ThisOneWorks 4707 Report post Posted July 27, 2010 SO I went to EB yesterday afternoon, saw a lovely lady that used to be an escort until an accidental email which included all of her past clients names forced her out of the business, in fact she had threats put on her and actually left town for a few months and had to move. But anyway, I digress . . . She told me that there was some new law that was making it extremely more difficult for the girls at EB to take off any part of their clothes including going topless. IN fact she said at one point they had even asked that the girls not even wear swmisuits while giving the massage. Was she just trying to get away from showing me her body, which was fabulous by the way, or is there some new law that I don't know about. I do know that they I have heard of them doing random room checks there, and I am fortunate enough to never had a room check done while I am there. I would actually feel quite invaded if they walked in while I was getting a "massage", and yet I can understand how a past escort could need some checking to try to ensure the "no fs" policy at EB. Thoughts??? Additional Comments: As a side note, I would like to think that everyone has heard of gmail, hotmail, yahoomail, and a host of other online mail options. fortunateone 156618 Report post Posted July 28, 2010 Pretty sure it is a city bylaw referring to massage spas specifically, so they have to comply or risk problems if there is an impromptu inspection. i remember reading about it last year some time. It does seem like Winnipeg is a touch town to work in, and there are times I think when they try to sting perfectly legal activity like setting up hotel room stings for outcalls. Not sure what they are trying to get away with there, unless they license escorts? Possibly, it is to just discourage any working sps by booking their time, giving a lecture, and sending them home without compensation. I have a rant about Winnipeg lol, that is that Winnipeg seems to misunderstand that prostitution itself is legal, and they try to intimidate or trick sps into doing something illegal, or try to intimidate someone who is working legally by threatening them with charges or problems. rubintugger 3323 Report post Posted July 29, 2010 The Winnipeg stings had nothing to do with federal law, its a local by-law infringement issue. If you advertise as an escort, you need an escort license (very expensive here for an indy, less so for an agency girl). So, the ladies are now service providers, and no longer chargable under the by-law. Haven't heard of any sting activity lately. Prostitution is legan, but living off the avails, keeping of a common bawdy house and solicitation in a public place are not. I will have to see if one of my favorites is working sometime this week I will try and go there this week. stacey0wpg 100 Report post Posted September 27, 2010 Technically when a girl starts working there she signs a form saying she will follow all the bilaws, which say girls must remain covered... ie: full piece swimsuit... another reason the girls cant wear two pieces... they have kinda just recently been enforcing it a bit more... although as far as i know girls still take their tops off... you probably just caught her on a bad day... bad day meaning she'd been room checked earlier to see if she was following the rules :( usually though some sweet words and subtle flirting goes a long way... nicer you are to the girls the nicer they are to you lol Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
