Ya if ever deposits are required, i would say 75% of the time you will get scammed. Its the easiest trick in the book. And this process was NEVER a requirement for many many years with both sides being satisfied. There is honestly no need for it. They might say "for their safety or security", but that is nonesense cuz you putting a deposit doesnt guarantee anything related to that, its just their remorseful approach. Or if they say to "book an appointment" thats also bs. You can book it when you show up. Im positive that none of them are so busy that they have client request around the clock! We are talking 1hr for most.
