SP's lying about their age
DaveM2 replied to littleprincessemma's topic in Escort Discussion for Nova Scotia
The false advertising really is obnoxious. There have been so many times where I see a girl advertising as mid 20s on a forum account made in 2010. Always do your research it can save you a trip. -
The one sided legality and normalization of sending money in advance has created a feeding frenzy for scammers. It's very low risk to run deposit scams which is why people doing these IRL ones always surprise me. Only a matter of time before they fuck with the wrong person. I guess these people are complete morons though I mean in this case they had it all set up but thankfully couldn't even bother to show up on time.

Name and number match with mixed reviews on the other forums.

GFE and PSE have become completely arbitrary terms at this point. If you care about a specific service you'll need to ask rather than assume they are using the same definition as you. Fortunately in this case she makes it very clear in the ad. -
Multiple cities, 47 pounds, ad text was clearly run through google translate, Oklahoma area code. 100% fake.
-
Alexis, her ad isn't up now but she works in Halifax or New Glascow fairly often.

Anyone get service from “Kate” ?

I'd say those concerns are valid if she has a guy answering her phone. You might have dodged more than a starfish experience here. -

I still find there's lots of scams with 902 numbers, I mean it's not like it's that hard to set up a number anytime I've used a text app I've had no problems getting one with 902. And then on the flipside lots of girls travel. -
There's been some cases of Asians with non-Asian pics recently, look up Verna, Baby, I'm sure there are others but not sure if anyone talked about them on here. Asians definitely do cycle ads and re-use pics, and are probably the worst offenders for multiple ads. There have been times where there's been like 10 ads and they all lead to the same 50 year old Asian woman.
-
If the pics seem way off from what they say their bust size, weight etc is that's a big red flag. You're probably dealing with a foreign scammer who isn't smart enough to match the info with the pics they stole. Especially with weight they assume it's in kg because that's what most countries use for weight so you end up with ridiculous stuff like girls who are 45 pounds.

A google search of her number returns ads under all kinds of different names, most of them have pics of completely different girls.

Yep, whenever I travel I always recognize so many of the scam ads from back home. Saves me a click lol. Another tip for new people search leolist for all of NS instead of just Halifax. That will let you quickly see when someone posts an ad in Halifax, Truro and Sydney at the same time. Easy tell for a scam. You can also scroll down after clicking on an ad and if the same account has other active ads they will show up. This will let you see if they are advertising in other parts of the country but it's not foolproof, do a quick search in some other cities in case they posted it from a different account.

https://www.leolist.cc/personals/female-escorts/nova-scotia/halifax_other_sexy_ciara_every_mans_dream_girl_incall_only-9102540 Anyone see her before? Same account posted identical ad but with a different number (Vancouver area code) back in January.

There's 24 profiles on the Halifax Tryst page, 10 are local providers who would be regularly available. I'll assume all of them are legit because I haven't heard otherwise. There's 2 local scammers who have been advertising regularly on that platform within the last few months, maybe there's 1 or 2 additional legit local providers who don't have an active profile right now? That's ~1/6 scams which is pretty high. LL is higher but a lot of the scams are really lazy and have obvious red flags. With Tryst the only way you could possibly identify scams is from looking on the review boards. If it's necessary to do that level of research anyways why not use the most widely used platform? I've seen dozens of girls in Halifax and only 1 of them had a Tryst profile, in contrast almost everyone on Tryst is regularly on LL. In theory the appeal of Tryst is that it filters out the scams but if it's not achieving that then what's the point? Especially if it's filtering out tons of legit girls who don't want to jump through all the hoops of signing up. Personally I'd rather sort out LL scams written by somebody with a 70 IQ than Tryst scams from a provider who built up a good reputation for several years then decided to start ripping people off with no warning. Maybe this is less common elsewhere but Halifax seems to have a lot of this shit going on lately so I think it's good to lay this out since I know there's a lot of new guys on here.

-There are tons of scams, use your head (your big one) and don't take unnecessary risks. The most common scam asks you to pay a portion of the fee in advance (deposit) and then they ghost you. There are some legit girls that will require you to pay in advance but if you refuse to pay a deposit you will filter out 99% of the scams. -Determining who is real and who is fake is a lot harder than people make it out to be. Verified pics on leolist are easily faked. Lyla and Tryst have a more thorough verification process but only some providers use them and they don't remove providers who scam people. Fake websites have been made in some cases. Some ads will link a random Onlyfans girl and steal her pics. Stolen pics don't always show up on reverse image search. It goes the other way too, sometimes legit providers will be really sloppy and their ad looks fake but they are real. -Your best resource to determine who is real and who is fake are reviews on forums but this is going to give you a very incomplete picture. Check all of the forums not just this one because a lot of providers travel. Shill reviews/accusations are usually extremely obvious, check who is posting (# posts, how long they have had their account) to determine how reliable the info is. Try to stick with recent reviews when possible. Remember reviews are subjective so take everything you read with a grain of salt. Reviews are better used to determine if someone is legit or not rather than the quality of the service. -Virtually all of the Asian girls on leolist use fake pics. Some will advertise as other races but you can tell by the really broken English. Occasionally there will be a traveling Asian provider with legit pics but they always have lots of reviews. -Keep in mind the laws and regulations for various institutions. The threat of police stings is overblown but hotels and banks have strict polices against their services being used for these kinds of activities. Maintain plausible deniability, that means have a excuse ready if someone talks to you, pay in cash only, pull out an old keycard when you walk into the hotel. Nobody is going to be actively searching for you so just blend in and act normal. -Your personal phone number is enough to get your full name and address, which some scammers will use to try and extort money. Just ignore these threats or even better use a burner phone so they can't get your info in the first place. -More broadly be very careful with giving out personal info. Like with deposits some providers require this information, you can decide for yourself whether that's an appropriate risk to take. -Avoid going to incalls in sketchy areas if possible. If you want to play it really safe only bring the cash you are going to spend, leave valuables at home, wallet stays in your car, use a burner phone. There have been instances of people getting robbed if you check the warning section but it's less common than your standard deposit scams and extortion. -Be straightforward in your texting, give them your first name, tell them how long you want, give them a time that would work for you. Use full sentences but keep it brief. Try to use reviews to get info because they hate playing 100 questions with clients. -Practice good hygiene. Shower+mouthwash right before your appointment, and if you show up and they ask you to again just do it. -Give the money in an envelope at the start of the appointment without having to be asked.

Your Classy Masseuse...Fake? Scam?
DaveM2 replied to rascal in ns's topic in Massage Discussion for Nova Scotia
I agree telegram is a big red flag and strongly suggests it's a foreign scammer. I don't think I've seen local providers use telegram once but that platform is very popular overseas and is notorious for scams in general. If you are able to prove the pics are fake that should be enough to take an immediate pass. I know some people like to try their luck with the Asian bait and switch girls but I've never been impressed when the door opens. -
I'll give a summary here because those links have 300+ posts between them, but if anyone wants to substantiate/evaluate these claims themselves all the info is in those 3 threads in the OP. She was originally a legit provider in Montreal for a few years, then started to play games with stealing people's deposits. She would periodically change her name as people called her out for this. That's why there are like 8 names in the thread titles, those are all the personas she has used. In 2020 she planned a tour in Toronto, taking deposits in advance. She then cancelled the tour, gave some excuse about being hacked and kept all the deposits people gave her. She then pulled the same stunt in Ottawa. I saw she is advertising in Halifax now so I wanted to warn people to hopefully prevent that from happening here as well. In total there are several dozen accusations from different accounts (in 3 different cities), many of which have 100s of posts and have been around for years. You would be hard pressed to find another provider with that many accusations. I assume the reason so many people fell for this is that unlike most scams she is the girl in the pics, and even provides service at least some of the time (there are a few positive reviews from reputable users mixed in with the mountain of scam reports). And as you pointed out she checks all the boxes for what people consider to be a "legit" provider (website, tryst, lyla, twitter, etc). Unfortunately she seems to think she is entitled to steal people's deposits for any reason she desires, and does so frequently. As a bit of an aside I've noticed a lot of people on here seem to be under the impression that if they've seen a provider before and had no problems then they are under some sort of magic spell where it is impossible for them to ever scam people. In reality there are many cases of this and even worse stuff with people getting physically robbed from providers who were at one point legit. It's also possible for people to make false accusations of course but it definitely seems like this kind of stuff is happening more recently.

Good find. Numbers don't match between LL ad and this one. This ad was updated a week ago and is from Australia. I suppose it's possible she got a new number while traveling but I'm leaning towards stolen pics for this one.

Vip Ashley Angel 4 u • White • LL
DaveM2 replied to silvershock's topic in Nova Scotia Recommendations
She was advertising about a month ago on leolist with the same pics from 2018-2019. There was another thread with a recent review but it's gone now. Haven't seen the ad for several weeks. -
On top of that almost all of them are shadow banned, meaning that if you enter anything other than their exact username it won't even pop up when you search. Which of course requires you to find them somewhere else first.
-
This is a good point if you have the ability to slip away for a few days. Montreal is pretty close and has tons of options, service is getting to be quite a bit cheaper than in Halifax too.
-
LL is the place where 99% of the ads are, it's pretty rare for a provider to not advertise on there. Of course there are tons of scams but the reason it has so many scams is because it's the most commonly used platform by far. If you are able to afford (2x price) high end providers some of them only advertise on some combination of Twitter, Tryst and the Halifax section on MERB. Most of these are touring girls, they will usually give a lot of advance notice but I find they often end up cancelling their trip at the last minute. Massage Republic and VIP Favors exist but they are both really out of date, lots of providers that retired years ago and the rates are no longer accurate in most cases. Locanto isn't very active at all and most of the ads don't even have pictures. You could try sugar baby sites, a lot more effort but I know some people have been opting for that with how few options there are these days. These sites are also full of fake profiles and unlike LL you can't compare intel with other people.

Her number is used on an ad for a different girl, only on the right side though the body of the two ads give different numbers: https://www.leolist.cc/personals/female-escorts/nova-scotia/halifax_destiny_the_freak_xoxo-9074249 https://www.leolist.cc/personals/female-escorts/nova-scotia/halifax_-9076638

In theory that would work, keep in mind lots of OF girls use bots/outsource the DM conversations though. In this case it can't hurt to try since it's free but probably not the best use of your money if you have to shell out $20-30 to subscribe each time you see an ad. -

I wouldn't trust OF for verification. Anybody can post a link to a random OF on their fake ad and just steal the pics from it, especially in this case where it's free. As was mentioned you aren't allowed to discuss meetups on there which makes it difficult to cross reference and make sure the girl who posted the ad is the same as the one in the OF.
