True but you can find providers through other provider's Twitter accounts too. You can see who they interact with or might be touring with. They retweet each other, follow one another, etc. If we take Blaire for example she was tagged in a post from another provider named Aria Ray talking about them touring together and offering duos in Calgary and I now follow Aria. You can easily go down a deep rabbit hole just bouncing around different provider twitter account if you start with one and just scroll or check who they follow. Again this doesn't help overly for us in the maritimes unless some providers you follow decide to tour here or you start talking to them and seeing if they're open to a tour but if absolutely nothing else you'll see some great pictures along your way.

True but the thing with Twitter is you can't search for providers in a specific area and end up finding them all across Canada and the US. For people who enjoy or can afford FMTY that's great but for people who don't/can't it's much more difficult to find locals that way. Most of the locals who have Twitter in NS also post on here and LL as well. To me Twitter is better used to verify a provider is real and to get a little insight into them (plus a few extra pics!). Or to find some providers I might like to see the next time I'm travelling to either their home base or somewhere they might be touring at the time.

I think you could do something discrete like just say on OF "hey I want to verify something, ignore this if it makes no sense. Verification word: banana." and then over text ask for the verification word. That keeps the OF creator safe and if it's the same person they should be able to text you the verification word you use. The reason I say it's weird is because the OF definitely looks like the same girl but on LL she's holding LL signs with dates on them as LL requires for verification and it doesn't look like the date or paper is digitally done so those photos couldn't have been stolen off her OF page. Just interesting to me.

Lots of gorgeous providers on there with extra content you might not see in their ads or website. Blaire has some lovely non professional photos which I really like to see because sometimes the professional ones are a bit overdone (not saying yours are overdone Blaire but definitely some other providers I've seen) and it's nice to get a better idea who's going to open the door when you arrive.

Twitter is great for sure but not everyone has it and the majority I've found aren't in NS. I love verifying providers on there though and it's great to see extra pics too. Some like yourself tour here which is amazing but many seem to focus more only on cities like Montréal and places west of there. Much like musicians touring Canada sometimes it feels like the east coast doesn't exist. I know FMTY and things like that are options but also significantly increases the expense and certainly is not for everyone, I'd argue probably not for the majority of people booking with companions. Obviously as mentioned here we do have locals who are great and thankfully there are people who seem to be touring as well as some agencies like YFL who come here with some regularity but other than that there aren't many new faces popping up who are local.
