Nicolette Vaughn 294340 Report post Posted July 29, 2010 Isn't Manilow like richer than God? Didn't he end up filing for bankruptcy at some point in his career and basically had to start all over by doing a Las Vegas act because he spent more than he made? Old Dog 179138 Report post Posted July 29, 2010 Didn't he end up filing for bankruptcy at some point in his career and basically had to start all over by doing a Las Vegas act because he spent more than he made? Not sure Nicki... when I met him in 1991, he was coming up to perform at some rich kid's Bar Mitzvah in Toronto... so I am assuming that he wasn't richer than God at the point.... Carrie Moon 68826 Report post Posted August 8, 2010 I know (knew, those who passed) the parents of the Tragically Hip. Does that count?:p too funny. I know 2 members of the hip. Same age as me.. and went to Queen's Yes, Dan Akroyd has a place on Loughborough Lake, just north of Kingston. I have run into him at various occasions downtown Kingston. He likes the Pan Chancho Bakery.:p Met Dan as well in Kingston back in those days. I have met several porn actors in LA - Peter North, Mika Tan, Nina Hartley, Ron Jeremy, cousin stevie etc etc etc... I also met a few mainstream actors in LA at a coffee shop I went to who would try to act normal when I responded that no.. I wasn't a mainstream actor but rather in adult films. One was Brian Romalotti (I immediately phone Angela to tell her as she is/was a big Y&R freak).. he plays Rex Stirling Another was Elias Koteas http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000480/ who I met a few times at the same cafe.He seemed very shy but talked to me about NYC where he came back and forth from to LA when I would chat him up. I also met Lorenzo Lamas who I had a major crush on when I was younger http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001444/bio I met him on the red carpet for a lame movie called One Two Many http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0882755/ I was with Bethany Sweet after a shoot and jumped at the chance to go to a red carpet event. The movie was so lame we left 1/2 way through. I bet none of you have even heard of it! Now.. none of these (other than Bethany of course) are people I met as clients or had sex with. The rest must remain a mystery.

Carrie Moon 68826 Report post Posted August 8, 2010 Hey Nikki... I pinched Tom Green's butt when he was at the same bar where Ron Jeremy was doing his tour of his movie in the market. masterowls 249 Report post Posted August 8, 2010 The 80s:I was buying boots at a custom leather store in Toronto at the same time the band Duran Duran were in shopping. I worked for a media consulting firm and got to meet such people as Tom Cochrane, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Ronnie Hawkins, Helex, Lee Aaaron, Glass Tiger, Jane Siberry, etc. I "de-virginated" the head of a well known record label whose name I will not publish, but if you were to google his name, he's all over the Internet. I used to hang around the same crowd as Jeff Healey before he starred in Roadhouse and has career took off seeing how we were all into blues and going to open jam nights at Grossman's Tavern on Spadina Ave (near College Street in Toronto. While in Los Angeles, met Scott Columby who was in that movie "Porky's". Also met Erin Moran, who played Joanie Cunningham on Happy Days. A former boss was best friends with Allan Gregg when he was head of Decima Research in Toronto back and I used to run stuff over to his office - he was one of the original financial backers of The Tragically Hip, so I got to go to a lot of parties back then. In the past few years...just members of Parliament - big deal! No famous "clients" (that I know of) yet. A sister SP of mine who is Francophone had a famous American comedian visit her, but she never clued in as to who he was until she was flipping thru the late night talk shows and lo and behold, there is was trading cracks with Letterman. It's a small world - so make sure if you do anything indiscreet, you hide the evidence and if asked, DENY, DENY, DENY. I know several famous people including singers, a couple porn stars, a few world famous military demonstration teams. I even had the home phone numbers for several members of Bon Jovi, until some idiot nurse cleaned out my back pack, and threw out the paper they were written on. 747LeftSeat 699 Report post Posted August 9, 2010 Had lunch with Paul Newman on the beach in front of his house in Connecticut in the late 80s. I teach auto racing at a nearby race track and 2 summers ago I was humbled to have Jaques Villeneuve drive my car around the track MUCH quicker than I have ever been able to do it. Have taken John Travolta for a flight in my personal airplane.

Guest c******n****h Report post Posted August 10, 2010 I played hockey into University and had a number of ex-teamates make it to the NHL. The great thing about hockey players, is that they never consider themselves to be celebrities. It always amazed me watching a succesful businessman fall all over himself to meet some of the hockey players. I remember going with one player to a Bruce Springsteen concert and getting backstage to meet the Boss. My buddy was practically speechless. He talked about for days after. Also met Arnold Palmer at his golf course in Florida. What a gracious man! At the end of the day, a celebrity is just like you and I except they have a really cool job, or make lots of money. I have met a number of actors who wished they were pro athletes and a number of pro athletes who wished they were rock stars. It's all a state of mind. fortunateone 156618 Report post Posted August 11, 2010 Kim Cattrall Mackenzie Philips at a wrap party (and the assorted local guest stars whose names escape me now lol). Ocean Hellman (Danger bay) in step classes (3 kids, very FITTTT) i think being in Vancouver, I"ve forgotten more than I remember, mostly TV types tho filming in the neighbourhood. Not too many as clients, but a couple of singer/actor types. Oddly, a couple of clients both who work on (non-acting) Supernatural (not sure if that is a sign)
