No girl would describe herself as "nouveau" (masculine); in any case, it's obviously a translation of English "new in town" which is not how you'd say it in French. The whole thing is an attempt to represent someone as a Québecoise when they're not. Either there's no girl behind this or else the girl is not who she says she is so take that for what its worth.
