, only in it for personal gain, etc. etc. It's good to be a kind soul, but maybe find another outlet for it, like volunteering for a good cause. I'm not sure about other drugs, but I've seen cocaine turn relatively normal people into psychopathic demons who will screw over anybody and everybody in order to support their habit. Nothing matters to them anymore but the white powder. The spice.
